I like it. It does have a bit of Halloween feel ... a what dwells behind the unopened door. Hmmm, imagine the potential that question poses for the authors on GA.
Since the passage of the cold front overnight it's cooling down here. At 5am it was 71/22° an hour and a half later it is down to a breezy 64/18° with a brightly lit early morning sky.
There are many unplanned events in life ... take for instance the one where you injured your toe ... or most of the assimilations into your herd, few of those were preplanned.
It should pass by to the north and west of us, though it is ushering in some warm tropical air. The low overnight temp was 75/24°. A cold front is due early tomorrow morning bringing cooler drier autumnal weather.
Well that went well ... we at least know who went rogue and it's not difficult to know why. The blame I think lands solidly at Fergus's feet. His leadership style and "games" drove his beta to a bad place.
A secret remains a secret only as long as it is shared by two. Jimmy is no longer a secret.
Fergus has no idea what he's playing at by holding out on Jimmy. I think the only thing keeping him safe is Jimmy's need for pack. That is the only reason Jimmy backed down. Trouncing Fergus by the side of the road doesn't win Jimmy a place. He needs to challenge him in front of the Pack. It will come to that once Fergus comes to learn of Sawyer and threatens him. Mate means more to Jimmy's wolf than Fergus does.
This story reminds me of the Saturday afternoon westerns I used to watch as a kid. It's very reminiscent of the dime novels written for boys of that time. I suspect those were an inspiration. You do them proud bro. Hmmm, with the gay undertone maybe there is a little PRIDE.
G'day y'all. Expecting the dawning of another pleasant day. The weather here has been warm and muggy but a front came through and yesterday broke cooler but foggy. Once the fog cleared late morning it was a very nice day. Took advantage to complete the clean up of mum's flower beds. A small area remains but I want to wait untils the annuals planted there die off. When I pull those I'll also dig out the roots of the weeds that grew up among them.
Hope all are well. Blessed be.
I think they're only clearing one tire track. There is another crew out of sight working on the other. When their done they'll pack and level the pile in the center to create a path for the dogsled.
We got down to 72° overnight but a cold front is working through so we're only going to get up to the mid-70's. The ac is set at 75° and just kicked on.
