What a wonderful story, SA! At one point i had actually thought Colin's secret admirer was his ex-boyfriend! After all, who else would know all this about him? But i was so happy to read that it was Ken; Ken seems like a great guy. I loved when he told Colin he tried flirting with him almost two years prior, and he took so much time in creating that carving of Solomon. Colin gives 100% of himself to everything - Solomon, his job, and the Safe House. He's a wonderful person who gives up most of his weekends to help others. Oh, which reminds me - how did Pete know Colin was gay? I thought only Richard and Amy knew... So glad Colin took a risk and gave his heart to Ken. Terrific story, SA! Again, you are making this so hard to pick just ONE story!

Well, not being any form of Christian, I had no idea this story could have been about the original St. Valentine. It never dawned on me. I know nothing about the original Valentine. But I will say that this was a FANTASTIC story, and I am sooooo sad to see it end!! A sequel is definitely in order!! Seriously though, this was a fabulous story, SA. I must confess, when I read it was about historical times I groaned. Those stories aren't my cup of tea, but...I am so glad I started reading it; I couldn't put it down! You had me hooked from the first line! Terrific job, SA! You definitely made it much harder for me to pick a favorite story!

Wow. What an amazing story, SA. Your attention to detail was amazing. I felt like I was right there when Adam and Steve were ambushed in Mosul. And the whole plot with the chemical weapons being delivered and ISIS was very educational. It was a heartbreaking story for all involved. Terrific job, SA.

Jeez, I went from the Cupid story before this, laughing and grinning, to reading this and bawling my eyes out. What an emotional story, SA. And so, so scary. It could happen to anyone. Like Tim, I was thinking that Adam was the one with dementia (Alzheimers? Not sure what the difference is), until their family showed up. Then I realized it was Glenn who had it. SA, you wrote a beautiful story. I'm still in tears. Terrific job.

The banter between the guardian and Theo was hysterical! I was every time they had a conversation! It was such a sweet story, and you could tell they were made for each other! Great story, SA!

What a sweet story, Secret! You had me all choked up there when Fred was telling Carissa about Maggie. My lab also died unexpectedly in October - brought back a lot of sad memories. I thought it was so sweet of Fred's SA to leave all those little gifts and cards for Fred. Boy, Nick must have gotten to the office at like four in the morning to set things up every day! lol I had a feeling it was Nick. Great story, SA!

Graeme was very astute when he noticed the 'It' and not 'They' when Toph was describing his family. I suppose since they don't act like a family should act with Toph, he subconsciously thinks of them as 'it'. And speaking of which, I really loved Toph's description of the parts of his life that are stored behind little white fences. I'm equating these little white fences with David's little compartments and shelves in his mind. It's the same concept, right? It is exciting when two or more of these aspects of Toph's life can merge together, such as the dinner with Big Joe, Jo (lol) and he and Steve. When he does this, he becomes more like a real, visible person. Why is Niles so smitten with Toph? How did he learn so much about him? He seems familiar to Toph, but has he ever met him before? Hmmm, maybe his father hired him at some point? Or his mother? Another awesome chapter, Skinny!

There's not much else I can say that your readers didn't already comment on. Interesting though about AC's thoughts on Toph having DID. From what I know of DID, I thought the person develops alternate personalities because they can't deal with life as a whole person, something like schizophrenia, but not quite. Maybe I'm totally wrong. But if that were the case, there would be a new name for each personality. He wouldn't be Toph for everyone. Anyway...it was an educating chapter in SkinnyLand. (Thanks, Jess! ). Toph can't finish Austin's portrait because he has unfinished business with Austin (dealing with his feelings maybe?), and obviously Austin can't come through the painting if Toph isn't sure of the context of the portrait. Did that even make any sense? lol Of course he's not going back to Euphoria, but maybe he can get a message to Austin through Niles? Just a thought. One reader (I'm too lazy to check who though! lol), mentioned how Toph thought he was so invisible in Euphoria, and we only see things through his eyes, in his perspective. We don't hear anyone else's pov, so we don't know what they're thinking of Toph. We know through Niles that Nico was very worried about Toph, and he really missed him, and he loves him. Toph was surprised at Nico's admission. Toph's invisibility cloak was firmly in place in Euphoria, but it must have had some holes in it because he was visible to his friends. He wasn't truly real, like there in the moment. I can't explain it. Toph needs to be himself with everyone and not hide behind his invisibility cloak. Also, why is Toph constantly thinking that any relationship he might have with another boy will only be short-term? It's so obvious that Steve really likes Toph. I'm sure Steve isn't looking at this as some short-term thing; I think he'd be really hurt if he knew Toph didn't have any long-term plans for them. Same with the General. If he ever gave the General a chance, as far as Toph is concerned, it would only be for the here and now, not in the future. Ok, on to chapter six.

