Lunch-boxes and packages
drsawzall commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Lunch-boxes and packages
Whatever I was going to comment on got lost once I read the following...now where did I put my Prevagen??? Therese upon second "examination" did not improve, if anything she is even more repellant. "Ever since the scans, when we found out it was twin girls, Therese was planning everything in detail. Her daughters would be the perfect little ladies." She needs an enema because she has clearly already had a lobotomy. -
Thanks, your comments are high praise from an author I greatly respect.

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you liked this story!!

In my mind I saw it as an unrequited love story in the sense Carver could never be seen or loved as he would have wanted, that most if not all, could not get past the 'public' Carver. Thanks, I have a mind if I can finish the notes and better organize them to do a bit more with this... Thanks, crafting dialogue is quite the chore for me, while my friends tell me I have the gift of gab, my dialogue, to me, always sounds wooden, I have to agree, I like Stewart's better myself. While I think Dylan is a preeminent song writer of his and my generation, whoever let him in front of a microphone, should have been disemboweled Thanks for your comment Bill, it is very much appreciated!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and as noted above I hope to flesh this out a bit more as time allows... Thanks, I value your comment, and I feel you found the gist of the story!!!! To me, with the exception of very few, no one ever took the time to see Carver... Loved this song choice, and excellent choice!!! Thanks Talo, I appreciate your thoughts and comment!! Thank you for your generous comment, it is very much appreciated!!! I truly appreciate your kind words, thank you!!!! Your comment is very much appreciated and my humblest thanks!!!

The tunneling and mining the reams of data are paying off, can't wait for the next chapter. This story is so well crafted and a delight to read. @Summerabbacat, you may enjoy this story as it is mentioning, even tho in passing the late, great Donna Summer... He finally found an area with a few bars, that ironically enough was not too far from his dad’s old neighborhood. Lukas didn’t drink much, and the bars seemed intimidating to him in any case. But he did find some dance clubs and tried one out on a Saturday night. He hadn’t yet even been to a club in the United States, but he had been to straight clubs and he was struck how similar it seemed, except that it was of course almost all guys dancing with each other. Even the music was pretty much the same, but maybe with more Donna Summer.

Pool Party and A Bit of Trouble
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Pool Party and A Bit of Trouble
Lanny, one hopes you've learned a valuable lesson, sad to say your mother's fossilized cranium precludes any chance of her further learning... Jack is turning out to be quite the good friend, and Andrew...humility and acceptance will take you farther than not... Skylar, you may have just found a cure for your telegraphing eyes, both you and U.B. need to be the shining example of discrete...- 49 comments

A Return to Normalcy, a Change, and Discussions
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Return to Normalcy, a Change, and Discussions
Oh dear lord in where ever the heck you are... What? You expected two calm chapters in a row? Pshaw!! -
Everything seems to be coming easy for Marc, I am curious to see how he will handle adversity...when nothing goes right....

Count Morrison appears to be a slimy individual with at least one foot and possibly mor stuck in the past and suffers from a bad case of occuflation...that is to say, self-indugence importance... Sir Trevor has a wonderful ring to it!!!

Once again late to the party!!! Can't add much other than to say thank goodness for a box of tissues within reach...hey...I had to dab my eyes and that's my story and I am sticking with it... Boy did the following bring back sooo many great memories...just sayin.... “Just remember, this was your idea,” he said as he knelt facing me. I pulled my knees up next to my ears to give him better access. I remember almost shitting my pants at that point. Not literally, because I’d cleaned up thoroughly after the basketball game (don’t ask why), and well, I wasn’t wearing any pants.

Chapter 37: “Use absence to increase strength and honor”

I suspect there is at least one or more snakes in the grass, and further trouble from the Russian quarter.... -
Depositions, and a Problem Appears
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Depositions, and a Problem Appears
Talk about a chapter rife with innuendos and speculation....not sure I can add anything other than to say, we need another chapter or 3 freaking pronto..... @Mancunian just may have hit the proverbial nail on the head with this pregnant pithy comment... -
Well now...quite the revealing chapter to say the least...looking forward to the show and what might Francis Heyward's motivation for 'private curator' tours???

Marc is full of surprises and talents. It is a shame that others can't see what his hard work has accomplished!

Such an accurate portrayal of what life was truly like and the failure of politicians to do their jobs. There is an article in the September '23 issue of BBC History Magazine called Did they Really Have To Fight To The Finish by Holger Afflerbach detailing the failure of common sense and diplomacy during the Great War and the rebuffing of peace overtures nearly from the beginning of the start of that war. At one point, nearly 11,000 men were dying every day. By the time the war reached its conclusion, an entire generation of young men in France were decimated. The failure on both sides lead to the inevitable rise of Hitler and one has to wonder today if we aren't seeing some of the same intransigence today...on many levels, worldwide.... The article can be found here: Did they really have to fight to the finish? | HOLGER AFFLERBACH - DiscountMags.com

How does one ever heal from an experience such as Matt's? The brilliance of this story is that often one does not, at least with many sessions with a qualified professional. The type of abuse Matt suffered from deeply wounds the psyche and we have to give Andy credit for backing off and not cutting ties, to continue towards a developing friendship first. That Matt was able to hug Andy shows a desire to work towards healing, and I temper my comments that as with anything worth having, patience and time work wonders. Late to the party and looking forward to the next and somewhat sad that this incredible, well written story comes to its conclusion!

Of course faceless escaped, probably masquerading as Jolanda for all we know setting the stage for even more cliffhangers....

I'm not sold on Greg, while his story may be real, there is room for subterfuge.... -

@weinerdog, were you just called/labeled a "granny fanny"....don't let @Summerabbacat know, or it may impact your dating profile.... -
So glad to see this story and what it portends for future stories arrive, and if the first chapter is anything to go on, we are in for an enjoyable ride with all of the attendant ups and downs... While I have used this line before, it more than applies here..." Therese is like a river, a mile wide and an inch deep....Sounds like she is the perfect, "C you next Tuesday" girl".... Ralph, your prison is all in your mind and I look forward to the confluence of events that help you realize that... The twins are adorable, wonder what part the perceptive little tykes will play in helping/leading Ralph out of his internal prison... Bring on the next chapter!!!!!
