  1. Not seen that one either.
  2. It's Drew and his pony.
  3. Oh Marty what lovely children. The grin on the lad second from the left ... let me clarify, that would be the penultimate left position ... has a grin that suggests he might be a right corker just like his Great Uncle Martin. I've no recollection of watching The Muppet Christma Carol either. Suppose I best wait another ten years or so. Glad you had such a wonderful time.
  4. Slacker! Kids today have got no gumption. In my day we would've ate at least a dozen before the first belch.
  5. G'day y'all on this cold Second Christmas (an Amish tradtion) or Boxing Day or St. Stephen's Day or the day of recovery from over indulgence. It is currently 26/-3° here in our part of coastal SC but the wind is making it feel colder. While it may not have been the Christmas of your dreams I hope you all found some peace and joy in the day. Blessed be y'all 'cause Christmas has just begun it ain't over until Epiphany on January 6th.
  6. I'm relaxing with a mug of Irish coffee.
  7. But, but those books are in French.
  8. At least you've finally got someone with a bit of decency to act as your surrogate.
  9. We're having a bright but chilly and blustery Christmas. It was as cold as 34/1° but with the wind feels much colder. Cold enough to snow. Fortunately all the heavy rain happened yesterday. Saddly, the sudden change in weather is playing havoc with my head. Still, we had our brekkie frittata and opened prezzies. Now we're relaxing and reading before going next door for a late holiday lunch.
  10. I think that's @Drew Espinosa wearing his halo and looking innocent.
  11. Heartfelt thanks from all of us.
  12. I was first struck by the sepia tone quickly followed by the narrow focus on the beetroot. The detail from the fine roothairs to the texture of the soil is phenomenal. Well done lad.
  13. Merry Christmas to One and All ... may you find a bit of peace and joy in this day.
  14. Happy Birthday little brother much love from Mum and I.
  15. Merry Christmas One and All! May you find a bit of peace and joy in this day. Blessed be my Brothers and Sisters.

    Jenny and Greg

This one is bittersweet. Thanks to both of you for maintaining this Christmas collaboration tradition.
  17. Him again? Can't you find someone of import to support your argument?
  18. Are you gonna pass him around him around the table on a platter?
  19. Val, my dear, dear sister, you've got a thing for guys ...
  20. Hmmm, I can't seem to remember anything outstanding that year other than it was my son's freshman year of HS. Was there a blizzard or other natural calamity?
  21. Mum and I were planning to attend Christmas Eve Service but we're both very tired and the weather has turned nasty. Instead, we'll stay home and enjoy a quiet evening. I'm making crabcakes, roasted sweet potatoes and asparagus for dinner. Later I'll find a Service of Scripture and Carols from one of the universities in the UK. I have a batch of Chex mix in the oven to provide snackies over the holiday. Tomorrow morning I'll make our traditional frittata for brekkie. Later in the day we'll go next door for a cold buffet. I envy you the tamales. The kilt shop has a friend who makes homemade tamales for us one weekend each season. They're wonderful.
  22. Hunk deserves the win. I think it's what most all of the contestants believe. Yet, Keith won too. He accomplished his purpose in joining the competition plus he found a family. A bit sad to see this story end as I adore this version of Keith and Shiro and the galaxy of characters that surround them, even Sanda serves a believable and despisable foil. Kudos.
  23. MERRY CHRISTMAS B!

    Chapter 6

I'm happy for them but feel a bit sad for Adrian but then he knew he would never completely hold Peter's heart. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
  25. I think it doesn't matter any longer what Sanda wants she isn't going to get it from the other judges ... she tossed them under the bus, they're done with her. I'd say more but ... well just one more thing. She bemoans that as a "Cordon Bleu chef" she deserves better from her career yet she's the one who signed the contract with the new network to judge a baking show. I'm not saying serving as a judge on a baking show is not a worthy pursuit but I think she is more interested in "celebrity" and self-importance than her professional career. I also think her training makes her hidebound, stuck on rules, on who can excel. I wonder if she is intimidated by Keith. He being an untrained upstart accomplishing what she can't even envision. Sooo, I said a few more things but her attitude rubs against the grain. Excellent chapter.