Ooohhhh poor Gary. I can just imagine what his face looked like when he realized Toph was going to leave the 'dinner party' to hang out with SOME OTHER GUY!!!! Personally, I think it was rude on Toph's part to leave because he was actually invited to this get-together. Niles' letter was very interesting. I wonder what Toph will do with that info. Another great chapter, Skinny!

Terrific chapter, Skinny! Toph's coming out to Joanne and his roommies was just perfect. Totally took them ALL by surprise! Now I can talk about Niles! lol What IS up with that kiss? It was pretty strange that a total stranger did that to Toph (even though Niles has probably learned a lot about Toph and really likes him, to Toph it's just weird! lol). And of course Niles proves that his friends really did care for him, and they miss him (at least Nico, but I'm sure the rest also). I think it's wonderful that Toph is exploring his artistic side, and I bet Naomi is thrilled she gets to teach him.

I finally started reading this, Skinny, and I must say, you need to update way more frequently! I'm hooked! I find it so interesting that Toph (keep wanting to call him Topher like the kid from That 70's Show), equates his pre-New Glory days with invisibility (and understandably so given what his horrible family is like), to his post-Euphoria, where he is indeed visible. Although, I believe he was visible to his friends, especially Nico and probably Austin too. I like the way he switches back and forth between "I" and "Toph", as if he's distancing himself from himself so to speak. Or looking in to Toph's life as an outsider. Do you know what I mean? I think his roommies are great. Of course it never dawned on me what Spikey said in his review. Wow, that would be interesting now, wouldn't it? lol I just can't believe he totally blew off his friends by getting rid of his contacts and his old phone. I would be really upset if I were them (not sure when Niles happens by, so I won't say anything - I'm actually on chapter five now - just stopping in to review. ). Oh, and funny thing about Toph's name: I never knew it was a shortened form of Christopher. It wasn't until I started watching That 70's Show a few years ago, that I realized Topher Grace's real name was Christopher. lol You have a great story here, Skinny! I love it!

Oh, damn, Mitchelll, I forgot to mention a typo. "Finance" in the context you were using it, is really "fiancee". I guess it's like when people write "defiantly" instead of "definitely".

Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. Of COURSE VP has Jason under watch. Omg. He's gonna think Jason CALLED the detective to rat out what VP said about Shane's attackers, now Shane's dead attackers. This is NOT going to bode well for Jason. Very interesting conversation though. Loved the description of the Hotel Hospital, or should it be the Hospital Hotel? I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Please don't take so long next time!!! Ok, so I know you have a life outside of GA, but really, you need to update sooner!! lol

"We'll start our diets tomorrow." As A&M said at the end of the last chapter. lol They had an awesome time with T&C; I don't know if they'll be able to start their diets tomorrow, or any tomorrow in the near future. We'll see though. Thomas may be feeling guilt. Actually, knowing how sensitive Thomas is, I think he's going to be really upset because he still loves Colt, and being able to 'be' with Colt in the foursome, and then reality is back when it's all over, with no Colt, I would think would be depressing for him. Wow, what a long sentence! I think he'll start missing Colt all over again and reopen that wound. Wonder what the good old doctor will say when they confess their foursome. I think he'll be a little disappointed in them, even though deep inside he probably knew they were going to go through with it. We'll see if there are any consequences/repercussions to their actions. Speaking of which, thank GOD they didn't start fooling around in the hot tub! Boy, that was really close with Colt's parents coming home so early!! lol

What is going on with Luke's mother? Why is she always giving Jackson the evil eye? And why is Luke being so friendly with Jackson, especially since Jackson has been pretty gruff with him. Parker brought up an excellent point; why have Jackson's friends (and especially his g/f), not been to the house trying to see him? Looking forward to the next installment!

