The Siege of Thistletop (Part One)
drsawzall commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in The Siege of Thistletop (Part One)
One hopes they won't have to cover their scent in goblin dung....ever.... -
The most important thing is communication and reassurance, to not let things be swept under the rug or fester..

The pain of loss may lessen over time, but it truly never goes away....

Jonah needs professional help with his feelings and suffering the guilt of self-assumed responsibility. It takes two to tango as it's been said and the blame is not all his... Victor....living proof that troglodytes and neanderthals haven't died out and gone extinct...

Thank you for this and a trip back into the mysteries of childhood and growing up!!

The scientific progress that they are making is stunning, it is bound to attract more attention as the irrefutable evidence rolls in. I'm not a fan of cruses, to me they are just a glorified hotel, when I am on vacation, I don't feel the need to be that close to everyone...

Not much to add to the reviews below other than to say, this is one of the best stories to grace the pages of this website in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed its engaging premise and the development of the protagonists as the plot hooks you. Read. This. Story!!!!

Another stupendous chapter and my trip to the ginormous warehouse store to pick up the mega package of Kleenex is paying off... Somewhere in all of this hope and promise of things to come, one hopes that Rebecca comes face to face with her own miserable self as she learns the world doesn't care, or give a fig for her and her self-indulgent, over-inflated opinion of herself. The best that could happen to her is to realize she's been left at the curb of public opinion like so much needless garbage.... I have to give credit where credit is due, and kudos to the Whites, both Travis and Jennifer for coming to grips with what their son and all the other boys need. I see some sort of future for the both of them with Liberty Academy. I'm reminded of the scripture regarding "The least of these'...How that family reunion evolved was heart wrenching to say the least... I worry about Elio and Em, while not 'lost' boys, they have a troubled past and different issues to work through, I foresee some minor difficulties integrating with their soon to be 'brothers'... Joel Mark got the long slow ending he deserved rather than a quick ending. Roland and Miles, while it may not be real to them just yet, have found a soon to be home. How will his ending affect the larger picture, what import will it have to the remainder of the 'Deck"??

I have a hunch that all eligible, possible suitors for the she-witch are steering clear of her...She is openly irresponsible and destructive. She'd be the ruination of any profitable farmstead...

Miss Brittany is a snake, an evil bitch, and trouble in spades... Frank is finding his sexuality and fixating on Dante... And a whole lotta of stuff to ponder on and has Tom learned any lessons???

An interesting series of jumps and quite the little surprise they found.... “Holy shit.” Someone said. “I see six hostiles.” I groaned. “I need Jump Gate activation NOW. Pass to NU. Run for the Gate.” I had everything this old girl could give, blowing out her ass end to move us forward, and we felt the vibrations through the deck plates as I drove us to the Jump Gate. I saw the gate spool up as I watched Nu Symphony’s aft shields light up with multiple hits from weapons fire as the Gate flared to life. And they jumped. We were right behind them. We dropped out the other side into normal space and I drove us away from the gate and brought us onto our new course.

Let's hope the trip on the gentleman's ship is smooth sailing!!!!

Things are in the process of taking off it would seem, out with the carpet and the ratty ceiling tiles, some cleaning and possibly painting and voila...new office space!! And a new word for my memory bank!!! Ralph nodded, “It can’t be worse than this smelly monstrosity.” “Bet the Estate Agents contact you with suggestions for titivating the place.” “You think?” “You bet”, she laughed. -
Exciting times directly ahead...still curious as to who the two lost friends were, and what was the nature of the argument between Marc and his sister????

If there is family, in this case immediate family, the state of North Carolina then has no interest in placing him in a foster home, tell 'em to go pound sand... This gives me hope... The sun has gone down a little more. With the waves crashing, I think for a moment, and not a moment longer, that this will be okay. I'm safe. I'm okay
