Weekly Update Weekly Wrap Up (Oct 9 - Oct 15)
Northern Dutch Guy commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Comicality posted a topic this week I find disturbing. "Are you done with me". The start of that topic and his later reaction was worth a story ... I think. So... I would suggest a prompt. You are an author on gayauthors. And you feel you are bad treated by some of your readers. How would you react ? -
Are You Done With Me...? :(
Northern Dutch Guy replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
Hi Comsie, if you'll allow me to call you so, like some others do. I think both your original post at the start of this topic and your later reaction perfectly make sense. You share your stories here for free. That should be reason enough to be nice, respectfull and stimulating in comments towards you. I know I'm often one of the silent readers here and I only seldom log in. I realise that because of that I seldom leave comments, say 'thank you' or post 'likes' often. I'll try to do my best to change that. Thanks for posting this topic here. And NO I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU ! So Please keep writing. -

Leopards Leap. Read Ch 26 and Epilogue today. Thank you. Beautifull series of stories and nice wrap up. Seeing some of the main characters fly out I can see this is the end of this series and I can only hope to find some spin off's later i.e. about the gay radio station or... some of the main characters in their new situation. ---- Good to hear You start a new story. -

Ahh... as you already posted one chapter last weekend I guess we will find the end of this beautifull series this weekend. Look forward to it but I know I will miss this story as it used to be my early Saturday morning coffee time book... Really loved the story sequel. Brought often a smile to my face. As I played sports lots of years (soccer in my case) and was a trainer lots of years as well, in my opinion you wrote this sequel very wel from the points of view of both players and trainers. For players there is lots of tension if they get chosen for the higher level, or if they will have playing time to demonstrate their capabillities... And yes being gay brings another tension as well. For trainers they have to have that fine tune for the feelings of players to each of them individually to get them out of their fears and let them play for the good of the team ... But also make each of them improve their capabillities/qualities. In my opinion you did well in this sequel with that from players and coaches POV. Graeme again loved this sequel, well done and I look forward to the last chapters. -

Northern Dutch Guy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Read it some time ago, and after seeing it here again started reading. Love the humour and banter between Roy and his gay friend in Ch. 3 and his interactions with his mom in ch. 2 Well thats how far I came this morning. For those who have not read it yet, just start reading. It will bring a smile on your face ! -

Loved every chapter of this story and the happy ending for Jared and Craig. Good develloped characters. Even that evil manipulative twin sister character. For without her there would not be this fine story. -

Hi Graeme About Ch 17. For some moments I thought I had missed a few chapters or you had posted by error a later chapter ! Think some other readers have that same feeling. I guess the selection of a female headcoach would have stirred up a lot of noise and would have attracted a lot of attention and comments. Would have liked reading about that here. I agree with Impunity about that. But reading your replies here means we just have to make that leap with you. Does not mean I disliked the chapter. Great as usually in this story. -

An Update On My Life....
Northern Dutch Guy replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Hi Mark, thanks for this update. You got dealt with a bad hand recently. And unfortunately, negative aspects of real life can be somtimes so strong that it drains you of all energy. Yeah and can hit even more hard when it affects your libido. For most guys that will leed to feeling worse. Yep you probably need time to work these things through. Maybe get your Testosteron leavels up somehow ! Or checked. Just remember that song. 'Always look at the bright side of life'. Again thanks for the update and I hope one day te read new stories from you here. Love, hugs Andy G -

Nice offer and I gues lots of readers would offer that as well. I fear he needs a bit more professional help and I can only hope he has some people in his private life to help him or help him go there. Probably like a lot of people we miss his stories here like we miss Dom Luka.

