I agree. Whatever issues Kevin and Cameron are going to face. Kevin has some strong friends and they are stepping up even if Kevin can't fully appreciate it yet. It might not be easy but Kevin has a good support system and will pull through. As for the parents, Cameron's mom is already an ally and while Kevin's parents are still somewhat clueless, that doesn't mean that they won't support Kevin when they know. They both seem to care for family and want their kids to get along. Hopefully that plays out when Kevin comes out or is outed

I have a bad feeling that things between Kevin and Devin will get worse before they get better. I am not sure how Kevin's parent's will react at the news as well

I appreciate the larger drama of the overall story but the small intimacies between the characters and their deepening relationships are truly amazing.

I like Cameron's mum. I think that she will play an important role in helping Cameron and Kevin to face the world and rely on each other

I am just blown away by your portrayal of Oli. You captured the essence of his adolescence sometimes with the fleeting wisdom of adulthood, coupled by innocence, inexperience and the insecurities of his age. Through it all we seem him striving to find his purpose. His honest lack of knowledge of swearing on stage was priceless. The interactions between Teddie and Oli were also especially touching. A very sweet and touching chapter!

I also am delighted to see another story posted. I am a bit surprised by Devin's and Kevin's relationship. we are told that they have always been close and I expect them to argue between themselves but stand solid if anyone else takes a shot. But they actually seem estranged from each other in a deeper way than not speaking about Kevin's sexuality.

Should only people without harsh life experience give advice to those who are struggling? I think Ryder has earned the right the hard way to reach out to Teddy and Oli with their issues

yes they are were/are both drummers but you could find two people more stylistically different from Ryder and Oli Ace, another superb chapter. Ryder is helping himself as he reaches out to mend the family's lingering wounds. Thoughtful, Sweet and Empathetic.

It felt like a month since the previous chapter, then I checked, and it was only two weeks. Either way i am addicted so welcome back. I really enjoyed the chapter: so little happened (they went for pizza) and yet so much!

Ronyx, I have to admit that I was reconciled to TJ's death. This is a much better ending but you also made the alternative reasonable and even satisfying , though harsh and terribly sad. I reread the beginning of the story and it is honest in that it is restricted to the dream, no more, no less. We took ourselves down that dark path willingly. Wonderful story, wonderful storytelling !!!!!

your descriptions of John and Michael, sound a lot like an American/Australian couple I got to know named Gene and John who have been together getting on 60 years

the story is exceptional but very difficult. I will continue but I may have to bail if it gets too violent

Great story. I have some trouble with the teacher student relationship. Long ago when I was in school some teacher were having sex with students on the sly (married, middle aged, you get the drift). However there was also a first year teacher and a senior student who at the end of the year got engaged and subsequently married. the teacher didn't teach the student directly and they were only about five years apart in age. This caused a big ruckus because it was acknowledged even though her family (the student's) were supportive. The teacher left teaching and they developed a thriving business together. It is odd how the egregious acts were ignored and the open but borderline relationship became an issue. I still think that it is hazardous and unwise for teachers to date students but it is complex