I can't believe they're releasing Trey this early either! It's wonderful that the swelling on his brain has gone down, and I'm hoping that his legs will get better. I guess I'd just feel better if he was staying in the hospital a little longer. And I agree with Mark; he should have been there, but then I guess the things he needs to do now would have never gotten done. Thank God Brent's gonna help.

Who woulda thought Chuck would be this nice kid w/no friends? David really is nice. Now Chuck will be sitting with David and Co. "for the rest of the year". I laughed at that. His friends are too cool -- what David says, goes. lol You can tell Chuck idolizes David even more than he did before! Also glad David calmed down. His anger almost got the best of him. Again. Sam is a genius! I'm so jealous of his computer knowledge. He lost me at encryption. I really hope he comes up with something good to get Tommy's mother and Pig Fucker away from David and his private space (his room). I wonder if Twoey had a talk with Erik, or if he let his hormones run wild. Now I'm all caught up, Skinny. I need the next chapter!!!!!

Ewwww to Mg's comment! lol But I CAN see that happening! It is beyond creepy that Johnson was in David's room. If I were David I would want to fumigate it and get an exterminator or something. Yuck. Ugh, next week watch Josiah Fucking Coulton will be there too! Erik must be chomping at the bit to get with Twoey. Has he been with anyone else? Personally, I think he really likes Twoey. Maybe as Jess said in her review, David's jealousy over Erik invading David's space in Twoey's room will wake David up from his trip down De Nile to finally face his emerging feelings for Twoey. I still hope Mike's anxiety over Saturday is for nothing.

De Nile is a river in Africa. David is floating on this denial (haha, lame joke, I know! ) river by asking Lanni to the Halloween dance. And he thinks Twoey's ok with this???? I kinda think he's sending Twoey mixed signals. Even though Twoey "knows David's straight", he was sorta counting on a relationship with him, right? A more-than-friends relationship. But of course maybe subconsciously, this is one way of David letting Twoey go. Idk... I thought David's reason for forgiving Gary was so sweet, so mature -- it made me tear up. Seriously. I can feel Mike's uneasiness regarding Saturday. I hadn't thought of it before, but yeah, David is pretty volatile, even though he's working on that. Hopefully nothing will happen to piss him off. He might have to find a bench to meditate on for a few minutes! At least Mike will be on his own turf, so to speak.

I'm so thankful Doc Keating convinced David to wait a bit before he breaks it off with Twoey. By him uttering "I love you too. You have no idea how much." (I'm paraphrasing here), AFTER he hangs up with Twoey, is that like convincing himself, or he's playing the martyr thinking I love you so much, and that's why I'm going to end it with you, and I'm sorry we'll both be hurt, but I''m not gay, so you need to find a boy who is. Or something to that effect. We already know David's in denial. I know he won't be able to end things with Twoey if he looks Twoey in the eyes. Twoey's eyes are his downfall. So now he finally finds out that Gary betrayed him with all that Kathy shit. In Gary's defense, he didn't know Kathy lied and set the whole thing up just to make Cal the Cheater jealous. Neither did Mel. I wonder what David will do about this knowledge. Will he wait until after the Syracuse trip to spring it on Gary? Speaking of the trip, David makes it sound so logical to Mike why he wants Gary and him to meet. It is weird though. Especially if he's planning on keeping this from Twoey. He doesn't think Twoey will find out from Mike? Then HE might feel betrayed in some way. Burch is an ass, and I agree with David; I don't think he's allowed to impose his religious beliefs on his students. They don't go to a religious school, after all. It's funny how Tommy's mother thinks her son is so mean just because he's not raising his voice and arguing with her! She's such a nutcase! lol I actually wish David WOULD go to the Bible study group on Wednesday (oh no! Wednesday! Spy camera day! ), just so he could piss off Enos! lol

Wow, what a chapter! I had anxiety, thinking Zander's bus was going to crash because of the snow! Thank God he made it back ok. His family is terrific. Even if they don't really understand it, they are supporting Zander, and they still love him. Which of course should never change anyway, and to me, it's unfathomable that a family member would stop loving a relative because he or she is gay. That's just ridiculous. IMO Unfortunately, I know it happens way too often. Just like it's unfathomable that Andy's sperm donor and his "uncle" abused him like that. Greg is an ass to out these other kids. And on FB no less! I'm glad Andy was able to speak with the priest openly. Oh, did he ever go back and finish Mrs. M's shoveling? lol
