At the end of the day, regardless of where immediate family is, there isn't a court in the land , despite any legal challenges of little to no regard, that won't place a survivor with immediate family. Especially one with means and a willingness to take a relation in. I suspect that this is a plot device and nothing else....

While my logic and reasoning part of my brain says he will, most of me thinks the two of them become a committed couple... When I returned to the bedroom, at first I couldn’t see Mike, but then I laughed when I spotted him sitting against the wall like a little boy. He looked so handsome I was overcome once again with my attraction to him. I wondered if I’d ever find another guy who would interest me as much as him.

Personally, I think it might be Simon from the last story.... And..I hate it when this happens to me being forced to work with an incompetent employee from the past... And five years ago it had been said that the great battle mage Kellen McAdams had lost his magic in an incident and had therefore been kicked out of the CID. I couldn't use someone like that here and now. I needed a mage. Not a temptation. -

I would have an additional line item... E-- What about the ship Uncle Fran trying to reverse engineer? A subset to Question A 1) Who was the traitor working for, can one assume they were working with the invasion fleet disguised as Pirates? To me, the main issue wasn't the fact there was a traitor, but those they were working for.....Which are noted in Line Item C. I keep coming back to this from the introduction to the story... Warnings of the coming war that you have been secretly told you'll need to stop. An invasion force masquerading as pirates. When, where, and who disseminated this info to Marc???

If I were them, I would be starting to bring fleets through early tomorrow morning. Just before we Jump in.” I allowed my lips to lift in a feral grin. “We have, after all, been holding to a schedule.” He laughed. “We have indeed Admiral. Do you really think they fell for it?” I gave him a waggle of my hand. “I think we’ll find out tomorrow morning.”
