How low can you get to use your mentally challenged son in a kidnapping? MD is scum, like on the bottom of your shoe. Obviously someone posed as Wyatt for the cabbie. Couldn't be Eddie unless he was hunched over quite a bit. Hmm, there wouldn't be any connection to Darrin, would there? What a twist that would be! MD digging deep into Wyatt's personal history, finding Darrin, and both of them masterminding this whole kidnapping. So glad Marc's dad is on the case!

Wow, reading the reviews made me think of something that hadn't even entered my head: the large envelope 'mailed' to MD's house could be a fake Dear Bryan letter. Why on earth would Wyatt send something like this to MD's house and not Bryan's? That wouldn't make any sense. Not that Wyatt would do that anyway. Just sayin'... Was it the butler who came down the stairs? I can't remember if you described him. Why did seeing this person send Wyatt into a state of panic? Does he know this man? Or, if it is the butler, then he'll know MD is behind all this. Whew! Thank God I don't have to wait days to read the next chapter! There's something to be said for not being able to read your favorite stories for weeks! lol

Mom! I can't keep up with your quick posting! lol I, too, felt Bryan and Sarah's nervousness about Wyatt's well-being. I can see Bryan wearing a hole through the carpet just from pacing back and forth. Waiting another 24 hours is going to be very hard for them. But Sarah's right; they can start with the park, but I'd call the cab company (or all of them) to see if anyone had a call to pick him up from MD's place (yvw, Reader! - although I'm so late with this review you'll probably never see the thank you. lol). Ok, on to chapter eight.

I'm with Tim; Gary's reviews are always awesome and totally spot on about the characters. He's always one of the first to review a chapter, and I'm probably the last, so basically I write: 'I ditto Gary.', and I'm done. I always agree with his reviews, and I certainly can't write better ones, so I just piggyback on his. He's also a terrific author (still have tons of chapters to catch up on for COTT). His poems are simply amazing - have Kleenex handy. Andrew's Riding Lessons and all the stories taken from the original are so good. Plus I've learned a lot about riding and horses! The same holds true for Sasha; I've learned much about horses and car racing and murderball (?) from all of Sasha's stories. And where is Sasha, btw? And Andrew? They need to come back.

I'm with Val; I definitely needed my Kleenex here, and I'll just hang onto the box for the next chapter. I can imagine this would have been very cathartic to write, and of course painful to go back and dig those memories up. Although I have a feeling you wouldn't have to dig too far. Loss is experienced differently for everyone. Some can go through their stages of grief and then move on, others never really get over their loss. I'm glad you were able to look at everything in a different light, a more positive light.

Hopefully they weren't moving too fast, and Dave will still respect Reece in the a.m.! As your other readers said, Dave doesn't seem to be bothered by Reece's small house (apartment?), but then again, if he did, what's he going to say? Nothing. lol Hopefully Dave isn't lacking in the funds department. Having two people without money is no fun when you want to go out.

Dave seems like a really nice guy. Maybe between Dave and Reece's cousins, they can give Reece some confidence. Having your family treat you like crap is a horrible thing. Even though they didn't kick him out, their actions speak louder than words. Ok, on to chapter three.

I love your new story, Renee! Poor Reece - his family is shit (save for his cousins, God bless Josh! ). I can't believe his aunt was so utterly obnoxious. She just assumed Dave was there with Reece, and she didn't even apologize, did she? She just continued her obnoxiousness. What a bitch. And his "parents" just walk away, they don't stick up for him, nothing. It's like he doesn't even exist for them anymore. Great chapter! I'm looking forward to the next one.

I knew this was posted in June, but I had it on my "To Read" list. I didn't realize though, that the beginning of the story was so long ago! It was a riveting story, Krista, and I'm sitting here with tears running down my face wondering what happened to Alex. What happened? I was so not expecting that to just sort of come out of the blue. I'm so sad for Dan, and also sad for Mattie, because he'll only know his other dad through Dan's words, and the pictures he shows his son. This was a terrific story, Krista. Now you need to write a sequel where maybe Dan finds more love. My youngest son is named Matthew Alexander (his middle name too). You know where I got that from? Alex Trebek. lol I was reading baby names and he named his son Matthew Alexander, and I said, that's it! That's going to be his name. lol

Hey Cynus, I'm sorry you're going through so much. I'm pretty sure I had social anxiety when I was growing up, but fortunately, I had (have) a best friend who was so outgoing, she dragged me everywhere. Of course back then I was just 'shy'. Now my son has the same thing. Except he doesn't have a best friend who will drag him out of the house. Social anxiety and depression are very debilitating, as Val said. I also think talking to someone might help tremendously, as Gary mentioned. The therapist might even prescribe some meds to help you. Don't be ashamed to take meds if you need them; they do help considerably. We're here for you, Cynus, should you need us. Good luck. =)

I agree with CG; it sounds like Danny likes David as more than friends. I wonder if David ever noticed that Danny touches him so much. David was so nice doing his good deed for the day. Greg was cute when he got all flustered in asking David. Now why did Sam tense up when David explained about Kathy and how he was going to take her to that Tim's place. Does Sam like Kathy? What a fantastic start, Dodger. I'm so impressed by your first chapter. You had me in tears when reading about Robbie's mom dying, and his anger at her and everyone and everything else. His anger is just one of the five stages of grief he'll go through. It seems so unfair that this had to happen to him. It's too bad Tom's family didn't offer to take him in, although I'm not sure his aunt and uncle would have let them. I'm anxiously awaiting chapter two. Great job, Dodger.
