Adam is definitely a nice guy, I loved it when he ordered two big meals, just so he could innocently pawn one off on Silas. Chelsea's sperm donor (he does not have the honor of being called her father since he physically abused her, and verbally I assume also), should get his pastorhood (or whatever it's called) taken away, his collar or something. Idk...I'm not a religious person, so I'm not sure if that's something the church would do to a physically abusive "parent", and I use that term loosely also. Ah, but this particular church, and this particular town will probably rejoice with what that person did to Chelsea. Getting back to Wendy's...I was surprised they let Addy in, you know, due to sanitary reasons and all. lol Oh, and I read that you don't know anything about dogs. Here's one big no-no: don't ever feed a dog pork - no bacon, no ham, etc. Hot dogs are another no-no b/c they can actually choke. Chocolate is very bad for them, gum - one of the ingredients in gum - Xylitol - can kill dogs. Let me know if you want to know more. lol I'm thrilled Silas was smart enough to bring Chelsea to his brother's restaurant. I think now that he knows the truth about Ian and how he tried to get in contact with him, he might stop running. Which would be great considering the band might be coming back to find him. I was so hoping Adam would turn on a rock station when they were in the car. I was hoping Silas would hear "his" band playing! lol Damn, Adam, why do you have to hate rock???? Great chapter, Cynus! Ooohh, and I get another one tomorrow!! Yay! lol

I'm so late to the party I can say ditto what everyone else said! lol Although I really didn't think anything when Adam came into the restroom while Silas was still cleaning up. I get the feeling that even though Silas is only 16, he can take care of himself if someone were to make a move on him or something. When Tara cut herself off while half-explaining to Silas what happened, I thought she was about to say something that would make her and Chelsea more than friends. Hey, even if Chelsea is attracted to Silas, she could also be attracted to girls. Now I can read chapter eight and get all caught up!

That was beautiful, Cole. It gave me chills. Loved the part where you went trick-or-treating and you were actually ALLOWED to eat the apples!! May your next fifty be filled with love, health, happiness, family, and friends. Happy B-day, Cole!!

Max is healing very well emotionally. I'm so glad he's seeing a psychiatrist. I enjoyed this first chapter. Max has come a very long way since the beginning of Frozen Heart.

Wow, your descriptions of Max's blank mind and his thoughts swirling around said mind really gave me chills. Thank God Aaron was able to pierce through his fogged up mind and bring him back.

Poor Max. He never was able to deal with his parents' deaths b/c his aunt was never around, and she wasn't maternal to begin with...he just retreated into himself and became Ghost. I'm glad Ghost is now gone, but I'm afraid that if Max doesn't work on what happened all those years ago, Ghost will return. Peter is such an ass. I hate bullies also.

White-Chocolate Antifreeze is just a perfect name for a band. I picture the band to play alt rock, maybe heavy metal...is that still in? lol I'm so far out of the loop in music these days; I've been listening to too much country. I do like Owl City, though. The ending brought tears to my eyes; it was so powerfully written and emotionally charged. I could feel how much the band loved and missed Silas, especially Braids. I'm so glad the audience loved the song (and the band) also. Hopefully someone out there will get them a contract. I would have loved to read the lyrics...(hint hint ) Wonderful chapter, Cynus. You always leave me wanting more.
