Love the chapter. Mike sounds so tough and secure but he has less self worth than Ryder did when he was being bullied. Mike may eventually figure it out but then again he may not. Bullies often never figure it out

Thanks, a lovely story. I'm sad that it reached its end but it was time for Joey and Gene to work it out. I loved how Joey communed with Allen to work out his feelings and fears. I was just a little sorry that he needed "a sign" from Allen to trust his feelings. Hopefully his faith gives him the strength to see his heart, Allen gave his blessing long ago.

I think that both Andy and Tyrone are both hilarious. I can't wait for Andy's workmate to walk in and then Bob's your uncle! But that won't happen until they are further compromised.

just catching up on this story now.I love the cheeky humour!

One more chapter to go ---- Say it aint so !!!! Joey has been somewhat oblivious, but of course he has been in the hospital recovering from life threatening injuries. Just about the time he would likely have started to wonder what had happened that Gene had become ensconced in his household, Gene exited stage left on his own accord. Nicky on the other hand has clear sight and may yet be the catalyst. To Joey and Gene: "Good Luck and don't f*ck it up!

Hard as this is for Teddy, this is still the easy part, mostly just the realization of the separations to come. Very real!. The image of Ryder face timing a sleepingTeddy was so sweet and like a punch in the gut. Beautifully expressed.

Ryder is emerging from his black hole. I was worried about the weed though. Glad you didn't go down the path of weed triggering a psychotic episode as weed and medications can be toxic for some. Whew.
-
Joey has awoken to a new member of the family - Uncle Gene. To Nicky, it is natural, to Gene and Joey there will be some negotiation involved!

Your 3 questions at the end make me think of the fade out of a soap opera,.. stay tuned and find out these and other pressing questions. Seriously, Teddy is moving from high school to adulthood. Life will be harder, but more rewarding, as he moves beyond the popularity bus to thinking about others. It is a story of Teddy's growth as much as Ryder's Thanks Ace

Goodbye Ryder Sullivan
Rndmrunner commented on Aceinthehole's story chapter in Goodbye Ryder Sullivan
Great chapter but I don't trust you... The sh*t will get real again very soon. I am buckling up, checking the airbags and installing roll-bars. This will be as hard in Teddy as for Ryder. -
It is good to see Ryder get his due. I don't trust you though. If we are only midway through the story there is some heavy sh*t waiting for Ryder and Teddy down the road and it will not be pretty. I will just have to let them enjoy their moment and hope they brace themselves.

The best sign of Joey's recovery is his sense of humour. It brings tears to my eyes, tears of laughter and tears of joy for Joey's recovery and Gene starting to become a man. Thanks.

AS each chapter comes out, I remember that this was going to be a light summer story. Boy am I happy that your characters have minds of their own. On to chapter 20 ...

Gene is finally not deceiving Tina or himself. He should take a long hard look at Nickie before making more promises that he can't deliver on. Thanks for the wonderful chapter

A Lovely holiday story. If you do write the third part, I would suggest bundling them together as they are part of a whole, particularly when they are published a year or more apart. thanks for the Christmas gift

that was sweet, just like Christmas cookies. Thank you

Chapter 88 Throwing Your Life Away
Rndmrunner commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 88 Throwing Your Life Away
Great chapter. I don't like Don but his attitude is of a type. At one level he believes that he is looking out for Robbie but it is only his own fears and status that drive his homophobia. Robbie still has a tough road. I am glad that Daniel is on board. -
A beautiful chapter and a lovely Christmas gift for your readers. It looks as if Both Joey and Gene have passed the worst of it and are both beginning the road to recovery.

Falling in love again, Never wanted to, What's a boy to do, Can't help it, ..... Lovely!
-
Finally, good things happening to good people. Wonderful chapter, Ian and Adam weren't the only ones with tears in their eyes

An-ti-ci-pa.........................................shun can add to the enjoyment. It doesn't change the fact that you are a sadist and lead us from cliff to cliff. Gene is still a wounded teenager emotionally. Joey however is a parent and empathetic as he is , Nicky must always come first, even ahead of helping Gene

What a wonderful and fun chapter. Don is still very defensive about Robbie being gay. I know Don's statements of "I am not homophobic " and "How can Robbie really know he is gay at his age" are standard lines for homophobes but I keep wondering what Don did in his youth. People would never tell a straight person," well how can you know if you are straight at 16". Guys who really are comfortable with their masculinity/sexually don't usually have an issue with gay men. It could be your next story: The Colbourg Kid - Don's Tale.

Gene is so alone, he even holds himself at bay. Star is the only one who he is close to truthful to

Great chapter, it reminded me of when we brought our little one home - the little one is now a teen like paddy and just as wonderful. Thanks

A Christmas story, O Henry would be proud of. Every year our local public radio station airs "A gift of the Magi" and this evokes the same spirit. Thank you
