  1. I tried to limit the court drama but it spilled over into this new chapter but there are some big surprises in this one (I think you'll like it) ....and No Mistrial Go Read: Pour Me Another brand-new-shiny-hot-of-the-press-chapter
  2. Asher woke with a sudden jolt. Cold sweat coated his skin as he sat upright and glanced around the room. He was in a large office. The light was very dim. The walls were covered with the same dark wood paneling as the courtroom. The narrow couch creaked underneath Asher when he shifted his weight. It looked expensive. The elegant Jacquard fabric was made for the kind of furniture wealthy people displayed for show, but was never intended to actually sit on it. “What happened?” Asher mumbl
  3. I like the ATA interviews. It's always fun to learn more about what are the thoughts and ideas behind the authors
  4. What? You don't really want Asher to fall for someone else LOL,it was a bad fight but they need to cool off and calm down. Michael's boss is a jackwad!! ((I've never really said what Michael's corporate job is but he's not a lawyer....I envision him as Accounts/Advertising/Acquisitions type )) More to come so don't get too mad at me just yet...
  5. Haha--- you can't fool me LBO!!! I'm glad you didn't fall asleep (( sticky blue fur mated in drool....ewwwww....not a pretty sight) I tried to limit the courtroom drama to just 1 chapter but it will continue into the next. Thanks for all your support!
  6. Yeah, Petersen is a jackwad! LOL I'm glad the courtroom drama didn't fall flat It was a very hard chapter to write. I'm glad you liked it
  7. Thank you so much! This was so hard to write. I'm not good at the legal stuff. I was worried that it would be too much or not enough or just plain-ass boring! LOL
  8. I think I'm taking bets on a cage-fight. Do we want to throw Petersen in too? LOL
  9. It was really hard to scale down the court scenes. I tried to show the most important aspects of the trial. For example the ballistic expert Ms. Choy, I showed her being questioned by the prosecution but not by the defense (even though readers would know that she was questioned by Petersen too as the scene continued off screen) Same with Asher, readers should know that he was questioned by both the prosecution and defense but I thought it would be boring to show both. I didn't want to keep re-hashing things that readers would already know (that's why Dr. Edwards testimony is completely off screen but readers would understand references to what is said since they know about Asher's original injuries from earlier in the story) This chapter and the next were very very hard. Trying to find the right balance without spoon-feeding readers and without putting them to sleep......Do we have a verdict yet?? LOL Thanks for reading
  10. Thanks! The court stuff will continue into the next chapter. I really tried to limit it to just 1 chapter but I felt that if I cut it down too much it wouldn't do the story justice. I'm glad you like it
  11. Awwwww thanks so much. I was super-duper-worried that everyone would fall asleep. The court scene had to be included and it was very hard to write so I'm glad that it wasn't a total snoozefest! LOL
  12. At least Asher knew it was coming but it still didn't make it any better. He has been traumatized and now the defense attorney Petersen is only making it worse. It was a tough chapter (to write and read). Thanks for reading
  13. Ooooh cage fight between Ian and Michael??? Should I take bets on who will win? These guys bicker/fight/yell like some of my real life friends. Sometimes the drama is never ending! Thanks for reading

  16. Not Wednesday yet It was hard to keep to the core of the trial. I was so worried, too much? Too little? Too boring? Jeeeesh, it's stressful and I don't do legal stuff well so I'm glad it came off as believable
  17. Thanks so much!! I wanted to try and limit the trial to 1 chapter but I wasn't able to do it ....there will be more in the next chapter. Punching Petersen? That's a good idea