I think lots of readers here miss Mark. I can only hope he has some people to turn to who help him back to being himself again. Or find professional help. His stories were always a treat and a reason to be back here 3 or 4 times a week. -

CSR Book Club C S R Discussion Day: The Window Washer By Zenith
Northern Dutch Guy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
My use of 'battlefield' was not about using violence. Love is (often/sometimes) a struggle. Not the love it self but how to grow further. Both partners need to work out how to function together. That proces can be a battlefield. Not because of physical hurts but stupid wrong words or wrong body language (like cats and dogs) it can lead to stupid fights. Just because of a few misinterpretid, not well chosen words. That is the battle field. The stupid fights because you do not yet know all about your partner. Still have to understand your partner. I was there done this felt that... the hurt is like you left a medieval battlefield. It hurts everywhere. I do not know if everyone has to go through that proces. Again that is my interpretation of ´love is a battlefield`. I did, we did and -

Mikiesboy, unfortunately you knew pain when you were a child. That was not what I wanted to say. My use of 'battlefield' was not about using violence. Love is (often/sometimes) a struggle. Not the love it self but how to grow further. Both partners need to work out how to function together. That proces can be a battlefield. Not because of physical hurts but stupid wrong words or wrong body language (like cats and dogs) it can lead to fights. And the hurt is like you left a medieval battlefield. It hurts everywhere. The hurt is mentally but feels physical as well. I and my partner we are together since over 25 years. We have found our way to prevent real battles. Like you do with your partner to prevent or to make sure you don´t go there. We started talking about fights early before we had any ! We agreed that anyone of us using the words ´always´ and ´never´ in a fight had lost the fight ! Until today it works ! We both start laughing when one of us uses that in an argument. -

Northern Dutch Guy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
OMG no You must have misunderstood me. Or my English is... not straight enough, LOL. There is no family issue here. I meant to say we all had this boy/girl meets boy and lost boy issue. We have no family issue ! But we all know and can talk about this lost love and found love again in good terms and laughs. And the battlefield is not that we fight but we know how to keep the truce/peace working good for both of us. We love each other deeply. And we know the hurt when we lost each other during an earlier break up. As does my sister with her guy and her kids with their guys. Again the boy/girl meets boy and looses him and finds him again runs in my family. AndyG -
CSR Book Club C S R Discussion Day: The Window Washer By Zenith
Northern Dutch Guy commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Love is a battlefield. When you start you have to learn so much about each other and about handling differences. And the break up is usually because the partners have not yet found a way to handle those or handle a fight. Long term relationships can only be long term if both can handle differences, misunderstandings, kept secrets, (small) lies, and fights. And... whatever you can think about. So the concept 'boy/girl meets boy, boy/girl looses boy' It is happening in real life as well. It runs in my family ! My sister, her two kids and I. Not all with misunderstanding and slamming doors. But all with broken hearths. Love is a battlefield. But all of us are married since many years with the lost partner. The break up, we all know we never want to go back there again ! It hurts. It hurts too much. But love also is not a won war. You have to work both to stay on the good side. Mikiesboy. For stories as a writer yes you have to be creative like start with a falling Window Washer. Also in fights... reasonal thoughts are often not there. Most people turn completely blind. Are completely blinded with rage. The accusations like 'you always' and 'you never' and say things and feel things and see things completely one way. And feel like a fool afterwards. Remember part of the harsh words. Do'nt see the whole picture. Love is a battlefield. It can be the best. If not .. It hurts. -

Loved the story and the interview. Hmm, for someone who has no editor there are only a few 'typos' left in your stories. So you did quite well I think. . Thanks for this story and the other stories you posted recently. Read them all after The Window Washer. -
Graeme Leopards Leap
Northern Dutch Guy replied to Graeme's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Hi Graeme Just read the last (14th) chapter of Leopards leap. Love the story line and... hmm recently read all from 1st chapter of book 1 till now. ! You do a good job writing about the insides of professional or semi professional clubs. I know in Europe things are very different about transfers and being scouted. But the professionalism and the training and the preparing for games are a very good description on how things can/do go inside a (semi) professional club. We both (hmm my partner and I) love the story Love, hugs and kisses, Andy G
