The most difficult part in dealing with any issue like this is to admit your feelings...

Not sure Wilhelm can be trusted, was it him who ate the cake Alex baked?
-
In the case of both Alex and Ed, denial ain't a river in Egypt...to me it is more like the late stages of winter/early spring when the thaw begins, I'm reminded of when I first experienced what is commonly called 'Ice out'. It is when the forces of nature cause the ice to buckle and the river awakens from its dormant sleep, and begins to run again...

Well...the cat's out of the bag for both Alex and Ed as far as friends are concerned...
-
Well...there's a surprise...and a baked cake too...

Chapter 9- Maybe Tomorrow
drsawzall commented on Thirdly's story chapter in Chapter 9- Maybe Tomorrow
They both know, it is how they will deal with it.... -
We find out that Dad is a POS of the worst sort, is/was Alex's mother trying not to stain Alex's father's memory for the sake of Alex??? Will we see fireworks ,shortly? His gaze unintentionally wandered back up to the boy's pale chest. He needs some more meat on those bones. Ed thought and made a mental note to buy some more food so when the boy would come over he would have something to stuff down his throat.

Something pretty obvious, d won't be going home alone...

Well the following adds another dimension... "Is it really just friendship that you want?"

Ice has been broken, looking forward to seeing a further thawing...

Will it be witchever or whichever way they will pose the questions that give them the clues they need to solve the problem that is Lane... I find the following intriguing, why was the sheriff shot and not the bank manager, it couldn't be something so simple as the gun only had one bullet... Hawkins shrugged. "Don't know. The sheriff was shot in the back, right through the heart. The doc said he died instantly, and never knew what hit him. Folks figured the two bandits had a third partner, posted outside as a watch. Fella got the drop on Sheriff Tallfield and shot him. Smacked Fred Evans pretty good in the back of the head and laid him out, too. When he woke, he couldn't remember a thing." Time to do some sleuthing...

At last we understand what drives Jase and can only hope that in the end, he finds Helen and Christian again... One other note, I am very glad to see that there are many more chapters, this is a very well written and entertaining story. You have marked it as being "Complete", where it should be marked as "In Process". You would mark it "Complete" when you post the last chapter. It could be confusing to other readers, thinking the story is done... Again, I'm hooked and looking to more!!!! Thanks!!

Can't agree more...time to get these and other tales on the road!!!

Why do I think in the larger scheme of things the following may be of note... "You think Tallfield isn't human?" Adrian asked. "No, I didn't say that. I'm just referring to the sort of power Tallfield seems to wield. And the malevolence he wields it with. It seems somehow unnatural in a human being." "He's not exactly human anymore," Ragal pointed out. "He's passed. In the lower layer, abilities a person had while alive sometimes become...changed. Sometimes they become more powerful. Sometimes, they just become different. Tallfield is no longer exactly the same man he was when he was living."

Groan, one can only hope it's a passing feeling...like gas...

Chapter 4 - Agrell, Part Two
drsawzall commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 4 - Agrell, Part Two
I agree, not knowing what's next, I would have taken the hatchet, but...I've a feeling she may not need it with her enhancements... -
Finally...someone comes along and explains the real truth about english coinage, history, and all the things you never thought of...bare with the author, or is it bear...as he sales thru, or is it sails thru centuries of english currency... An excellent treatise the world has been waiting for, it is fervently hoped the author will do the same for syntax as understood in the english speaking world...

Well now...what are we in for exactly...

This story, as well written as it is, has legs...I hope to we have a chance to see more...

Think you paid attention in History Class...think again on the things you missed while drooling on your open history book as you napped... Late in 1970, newly relaxed sexual mores led to the issuance of the Poofter, the first openly gay currency -- a three-pound note intended to showcase young Britain’s liberation from repressive social strictures. But it proved more liberated than the British public. Many people refused to pay or be paid in Poofters lest the currency should fall into the wrong hands and corrupt British youth. That ship had sailed years before, but nothing can dissuade a deluded parent.

The History of British Currency - A Brief Introduction
drsawzall commented on Refugium's story chapter in The History of British Currency - A Brief Introduction
Simply amazing, history told as you can understand it!!! Please mark as complete!!! In addition, there was the sovereign, a one-pound gold coin so highly prized that no one wanted to spend it, preferring simply to admire it. Sovereigns spent most of their time in bank vaults, huddling together for warmth, before being sent to the United States to pay trade deficits and Edward VII’s hotel bills. There the Americans showed their reverence for the British monarchy by bowing and curtseying to the coins before melting them down for dental work. -
Tyler needs to stop watching what passes for teenage entertainment on all the channels, streams, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Pornhub, and Hamster...Life isn't like that.... Or lock him in a chastity belt for guys...
