Can't help myself. Anubis and a corgi go together. Lol
-
Corgis are such a sweet breed. Seems like the perfect first chapter of McBatten and Highland. So when can we expect more? oh and I think the robe was doing its job.

Another week has come and gone. Mother nature is confused, giving blistering heat and snow to opposite coasts. I won't even mention the other strange happenings. This year is moving on like a fevered Stephen King nightmare. To get your focus to something new, I proudly present your prompts. Prompt 840 - Creative Tag - List of words Use the following in a story - a lunar eclipse, a flat tire. a statue of Zeus, a bonfire, and a puppy. Prompt 841 - Creative Tag - Anubis Growing up you liked to dress and act emo. At 18 you had an ankh tattooed on your hand. One night after a party you were attacked, only to be saved by a stunning man with enormous power and a jackal pendent around his neck. "You should be more careful," his deep voice captures your attention as he grips your hand and your tattoo suddenly glows. He smiles. "Don't worry, not time to judge you yet." Unsure what he means, you allow him to walk you home. He tells you his name is Anubis and his dark eyes glow. What happens next? Do you find either prompt interesting? Might we have a new story from you? Here is hoping. 'Til next time. Remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

Yeah, like I could cut to one. I have a backlog of reading and could name a dozen more. Lol. Was a fun question.

May day! May Day! Well it is the first of May. At least we are all still going. Speaking of going, time for some new prompts. Prompt 838 - Creative Tag - First Line "Where the hell do you think you are going?" Prompt 839 - Creative Tag - Lusty May Work has kept you busy and now that May has arrived you finally have vacation time. Deciding to go away and travel far from home. You barely check in when you find yourself the object of desire for two completely different men. Will you be with one or the other? None at all or both? What happens to you in the lusty month of May? So there are the new prompts. Do either appeal to you? If so share with us in the prompt forum page. We did have one take on last week's prompts. @aditus took a shot at prompt 836. Read it here - https://gayauthors.org/story/aditus/prickly-prompts/10 Until next time. Remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

Oh dear. I always loved Scrooge McDuck. Didn't know he'd been renamed. Your thief is a true rogue. Who would steal a corgi? My father's was six month's old before she discovered she could bark. After 10 years I don't think I have ever heard her growl. The man is a true villain! Good job.

Welcome to another Groundhog's Day, um, oh I mean Friday. Other watching the television, reading, and raiding my fridge, I have been writing. In fact, here are two new prompts for everyone. Prompt 836 - Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - an airline ticket, a silk robe, a blue suitcase, a corgi, and a cursed gold coin. Prompt 837 - Creative Tag - Cursed Your mother used to tease you that if you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck at all. That is until you found out you were the family scapegoat and were cursed to take all the bad luck for everyone in your family. As you reached your twenty-fifth birthday, mother slips you a note explaining who you need to see to break your curse. What happened? Well, there are your new choices. Hope to see your responses. Until next time, remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

Welcome to Friday. It is Friday isn't it? I hope so. Anyway, did you know Friday is named after Frigg, wife of Odin? Why do I mention that? Read the prompts. Prompt 834 - Creative Tag - Friday Having seen your child hurt by bullies you curse and wish that Friday would just vanish, Instead a large woman pounds on your door. "Why would you curse my day?" The woman demanded. Not knowing who she is you explain what is going on. "My name is Frigg and I shall teach you an important lesson." What happened? Prompt 935 - Creative Tag - First Line "Thank God, it's Friday at last!" So there they are. Hope one appeals to you. Remember to read, write, comment, and like. 'til next time stay safe and well.

I read them all. If you haven't you should.

Oh dear. @wildone in a bunny outfit?

Well we have reached the major holidays of spring in quarantine. However, at least we are still here for Passover and Easter, I have new prompts to get you in the spirit. Prompt 832 - Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - a dinner invitation, an egg, a bitter herb, a new shirt, and a bowl of soup. Prompt 833 - Creative Tag - The Egg Hunt When your mother asked for help at the local egg hunt you figured it would be helping to hide the eggs. You didn't expect to be stuck in a bright pink bunny outfit, taking pictures with kids, and helping find eggs with the kids. Pulling a bright blue plastic egg out from under a bush for a three year old you slipped and fell. You were helped up by a stunning man who smiled and thanked you for helping his nephew. Who is the stranger and what happened next? So those are the prompts for the week. Did either appeal to you? If so please share your story in the prompt forum. "Til next time. Remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

Second thing I saw was the Prompts that @comicfan graces us with every Friday, might be under utilized. I'm thinking I might do something totally different and actually express myself though a prompt response Keep the booing and the throwing of rotten fruit and vegetables at me to a minimum. I'm kind of fragile @wildone at least someone is intrigued by them. @Valkyrie he better not be killing off the Easter Bunny! I might use that as my Easter Prompt next week. @Slytherin just stay safe. We need you LBO. ❤

