    Chapter 1

Great story, Def! I had to read it twice because I rushed through the first read because I needed to know the end, lol. I was right in the middle of everything the second time.

    Chapter 1

I'm glad Ryan didn't suffer in silence. It's not exactly the way to go to hit someone, but hey, sometimes it just happens and, in the end, he got a reaction. Yep, I could read some more from these too.

    Chapter 1

Ha! You need to ask if you should expand this? This is a teaser. A world back to zero with countless possibilities, almost everything could happen now. Selective mutism is an interesting idea. Ben will be able to talk when he thinks he can really trust, right? A benchmark for trust... or the depth of a relationship. So, the answer is yes. Please.

OMG! Really!? You really know the right words to motivate me, Val! I hope I'll be able to write the last part soon. Thank you so much! *hug*

Oh I remember how much you liked Zaidu and I'm glad Oliver didn't disappoint. I read about battle tactics and camps, asked a friend so not to make too many mistakes. It was very interesting, actually. Thank you for your kind words, Emi!

Thank you, Tim! The horse part just happened, but I have to admit I was quiet happy with it at the end.

I like your optimism. You almost convinced me! I'm glad you liked what I did. Thank you so much, for your kind words!

Yes, I'm sure the circumstances will be hard to accept for Oliver. What did I do, throwing them together like that? Oliver did truly love Adam though, otherwise he wouldn't have lived the life he did. I have an idea for the last part, but knowing me it will change several times. Thank you Puppi, for reading, liking and commenting.

Yeah, I have this urge to balance things out, at least in short stories. I actually have to force myself not to do it from time to time. The soldier-horse relationship just happened one evening, when I wasn't feeling well. I needed something nice. Thank you for taking the time to read, like and comment, AC!

*Surprise!* You made me curious: What did you expect? Right, not what Oliver expected either. Blindsided... It will not be easy, that's for sure. I have a vague idea for the last part. It will definitely be another time jump...so whatever problems they had, they will have solved it... Thank you Gary, for reading, liking, and commenting.

So sorry, Lisa. Somehow I use the anthos to try out different writing styles, genres out of my comfort zone, which means they get a little dramatic/sad. Thank you for still wanting more, reading, liking, commenting and being an amazing editor. *hugs*

*bows* Thank you, Carlos! I'm so glad it worked for you. Oliver was difficult and it took me forever to decide what to do with him at the end. I should really start to plan my stories...

A common goal might work to unite them, Adam can be the mediator. Still, Oliver has a lot to accept. I hope I'll get to the last part in what's left of 2016. Thank you Tim, for taking the time to read, like, and review.

    Chapter 1

I really enjoyed the story. It's well written, the conflicts felt genuine, and the end was exactly right, something to think about.

    Chapter 1

My first thought was actually a question: Why a poem from the perspective of a coroner of all people? Not that it really matters. It's an outcry for those who can't do that anymore. You're taking sides, and rightfully so.

    Chapter 1

I liked how you wove parts of Mike's grandfather's life into Mike's own. He could find comfort in those letters, strength, and courage. It's unfortunate they never got to talk. The idea to donate the letters to the museum is great. Some might be surprised when reading them. Thank you for sharing.
  17. Congrats Def! Thanks to Val I have to watch LOTR tonight, but the weekend is near...

    Oliver

Oliver The steady clop, clop, clop of hooves had almost lulled Oliver back to sleep, when Riah suddenly slipped on the muddy ground and nearly threw him off the saddle. By drawing in the reins, and muttering soothing words, he quickly managed to calm his spooked horse. After that, he had to adjust the heavy blanket around his shoulders. The constant rain seemed to seep into his bones. The cold numbed everything except for his leg; an enemy’s sword had grazed his thigh a few days ago, and it th

  20. Happy Birthday, William!
  21. #1 My thoughts in your words. How many time can we go down the same road until we come back reformed? Or are gone entirely. #2 You're generous, but I thought you would. Thank you for sharing.
  22. I found this always interesting. I love Catull's poems. To make this complete we should mention Trionfo di Afrodite. As a person, Orff has been an opportunist and a coward.
  23. I don't know if anyone already mentioned Carl Orff. And especially his Carmina Burana. I was sorting through my music and found an old cd. I had forgotten how much I loved this. I was there.

    Vodka at Moonlight

Ha! Better late than never. It's starts with a joke, kinda, and ends with a really creepy outlook. As Puppi said, it calls for a sequel.
  25. I love Val's new story: Vodka at Moonlight
