The combined corporation is growing, and once again...Marc's homework/research pays dividends with Evelyn's pesky neighbors...one wonders just what is their story/motivations???? We still have an invasion fleet masquerading as pirates to deal with at some point in the near future, and just what is, who previously owned the ship taken from the blue ice in the wormhole and where is it from?????

Kind of reminds me of the old TV show/series Soap.... Soap is an American sitcom television series that originally ran on ABC from September 13, 1977, until April 20, 1981. The show was created as a nighttime parody of daytime soap operas, presented as a weekly half-hour prime time comedy. Similar to a soap opera, the show's story was presented in a serial format, and featured melodramatic plotlines including alien abduction, demonic possession, extramarital affairs, murder, kidnapping, unknown diseases, amnesia, cults, organized crime, a communist revolution, and teacher-student relationships. As with the comment above I found the following very interesting along with Mrs. Potter... Upfield hesitated, he looked quite young, certainly not yet thirty. “I don't know exactly,” he admitted. “Mr. Venn called me last week and asked if I could represent him. When I said yes, he said he would sort out all the necessary and important papers and get back to me. This training will be intended to help Richter better control his latent abilities... This chapter reminded me of Robert Frost's poem, "The Road Not Taken" of two roads that diverged in the woods, where Richter will take the one less traveled and his brother the other...will it make all the difference?

Very intriguing to say the least.... And what will he find in Syria that will come back to the following???? Someone had wanted her dead. But why? She’d been working on a translation project, something about historical archives, nothing that should have been dangerous. He’d dug, of course, using his connections, his skills. He’d found nothing concrete, just whispers, hints of something bigger, something that powerful people wanted to keep buried. He suspected a connection with his own work, a message sent in the most brutal way possible. A reminder that he was a tool, that his life, and the lives of those he cared about, were expendable.
