  1. As someone who has had their work plagiarized, I appreciate the vigilance of those who work on the site. Whenever I see an article like this pop up, it reminds me to go to Google and check on my stuff.
  2. I'm sorry if my question was confusing, but you answered it perfectly. Thank you.
  3. If I have a series of stories that start in this world, than move to another, can I use this feature? Also, if it is a series, and not a lot of different stand alones would that still be appropriate?
  4. Interesting replies. I don't see villains and antagonists as the same thing, though sometimes they are. I have written very few villains and the ones that I have written have been irredeemably evil, because that is the only way I can write them, it helps to keep a distance. I would love to write something that has a more complex villian and be able to write from their POV but I don't know if I can. It's one of my weak points.
  5. Usually I will, if it's short. If it's not very good or engaging, I probably won't read the rest.
  6. The problem with that is the readers already know how the story ends. One of the big mistakes that many Star Wars fans site for the release of "Solo" in theaters dealt with that exact concept. No matter how dangerous the mission, or how risky the mission...nothing is going to happen to Han Solo or Chewbacca, because they obviously show up in later chapters. This Star Wars fan is also going to cite the shoddy advertising, the weird ass release date and fans still hacked off about The Last Jedi for what happened with Solo which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. On the subject of Star Wars, I think The Empire Strikes back is an example of a kick ass sequel while the prequels are probably not.

Thank you for commenting. I'm glad you liked the unexpected ending, it was a lot of fun to write!
  9. Yes. I had insomnia prior to a big Kinesiology exam that I probably should have studied a little bit more for. I bombed it hard and it fucked up my grade in the class, but I still managed to pass.
  10. *Remembers this is a thing and starts to panic*
  11. When I went back to school for my PTA degree, I had to take a public speaking course as well.
  12. I wish I was more of a poetry person to give you a really awesome comment, but I am not, so I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this and how beautiful it is. I especially like the description of the moons reflection and the tomatoes.
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
  14. Ah, plotting, My greatest weakness. I'll have to check these out. Thanks!

    Chapter Four

    Well...that escalated quickly.
  18. 24. True. Vampires have a thing about counting.

    Chapter Three

I'm willing to hold judgement on the good Pastor until we know more, but if he thinks that convincing Ben to be the photographer at the wedding of a man who suspects him of killing his brother would do him good, than he is either an idiot or the most naive human being on the face of the planet. Just my two cents, but I'm looking forward to reading more.

    Chapter Three

I don't trust Pastor Daniel. It sounds like he is trying to set Benjamin up for something bad and using Cash to do so. I hope I'm wrong.

    Chapter Two

Exactly. He's not impartial if he is letting his close connection with Pastor Daniel influence him.

    Chapter Two

Still loving this. I'm not crazy about Officer Monroe right now. He thinks he is a good cop, but he sure as hell isn't an impartial one. Ben said it really well: I'd be grumpy too.

    Chapter One

The title caught my eye because my sister recently moved to West Virginia. It's a beautiful state.