Hello! Well we made it through another week. The world gets a bit scarier, and living in New York has me in the center of the hot spot at the moment. In an attempt to focus on anything other than the news, I present to you new prompts. Prompt 830 - Creative Tag - First Line Where do you think you're going? Prompt 831 - Creative Tag - Owned When you woke up this morning you found a metal collar around your neck. As you raised your hand to feel it, you discovered a tattoo on your hand and looking around suddenly that you weren't in your bedroom. Instead you found yourself on the floor of a small empty cell. Scared and confused you look around as a window opens and a small package is dropped in. Suddenly a computer generated image appears before you and informs you that you are to dress and prepare to meet your new owner. What is going on? So those are the prompt offers this week. If you do choose to write one please leave a link in the prompt forum. Until next time remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

Rats. I've caught up. This is infuriating. Like a puzzle with so many pieces, but no idea what it forms. Til next time.
-
I get the feeling the locus child is going to be someone important. Poor thing.
-
Nothing scarier then coming between a parent and an injured child.
-
Aww. He has a big heart.
-
Magic always comes with a price.
-
Well, unfortunately I've had female customers at work use their boobs as a purse. Just glad Londe was there to help.

Well the world has been quarantined and people seem to be wondering what they can do. My suggestion is write. To help get your mind off things here are some new prompts. Prompt 828 - Creative Tag - Pygmalion You'd only learned to carve after your accident. Originally you created birds and small creatures, but when you were left with a piece that was nearly seven foot tall it was suggested you carve a man. It began almost accidentally, but soon you found yourself carving your idealized man. People watching say you are inspired, and you push yourself, perfecting every muscle and hair on your creation. Finally, you collapse one night after putting the final touches, wishing he were alive. When you wake, you find yourself held lovingly in the arms of a stunning man who looks like your statue. What happened? Prompt 829- Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - an empty street, a log cabin, a giant fish, an awful smell, and a pizza. Hopefully something appeals to you and you will attempt a prompt. If so, please, post the link on the prompt page. Until next time, remember to read, write, comment, and like. Stay safe and well.

I hope everyone enjoyed their St. Patrick's Day even if you were quarantined. The world is different place than it was a month ago. However, I usually focus on the positive and hopefully one of the prompts this week will help brighten your day. Prompt 826 - Creative Tag - The Good Day What makes a day a good day? Is it the morning kiss from your significant other? Maybe it is the cat not throwing up a hairball in your shoe? Or making all the lights going to work? Write a story where your character just has a good day, not perfect or outrageous. What constitutes a good day for them? Prompt 827 - Creative Tag - First Line "Oh, that gives me a great idea! Wanna help?" Maybe one of these prompts will appeal to you. If you decide to attempt one please remember to include on the prompt page. Until next time, stay well. Remember to read, write, comment, and like.

Time flies. Next week is Saint Patrick's Day. It seems to be a bigger deal in the United States than in Ireland, but this year everything seems to be impacted by the coronavirus. Here is hoping everyone is well. To take your mind off such sad things here are some new prompts to consider. Prompt 824 - Creative Tag - List of Words Use the following words in a story - a rainbow, a corned beef sandwich, a four leaf clover, a black eye, and a leprechaun. Prompt 825 - Creative Tag - Pot of Gold Leprechauns are tricksters and part of the Fairy. The little shoemakers are well known for creating beautiful shoes that others pay handsomely for, the leprechauns are paid in gold by other creatures of fairy, thereby creating a pot of gold for each. You've managed to capture one and are faced with a hard decision. You may take his pot of gold, thereby also taking his magic, or attempt to keep him hostage for three nights and win three wishes from the leprechaun. Just remember, leprechauns are tricksters, will escape if they can, and are wordsmiths as well as cobblers. What happens when you go for your choice? Did either appeal to you? Hopefully we will have some new prompt tales next week. Until then remember to read, write, comment, and like.

Welcome to March. Okay, so it is a few days in, but it is the first Friday of the month. So it is also a month for the Irish with St. Patrick's Day here in the United States, which reminds me that it is time for new prompts. Prompt 822 - Creative Tag - First Line "What on earth are you wearing?" Prompt 823 - Creative Tag - Promises Your grandmother always warned you not to make promises you couldn't keep. However, you never thought she was being serious. Until you met the odd neighbor when you moved your new home. He invited you over for a dinner but you made an excuse not to go. After finding an excuse each time he tried to get you over, you figured you would simply placate him. "I promise I'll be at your next event." He smiled and shook your hand. "Make sure you do," was all he said. When it came up, you found every reason not to go, but you suddenly find yourself compelled to go. You spot a letter left on your door that simply reads "Promises must be kept!" What happens and what did your promise make you do? So that is the new prompts I have for you. Either one catch your attention? Feel free to write your story and post it in the prompt forum. Until next time. Remember to read, write, comment, and like. Speaking of writing we did have someone take a shot at Prompt 819. https://gayauthors.org/story/valkyrie/promptingsfromvalhalla/38 - Take a read of @Valkyrie's prompt tale.
