Perfect! I had the whole scene playing in my head again and again, still it took me so long until it felt right. I'm glad you could see it. Thank you, Def!

You might think I have an affinity to urns and ashes, huh? Anyway, thinking like a true gardener, that all I'm saying. Thank you, Cole!

  10. In 1788, Carlos III of Spain decided that he wanted some of the exotic plants, flowers and trees from his territories in South and Central America brought over to adorn his palace in Madrid. Trouble was the flora needed a stop-off point to become acclimatized to their new environment. The Canary Islands, with their sub-tropical climate, seemed the ideal choice, so Carlos drew up a Royal Decree on August 17th of that year declaring the establishment of an "acclimatization garden" in Puerto de La Cruz. Although known officially as Jardín de Aclimatación de la Orotava, or "JAO", it is actually in Puerto de La Cruz (there is a smaller one actually in La Orotava). It covers around 20,000 square metres, and there are plans underway to double its size, with the addition of landscaping and more modern facilities. Chapter 1

Chapter One – Kristof Noël had called Landyn from school to tell him he would bring home a friend─Kristof Sorenson. They wanted to work on their presentation. Even though security measures were less strict after McGill’s apprehension about a year ago, Landyn still wanted the name and address of every new visitor, so he could check their background. He hadn’t found anything suspicious about Kristof, yet he felt a strange sense of trepidation when he went to open the door. Instead

    Prologue

Prologue The black Mercedes looked alien in a place where usually only hikers parked their SUVs. It stood there for long minutes, until finally a liveried chauffeur got out. He walked around the limousine, opened the back door, and talked briefly to someone hidden behind the tinted glass. When he stepped back, he held a blue, lidded jar in his hands. Then a tall man emerged from the inside, supporting himself heavily on a sculptured cane. The wind blew strands of his longish, white hair into

After all the things happened, it's time for Noël and Diarmad to get to know each other. Right?
  14. It reminds me of 'In Flanders Fields (John McRae) But I also think of the enthusiasm with which young men went into the war, where they were then confronted with gruesome reality. Every time we think of war, we should remember this and try the stony and frustrating way of diplomacy first. Thank you, Tim.

    American Tragedy

It took me a while before I could actually look at their faces, hear their stories without being furious. To hear all the bullshit, how different people/factions tried capitalizing on this tragedy without actually seeing us. ' Well, we are here and it's to stay' Well said, Tim. Thank you.

  24. Thank you for reading and commenting, dughlas! The importance is that you found something for yourself. The rest is technicalities.
