What do we like best in the new GAzette? If you haven't seen in yet, check it out! Then pick your favorite page or topic within that page. I didn't offer votes for the Front or Back page as a whole; those pages are essential, unless you want a circular GAzette. ;)

 

Post why you like your favorite page or topic, and ideas for new features in future editions of the GAzette. Thanks! :2thumbs:

 

Disclaimer: I am a new member of the Writer Support Team and the Newsletter Staff. Being so new, I contributed nothing to this first edition of the GAzette. I do want to know what people think. :)

I think I liked the advice for story promotions and the interviews the best. Though, it's hard to decide. One thing for sure, it's GREAT for future reference material due to the story promotion section, the Editing tips section, and a few others too. :boy:

So, I can vote in my own poll. :great: I wanna be an editor when I grow up, so I chose Editor's Tips & Tricks. :D

 

That was a great section, I learned a lot from it, and I'm not an editor and have no ambitions to become one. :D

The poll is showing a pretty even spread across the whole newsletter.

 

I think the problem for me was there was no single section that stood out, so picking a "favourite" was selecting from several good sections. As such, the poll isn't really showing what people are thinking about the newsletter.

 

If you want feedback on what's working/not working, try reversing the poll and asking what section people think wasn't worth being in the newsletter -- don't forget to include "None -- I liked it all" as one of the options! :D

I also had the problems Grame listed (several sections that I really enjoyed).

 

As an alternative, why not ask people to place each page/section in an order of preference or enjoyment?

 

Or even ask us to give a rating on, say, a 1 to 5 scale to each section...
