Thanks Valkyrie. They were very cute and fun to write about.

    Our House

Our House It was a beautiful fall morning, crisp and colorful, but still warm enough for me to drive home with the windows down, which I did. I smiled as I pulled into the driveway of our house. I supposed it was silly that I still got a little tingle when I saw it, we had moved in together over the summer, but I still savored the way it felt in my mind. Our house. I noticed that there were several new items on the porch, faintly illuminated by the porch light that Basil always made

Basil goes a little...overboard with Halloween enthusiasm. For Cia's Extreme Halloween challenge.
  4. Sounds cool!
  5. Yeah, Steve. I sleep nekkid. Someone is going to be scared, but it's not going to be me.

    Rule #3

Thank you Parker, I'm glad you like it and thanks for commenting. 3- way relationships don't work for everybody, but everyone is different and these guys found a way to make it work!
  7. Thanks for keeping AAA going @Carlos Hazday and @Renee Stevens! (Thoughtful is probably the nicest thing anyone has said about my opinions).
  8. Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't see prologues much outside of fantasy and sci-fi books.
  9. If it is a good prologue, I'll read it. My favorite series has a prologue that introduces the villains on a quest that the protagonists will later join in on, and that is fine. If it something like "these are my characters!" type thing, or if it has a bunch of information that really should be included in the body of the story, then I'm a bit iffy on reading further. So it is not a prologue itself that I take an issue with, it's how well (or not well) they are written. In my opinion, if someone is going to include a prologue, it should meaningful to the story and well written, because that is the first thing the reader is going to read.
  10. A very thought-provoking article.
  11. As someone who has had their work plagiarized, I appreciate the vigilance of those who work on the site. Whenever I see an article like this pop up, it reminds me to go to Google and check on my stuff.
  12. Usually I will, if it's short. If it's not very good or engaging, I probably won't read the rest.
  13. The problem with that is the readers already know how the story ends. One of the big mistakes that many Star Wars fans site for the release of "Solo" in theaters dealt with that exact concept. No matter how dangerous the mission, or how risky the mission...nothing is going to happen to Han Solo or Chewbacca, because they obviously show up in later chapters. This Star Wars fan is also going to cite the shoddy advertising, the weird ass release date and fans still hacked off about The Last Jedi for what happened with Solo which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. On the subject of Star Wars, I think The Empire Strikes back is an example of a kick ass sequel while the prequels are probably not.
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

    Ride The Lightning

Thank you for commenting. I'm glad you liked the unexpected ending, it was a lot of fun to write!
  16. Yes. I had insomnia prior to a big Kinesiology exam that I probably should have studied a little bit more for. I bombed it hard and it fucked up my grade in the class, but I still managed to pass.
  17. When I went back to school for my PTA degree, I had to take a public speaking course as well.
  18. I wish I was more of a poetry person to give you a really awesome comment, but I am not, so I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this and how beautiful it is. I especially like the description of the moons reflection and the tomatoes.
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
  20. Ah, plotting, My greatest weakness. I'll have to check these out. Thanks!

    Chapter Three

I'm willing to hold judgement on the good Pastor until we know more, but if he thinks that convincing Ben to be the photographer at the wedding of a man who suspects him of killing his brother would do him good, than he is either an idiot or the most naive human being on the face of the planet. Just my two cents, but I'm looking forward to reading more.
