I agree with Matt; I love looking at abstract paintings trying to figure out what they mean. Avery's so cute though - spaghetti and meatballs! lol Luckily he didn't get a glimpse of the other painting like Matt did. I love these shorts, Mom; I love revisiting A&M.

Thanks, Gary! I'll have to check it out tomorrow...and catch up with your poems.

Wow, I just finished this chapter, and I see you posted chapter eight already. lol I think Adam will be good for Jason. At any rate, Adam can help him get out of his house every now and then. The few days away sounds like fun, but yeah, awkward with sis around. lol

Is that really him on the cover? He doesn't look anything like I remember. lol Either way though - hot, hot, hot!

And teach them how to pack the caaaa in the gaaage. Ok, so I totally screwed up the last word, but it was wicked fun writing it. And don't think for a minute I'm making fun of you; I was born in Beantown and went to college there, and I would probably be still living there if I could. But enough of that - CONGRATS to all for this monumental history-making event for all LGBT people. -
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY W_L!!!!! I hope you had a great day!

I'm thrilled Silas finally called Jack (for Brady, of course ). He was a bit flirty on the phone. lol I'm really glad they had a chance to reconnect. I'm looking forward to them meeting again in person.

Totally didn't expect Silas to hear the song from Tara! Being such a huge fan of rock, and saying she would love if someone dedicated and wrote a song about her, I would have thought she would be way more excited playing the song for Silas. Actually, she didn't seem excited at all. I would have been jumping up and down b/c you know, I'm a groupie and all...lol Beautiful song, Cynus! I'm glad you posted it in the chapter b/c I haven't even had time to check out your forum! And I'm a chapter behind now, so I'm gonna read that one next.

This was such a heartbreaking story, Lit. -
Renee!!!! You're back!!! It was great seeing Trey and Mark again, although the end of the phone call was really sad. It's not like Trey's going to school abroad for a year; he's going to war, and God knows what can happen to him over there. Mark is going to have anxiety until he hears from Trey again. Trey's parents are so wonderful. I can't believe the offer Gary proposed to Trey about Mark. That's so nice of him. Mark does need a distraction, that's for sure, but right now I think his distraction will be Brent and Matthew. I still don't understand his sister. Does she have DID or something? Maybe she's schizo? Something's going on with her, that's for sure. I love the words 'sperm donor', and they definitely fit the man Mark used to think of as his father. Too bad he was never a real dad to him. Great chapter, Renee!

Fantastic review, AC!!!!! I'm so not into were-creatures and the like, as you know, AC, but your review was so good that I just might turn to the dark side. lol J/K But seriously, your review was excellent, and I might just check out the story (which I would have never looked at before), because of your review. -
I read all the reviews you got from this poem and your responses. I wanted to respond to your response to Clochette's review. You are a FANTASTIC poet, Gary. My mouth is hanging open with every poem you write. Like CG, this poem hit VERY close to home, but instead of my parents, it was me. My ex cheated on me with a woman at his job, a woman who knew he was married...with children. She was married and had a little boy herself. I had three little boys at the time. But the one time turned into many times and he was the one who walked out. I never knew of all these times until he told me he was leaving. I feel for this man in the poem b/c he regretted his one-night stand. My ex never regretted his many-night stands. And if I'm honest with myself, I would understand if Kate decided to give him another chance. I agree with Isaac below; he would have confessed to Kate. The guilt would have killed him. I was stupid enough that I would have taken my ex back in a heartbeat if it had been an isolated incident. Yes, the trust would have been shattered, but that could eventually be built up again. I think...he did ruin it for me in the trust department though, I will admit. I don't trust any guy. lol But I would have taken into consideration the children and what divorce would do to them. Divorce is extremely difficult at any age, but I think it's worse for younger children who don't understand why daddy or mommy aren't home anymore. They feel abandoned also, along with the spouse. Anyway, I think I'm going off on a tangent. lol This topic is just too personal for me. Which goes to show you, Gary, that you did an EXCELLENT job with the poem. Ok, onto all the other poems I somehow missed. I must have been living under a rock for the past few weeks. lol

This is not good. Chelsea is still in a really bad place even though she's putting on a brave face for everybody. I just thought of this as I was writing the previous sentence: is it possible that Chelsea's suicide attempt was in fact a murder attempt, the same way it seems that Daniel was killed? I'm beginning to believe Silas. It doesn't make any sense that Daniel would kill himself. When Silas first brought up the rape, I thought maybe he did kill himself b/c he was so depressed and humiliated and upset -- upset that now he was 'tainted' and 'dirty' and Adam would want nothing to do with him. Also, add in the fact that Adam was now not his first. But it makes sense that either the first pastor (forgot his name, sorry), or Chelsea's father had something to do with it. I love murder mysteries, so bring it on! lol Also, interesting fact: my middle son wants to go to Boulder for his Masters, and my youngest wants to go there for his undergrad. I believe Boulder is ranked in the top five or ten for best colleges in the field of psychology.

I had a feeling Emma was a relative of Silas'. I'm so glad that another family member has been trying to track him down. I loved Theo's protectiveness over Silas. He spoke with such passion, and now we know why. It's so wonderful that the band is protecting Silas, and not fully trusting Emma. She seems truthful to me, and I hope that she can reconnect with Silas and Ian soon. Terrific chapter, Cynus!

Taylor Dayne was great back in the day. You're way too young to know her music! lol And didn't you have a birthday the other day????

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BOB!!!!! Hope you had an awesome day!!

Every time I hear this on the top 40 stations, I want to shout "Country music got him first!" lol. He's a Highway Find, on SiriusXM, The Highway channel. His first song was "Leave the Night On"; it's a great song, you should check it out. Also, his new song "House Party" is another great song. Do they play these other two on the top 40 stations? I've never heard them outside of the country stations.

IT'S OFFICIAL NOW: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VAL!!!!! I hope you're having an awesome day!!

The scene with Silas, Ian, and Amy was very touching. I also was touched when Silas didn't want to let go of Addy's leash at the barbershop. Poor Silas has gone through so much at such a young age. He learned about betrayal from one of his best friends, and he had to suffer at the hands of sleazy, slimy pedos for the past two years. Silas has finally found a home and he FINALLY heard the song! I can't wait till he hears it again, and hopefully the dj will announce the dedication to the song. Terrific chapter, Cynus.
