Growing Relationships, Home Ownership, and Court Looms
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Growing Relationships, Home Ownership, and Court Looms
Another roller coaster chapter and I suspect some new grandparents...I've come to love those folks... Monday morning, instead of heading to work after the kids left for school, he headed to the lawyer's office where the closing was occurring. He met the owners, thanked them repeatedly for the rent break they gave him and for cleaning the pool. He made sure he had taken some pictures of the kids to show them, since they apparently were so happy to be helping out children in need. They gushed over the children as if they were their own grandkids. Brendan said if they ever wanted to stop over and meet them, they were welcome. They traded phone numbers, he gave them the mail that hadn't been forwarded, and then they all signed a shitload of papers. Even though he already had keys, they gave him one more set they had discovered. Brendan was curious about their buyer’s requirements. "If you don't mind me asking, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan, why were you requesting a family with children in school, and who 'really needed it?'" Mr. Duncan replied, "We don't mind. We had a child die young and weren't able to have any others. To try to fill that hole in our hearts, we fostered children for nearly twenty-five years. It may be silly, but we wanted to make sure that whomever bought our home was at least somewhat like us." Just when you think we've see the depths of depravity from the genetic sponsors, another low/lows is/are reached...and I agree, no to hypnosis...what was in the bottle for worries me...I am upset with both Brendan and Skylar...both are smart enough to realize the trouble they are creating, it is past time for them to stop thinking with the little head behind the zipper, if they don't...there isn't anyone else to blame. Quite frankly they deserve whatever comes their way if they get caught, so much at stake here and they are patiently oblivious, losing the children because of gross stupidity would be unforgiveable...What is so f'ing difficult in reaching the adult decision if they are going forward with a relationship??? Well @Mancunian...the other voice in my head told me our tormentor would lose at least a chapter or two getting Brendan and Skylar out of trouble...after they are caught in public canooodling while watching the submarine races....- 55 comments

Mother at Norton Priory
drsawzall commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Mother at Norton Priory
Like others, I thought this was a lovely chapter and wonder what is up with Len and Greg... -
Marc's true value lies not in mining but in tactical development and advanced training, his skill sets demand it. It will be interesting to see how Marc handles a career with a higher calling should the fates push him in that direction. I would think that at some point he will realize mining will become a lucrative hobby. Then there is the future with the 'family' business, and he has cursed himself if he thinks he won't be pulled in.... The only way he becomes a full-time miner, is if he screws the pooch big time.....

Methinks you just might have hit a gold mine, it's an era of our history that so few write about, I was 18 in '72 as the war was closing down as it were and folks need to hear from someone who was more a part of those times....it would be greatly appreciated!!
