  1. At last! We have come to where David has to figure out why he has been telling himself and others and also assuming that "he can't be gay". It is something which has been puzzling me for a while now. I'm looking forward to how he puzzles it out. In almost every other respect he is immensely self-aware, it is only that one seeming blind spot. I do, however, suspect something in his early life.

    Early April

A wonderful chapter, in all senses of the word! From the glory of that first sunrise, to the small friendship with the two boys, to the eventual rapprochement with Toph's brothers you have painted a delightful warm picture of Toph finally coming out into the reality of his life and love. Thanks.
  3. Quite a wild ride, but so worthwhile! Only discovered this story a few days ago and have binged on it ever since. Thanks so much for writing and sharing this wonderful story, and if you were serious about having some notes for a sequel lying around and you are still about, we would all be quite delighted to read more. B.
  4. Great start here for your first shifter story. I am really looking forward to seeing where it takes us

    Epilogue

If only all authors could write such an enjoyable and engaging story as their first effort! I look forward to whatever you choose to grace us with next.
  6. Thank you so much for letting us all share in this wonderful story. A journey from horror to happiness which has reminded us all that we are human and that there is no greater good that we can offer to our fellow humans than kindness.

    Growin' Up

Where are the cliffhanger police when you really need them???? At least we know that you won't leave us in suspenders too long.

    Late January

Hooray! Stagnant, quasi-resentful Toph was beginning to be a worry. So much lovely movement in this chapter. I am inquisitive to know what Toph's mother said to break him and Steve apart, but probably just the contact was quite sufficient. Bravo, Teddy! I think I like him. Please note Anglicans do not have Monsignors. Priests, Precentors, Deans, Canons, Bishops and Archbishops, yes, Monsignors are a Roman manifestation, or infestation, if you prefer.
  9. Thanks Bill for this epic effort which has been a fascinating journey. I, too, am looking forward to whatever story finds you next and demands to be told.
  10. Hi Skinny, I hope the David is going to be OK. All this mental mumbling about perhaps leaving David on the shelf and keeping David2 instead smacks of mental illness. Not that David doesn't have every right to be upset, of course. I laughed out loud when David asked Martha for help with the protocols for the virgin sacrifice. Wonderful!
  11. Thank you so much for bringing Andy back to Eustace's farm. The evolving dynamics between Andy and "Z" are beautiful to see as well. Having Zander see, not only the work that Andy did on the farm, but also the obviously high regard which Eustace has for him will help Zander "place" Andy in the world, not just in their lives together. I was fascinated to learn that Eustace wasn't all that enamoured with his own name and still saddled Ambrose with one almost as antique. I really enjoyed this chapter.
  12. An egregious error which I have noticed of late is the use of "shown" instead of "shone". I suspect it to be based in the way the word is pronounced in the Southern states of the U.S.A. Please, if something was shiny, then it shone. Now that I have shown you the error of your ways, you will know better! Hopefully.

    Story

A beautiful treatment of a heart-wrenching situation. It brought back to me my mother's descent into dementia, although she had more lucid days than some. It was a wonderful touch to include Jager and the joy that it gave Glenn to see him being ridden and enjoyed. It is always the little things like that which bring joy to those becoming lost in their own minds.
  14. Wow, so many reviews! I shall be delighted when the Chandler woman (she deserves no honorific) next oversteps her authority and gets her comeuppance. It is absolutely wonderful to see Andy coming out of his shell a little and if the interfering busybodies will let him settle for a while, he may stop thinking about running away every time something upsets him.

    Chapter 26

Wonderful chapter! I have seldom enjoyed one more. I suspect that there is even more to Ethan, somehow, being a spectacularly marked (pardon the pun) white wolf.

    Late November

I am enjoying this so much that I'm almost shy of putting my thoughts in writing, but the artist is most assuredly due his fee! The wit and lightness of the writing belies the dark and dangerous genesis of the story. Toph has gradually stopped referring to himself in the third person and is gradually dipping his toes into life and emotionally blossoming as he does so. I wonder if his mother will ever know of the kindness which he did her in convincing Gary to change his attire? The tipping point for the story is rushing up to meet us, as Toph's meeting with Gary's father approaches. Will he close off once more in the rarified power atmosphere of the boardroom, or can his newfound freedom carry him forward? I, for one, am looking forward to the answer; and I wish him well.
  17. A bit of drama, but overall a sweet and gentle chapter. Andy and Xander are really delightful kids. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely story with us. So dark at the beginning and so much light and love now.

    Chapter 11

Gosh, you are making this into a real tease, aren't you? So far we know that Ethan's blood is 100% healthy human, that his eyes glow and that he seems to levitate water droplets when ecstatically kissing his mate. Ruling out his being an as yet unknown type of shifter (there goes the Dragon postulate) then he must be some kind of "empowered" human or be harbouring some kind of special spirit. I'm really looking forward to finding out what is special about this likeable young man.
  19. Great to see another chapter of The Mouse! Tremendous work, Caz.

    Chapter 24

Your wonderful finale brought me to happy tears. I, too, have been blessed to be a part of music performances that have been entrancing and have set my soul flying. I shall miss Mirri and Jarra terribly but I anticipate the next instalment of the Terran Diaspora will be every bit as engaging and joyful as the first two have been. ColumbusGuy's comments are echoed in my heart also. Bravo and many thanks.

    Ira Dei

Dies Irae indeed! I hope Mira is able to curb Shay's newfound wrath and urge to vengeance. Looking forward to discovering more about the Voice, too. Great work.

    Chapter 2

Quite a reasonable premise and nicely developed so far, apart from Hunter's assurances that what he will be doing will be within the law. He's already seriously hacked the city's camera systems, after all! I look forward to watching the tale develop and the purveyors of hatred get their just deserts.
  23. An awesome start to what could be a great story. I hope that you are sufficiently inundated to persuade you to continue for a few (tens of) chapters.
  24. Love the thought of re-lifed Neanderthals and the nano tech is eventually inevitable. Please continue, I'm keen to see where your muse leads you and your characters.

    Chapter 23

    Wombats, indeed!
