Yeah I'm hoping for new tires ... on my replacement car. Just glad I hadn't spent the money for new ones in November. The dealer back home suggested it was getting close to time to replace them. I chose to wait because I thought it was too soon.
The Claims Service rep said it was a silly question but she had to ask me if I had any interest in keeping my car. Just waiting to hear how much I'll get for it before I begin shopping.
I so wish I could get my hands on good Cuban food. It just isn't part of PA Dutch cuisine or Lowcountry SC.
Separate beds, separate rooms these two are getting to know one another and becoming friends before all else.
G'day y'all. It's warm here, 55/12° and overcast. That's about right for the average high temp this time of year.
I'm due to travel on the train to Philly on Monday for an appt with my doc on Tuesday morning. I'll catch a train back to SC on Wednesday morning.
We're doing okay, thanks. Thistle is his usual self. Mum's cut is healing. My bruises are such lovely colors but the actual pain has for the most part eased into a sort of stiffness. I do still have pain in the shoulder joint depending on how I move but I have have full motion.
It was bright and sunny for most of the day. Currently 58/14° with clouds moving in. The extended forecast is daytime temps 15-20° above average and nighttime low temps 25° above normal.
I am, thanks. Today I didn't take anything for pain. It was rough but the meds were really causing problems in my stomach so it was necessary and I survived. The bruising is starting to come to the surface, such pretty colors too.
Other than being very tired and a bit stressed mum is okay. Thistle is just glad to be back at his Nan's after a rather hectic week. Me, I ache. The ribs are sore and make bending and getting up and down from both sitting and laying an exercise. The shoulder though is the problem. If I keep it stable it's not too bad but try to raise my arm or move it laterally and it hurts. Aleve helped during the night last night and during the day today but at a cost. It aggravates my stomach and is hard on my kidneys. Add minor dehydration from travelling and I need to take a break from the nsaids. Tonight I took one of the muscle relaxants the er doc prescribed hoping it we will help me sleep.
Yeah, we were very fortunate. The car sacrificed itself to protect us.
The firemen were wonderful. Mum gave the one who ran her around a big hug before he left us. I'm going try and find them so I can send them a thank you.
I made a really good shrimp pizza last winter. Basically lightly cooked shrimp in a scampi type sauce spread over fresh pizza dough with italian cheese blend scattered over top. Baked it in a hot castiron skillet at 450° until the crust was baked and the cheese was bubbly. About 10 minutes.
