Keeping busy was always the best way to quiet his mind. Sever the connection between professional and personal. Wasn’t that what he had always done? Have other members of this group used the hotel as well? If so, will the good doctor's name come up from a search of their phones?

For a child to act in the manner that Jack did towards his mother is not only telling, but a cry for someone to help him. That kind of anger in a fourteen-year-old boy is mind-blowing.
