I think Eric is over Brian, and Brian is getting there, but I do think family gatherings might be tricky at first. Lucky for him that he has Timothy to distract him. Thank you for commenting! (and Timothy is totally a sweetheart)!

    Chapter 1

One of my coworkers said she wanted that song for her father/daughter dance at her wedding. I told her exactly what the song was about and she was angry at me for days for "ruining" the song for her.

I assume you are talking about Brian feeling guilty. I don't think he is an idiot. Cheating is never acceptable, but Brian played a part in the relationship breakdown as well. I would feel guilty if my partner needed more love and attention from me and I was too engrossed in my own life/career to give it to them. None of it excuses cheating, but no one is blameless here. Thanks for commenting!

Interesting comments. Eric needed to end their relationship once he was ready to move on and Brian needed to pay more attention to what Eric needed. Mistakes were made by both of them and communication between the two of them was horrible...something that my editor pointed out. I think Brian and Timothy deserve a chance as well, as long as Brian can fix what went wrong in his last relationship. I think he is well on his way. Thank you for commenting!

Thank you. Eric was in a bad place and he made a poor choice, but Brian was being blind to the issues in their relationship too. It was sad that this had to be wake up call for both of them. I think Eric made some really bad choices, but he's not a totally bad guy. I think he was already over Brian by the time they finally broke up, and giving him a head's up about how to he needed to shape up for Timothy was pretty mature of him in my opinion. (I love Timothy too, he's adorable). Thanks for the comments.

    Chapter 1

Damn, I was not expecting this. I remember these guys from your previous stories. While Cyril's decision to go back is heart-breaking, it is unfortunately very common. I heard somewhere that it takes an abused partner seven times before they can leave an abusive relationship for good. Stuart was also very relatable here. It can be extremely frustrating to deal with a friend/loved one who is in an abusive relationship, especially when they are not willing to leave or seek help. I could tell that Stuart really wanted to help his friend, but wasn't sure how to do so. Well done.

Thank you for your insightful comments! I felt from the very beginning, even though what Eric did was reprehensible, he at least deserved to tell his side of the story. Cheating is horrible, but several readers pointed out that it takes two people to ruin a relationship and I think while what Eric did was wrong, it was also very understandable. Eric had a need for affection and attention that he wasn't getting from his fiancé and picked a very poor way of dealing with it. But on the other hand, Brian needed to clue in to what was happening and he ignored Eric trying to tell him what he needed. I'm glad you liked the story, and thank you for commenting!

Thank you. I liked being able to show both sides of the breakup and that Brian was able to grow from that. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't think Eric is a bad person. While cheating is usually a relationship killer, I agree that there is usually a reason behind it, and both men have to take the blame here. I'm glad you like the confrontation scene, it was an interesting one to write. Timothy is adorable, and I'm glad Brian had to guts to go after him after everything that happened. Thank you so much for commenting.
  10. Another great article. (Although if anyone ever compared my skin to wet clay, I think I would be offended).

    The Story

Wow. That was pretty intense. Very strong emotions. I like the story between Liam and Rob and how much Liam changed as a result. It hurt to see how strained and unhappy his marriage was and it seems like he is in a much better place now. Can’t help worrying about the Polish guy…I hope got away and is somewhere safe. Very well done story, it packs a powerful punch.
  12. Wow, this was really cool and interesting!

I'm glad you liked it. The confrontation scene was interesting to write. Brian needed a serious wake up call and Eric was more than happy to give it to him, especially considering how protective he was with his brother. I hopeful for all of the guys, I think they can all move forward from here to happier futures (Eric too). Thank you for commenting.

Thank you. What Eric did was very wrong, but he wasn't the only one. Like you said, it takes two to wreck a relationship, they both made big mistakes. I think Timothy is hot and sweet too. But I think after talking to Eric, Brian is able to see what he did wrong and fix things to be better for Timothy, who deserves it. I'm glad you liked it and thanks for commenting.

Interesting. I think both guys made some serious mistakes and unfortunately it cost them their relationship. I think Brian can make the changes he needs for Timothy and I hope Eric ends up with a wonderful guy as well. Thanks for commenting!

An interesting piece and very thought-provoking. I am glad that Jason found a welcoming community. Based on Jason's story is sounds like being asexual can be very confusing and isolating.

Thank you so much. I think Eric and Brian's relationship was doomed the minute that Eric went astray, but it helped Brian build a healthier relationship with Timothy. I'm so happy you enjoyed it, I loved writing these guys.

Sounds like you and Brian have similar preferences! I'm cautious with alcohol but it was so much fun to write a drunk Timothy, I couldn't resist. Thank you for commenting!

TOUCH When the doorbell rang, Brian looked up from his work, heart beating too fast. He got up, joints creaking and popping, and hurried to pull open the front door. The slight hope that had been warming his chest crumpled and died when he saw the familiar redhead standing on the front porch. "Hey," Timothy said. He looked awkward and uncomfortable, holding a bag in one hand from a nearby wing restaurant. "Hey," Brian greeted in return. His lips felt cold and numb as he forced the
  25. Brian is having trouble trusting people after his ex fiancé broke his heart. Timothy is determined to change that. It would be easier if Timothy wasn’t so good looking. Or so affectionate. Or his ex-fiance’s younger brother.
