  1. That's a very pretty girl in that picture, Robyn. Is this one of the ones from the "Gallery"?
  2. Momma, I believe you were the first person to welcome me to GA. I was (and still am) so GD uninformed about so many things. But you laughed at my embarrassment and showed me the way! I have watched your predicaments unfolding as these past few months have gone by, and I marvel at your strength. I hope all will turn out ok. And when all is done--read years later--you will be able to look back and remember the exact second that you saw the last of life fading from the eyes of the person(s) responsible for your recent hardships. So go ahead and 'sue' me! I am not a forgiving type person. My wish for "Mommas Birthday" is that your life smooths out to a manageable level so that you and your family have fewer and fewer things to worry about. I wish for you guys to be able to enjoy your new surroundings and just enjoy life as we all should. Happy Birthday Momma!
  3. huggs- times SO many.
  4. Clovis. What a sweet person you are for posting this. So many people seem to be unable to separate" bullying" from what they seem to see as just a 'normal' comment. Even comments made in *jest* can stab a person as deeply as a knife. Joel Burns is one hell of a start when it comes to what we need to STOP this! As my old bumper-sticker says--"WORDS CAN HIT A CHILD AS HARD AS A FIST----STOP USING WORDS THAT HURT". It would be SO nice if we ALL thought about what we are GOING to say BEFORE we open our 'traps'. Just sayin'. And thanks, Clovis.
  5. WOW!! I was only able to make it to the chain saw.
  6. Ricky,
  7. pvt. Tim, That is so unbelieveable! That a teacher (or any person) would have so much personal drive to follow through with this for so many years is just , well, exceptionally special!! Thanks for the link, Tim.
  8. YAY!!!! I can go back to reading "Weeping Lily"! I already was POSITIVE that you wouldn't do that! *dries 'happy' tears*
  9. Wait just a minute here!! At 63 you call yourself "an old fart"? heh heh The *real* old farts have you covered, dude! And welcome 'home'.

    Cajun jokes

AAAAHHHHHHH! Stir those into a cup of coffee and it's "Hello world!" Thanks, James.
  11. @ Zland666 I have seen SO many grammatical mistakes everywhere! But as so many posts have pointed out, we still get what you are saying! There are several people here who post such hilarious posts just because they don't necessarily 'know' the way that we are used to hearing/seeing it! I won't mention names for obivious reasons, but I jump on their posts BECAUSE of the humour in the mistranslation (sp) of the English language! With an open mind, a whole lot of us can, and DO, enjoy you! Carry on, Z! There are quite a few 'silent' ones out here who love your work.
  12. And all I need is an address! That was funny! Thanks Eva!
  13. Tomas, I have to plead 'guilty' regarding the "dead tree books". OH CRAP! Are you pulling my leg?? Books from trees?? Paper? Reading a book/story is one way to deal with a mind that is maybe going into overload, but there are so doggone many OTHER ways. I have always loved the outside world--nature--so I have learned over these years to watch the little creatures and how they react to each other and 'yes or no' get ALONG with each other! Thanks, Tomas! I was just asking. hugs
  14. I have been replacing the deck out back of my shop/shack. For three days now, after accomplishing each day's work quota, I have gotten a *cold one* (or more, meh) and just relaxed while watching nature's *livestock*. From the interaction between the beetle and the ant--dragonflys fighting each other (only to stop the 'fight' and fly off in tandem) jeez--bunnies--endless birds and everything else, I'm curious now. When things get down on you--how do you cope? How do you tell the world to "Kiss Off", even if it is only briefly?
  15. James! This sounds so interesting. Right now I'm leaning toward a *Hitler* type of society? Or are we WAY beyond that? Just asking.
  16. Awww--Andy--doggone it!! I was all set to say "BAD DOG!!! You get to live in a heavenly place and I don't!!" Oh well, I got to say it anyhow. p Cool playmate, Vic!
  17. Momma! Am I the only one to bust you for a clever post? Dammit! hehe

    Whoa

I believe that you are speaking for BOTH of us, Mr. Tipdin!
  19. You have started my day with a smile, Mr. James. Thank you! You are quite the man.
  20. NOWHERE BUT NOWHERE! Has anyone seen ANY mention of one of Tony's best (imo) movies EVER? ("The Great Race")? Jesus! Tony Curtis-Jack Lemon-Natalie Wood-Peter Faulk and many others! Damn! Oh wait, *Jesus* was NOT one of the cast members. WAAAAAY before "Columbo* Peter Faulk was outstanding as a foil to Jack Lemon's *bad guy/black hat* persona. OH GOD! Whatever your age--try to watch this movie!! Yes. Tony Curtis gave me some of the very BEST entertainment of my life. And he also gave the WORLD Jamie Lee Curtis, and THAT is something else! She's SO sexy.....ummmmm To THIS DAY, whenever I see a couple kissing, I say out loud, "Does this mean we don't get no beans?" You HAVE to see the movie! Age should NOT be feared! It IS going to happen! Just go with the flow, because it (life) happens so damn fast that you won't even see or hear it until you realize that you missed it.
  21. I really like the last picture, K.Ben. All three are quite gawjus but #3 looks just so much more *down-to-earth* and ready to 'hang' with. (IF I were a few years younger.) Anyhow, you're quite cute.
  22. So THAT'S how it's supposed to be done. Damn! I'll bet you have more fun than I will tonight. I'm so happy for you, Krista. (ahem-I mean BOTH of you, of course.) heh Congratulations!
  23. I'M ALREADY LOADED!!!

    Whoa

Thanks Rilbur! Now I don't feel so *out of it*!
  25. Good GRIEF!!! Did you catch me with my knickers down? I was only--NOT BORN--when Roosevelt died, then? Must be *oldtimers*! And a great loss of American History on this end.
