Chapter #7 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #7 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
What if their relationship is beyond what skitters across the surface? Just saying. It may seem like only yesterday, but to them it feels an eternity. Glad you're still trucking through. #12 will be good IMO.. #13 even better [thinking I have to split #12 a bit.. ] -
As GA celebrates its tenth anniversary, I thought I'd share some things. Point and blank, unedited, and unprovoked. When I first came to GA, I came looking for a place to be able to cross-post my stories, to find a wider scope, a bigger audience. As I arrived, I found something very different, and yet very scary at the same time. I had seen GA in passing many times, never looking deeper than the front page; originally I thought it was a site I needed to pay to use and moved on. But once I got past the original registration page, months later, I realized that they included premium content, which was cool. Anyway, I'm going off base. When I first arrived, I went into chat, found someone by the name of Cia. I was nervous, thought my story wouldn’t fit the style of the site; boy was I wrong. Thanks to Cia, Bugeye, and Krista, who listened to my concerns with a keen eye; they urged me to post and to see what happens. So with that, I took a leap of faith forward and after some extreme editing on my part, I posted the first chapter of 'The Journey of Jacob and Kyle'. Not only was I welcomed with open arms, review’s and likes out the door, I felt like I had found a special place. As the months went on, I continued to post, and gained many friends because of it. Instead I find myself cross posting to other sites now, nifty was never my home, but a lifeless shell of some freaky people, who had scared me away once before. Now I consider GA my home, a place of comfort and acceptance. Encouragement especially. I thank everyone, all those who’ve read my stories, made comments and the likes. For I’ve found a place to call home. Let’s give her another ten amazing years. Thanks to Myr, the mods, and admins involved for giving us [authors] a place to feel welcome and needed. Especially those who are now published, who are still down to earth and willing to lend an ear. This is where I’ll plant my cot and lay in the shadow of all those better than I. ~CHEERS~

Interview Author Showcase - Thoughts From Comicality
podiumdavis commented on Trebs's blog entry in Gay Authors News
This was a wonderful article. I rather enjoyed reading it from work, and I couldn't help but smile as Comicality shared some of his memories. I also agree with one thing he said That is so true. Let's enjoy another 10 blissful years together. And maybe by then more new authors will have arrived and we'll have more stories to read. CHEERS! -
Cia maybe I hadn't been clear enough, or maybe you misunderstood. But the 5 likes part was in reference to the person giving those 5 likes to one specific author. Not an author himself being limited to receiving 5 likes.. The suggestion of mine was that any given person would be allowed to do a max of 5 likes for the day to ONE specific author. But wouldn't be limited for giving another 5 likes to let's say you. Clerified more? Or just up the limit LOL. Just an idea.

A weighing system would be quiet difficult to program (this coming from a programmers perspective) and it would also devalue the like system in some way. (that's if I'm understanding correctly). But in all seriousness, who'd do 125 likes in a single day?
-
Oh my two favorite people in one thread. I agree the like issue sucks at times, maybe we could protest for a bump up.But I understand why it is. It's basically to prevent a flood of likes for any given user. Possible it could be done to have a MAX of five likes PER author a day. That would seem fitting. But more illogical and hard to code. Let's get an admin in here to voice their opinion.

Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)

I don't think you or he fully understand how MUCH support is actually coming. Though, you'll find that support in the next chapter. And if you think this was emotionally charged? wait, just wait... like I'm the writer and it makes ME cry...fark. -
Chapter #6 - The Mistakes we make

haha pre-teen boy fun. Yes indeed. I can remember doing that as a kid. Maybe it was just me, but I loved it (running around naked I mean). Showers are fun too -
Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)

Yes, a 50/50 chance. The question is, will she?? Jacob's state of mind is pretty messed up, and one worthy of consideration, but I guess the real question would be, can it get worse before it get's better? His actions reverberate his mother's words clearly I think as well. -

Ignorance is bliss to those who believe in it, amiright? Yes Tomas' hatred will come out later; and thus I can't speak to much on him. I love his character though, let me say that. The trigger for Jacob was that he said defective (swear word). His mother had called him this, and thus was the trigger that set him off. (Bad choice of words?) Kyle's calmness is who he is it would seem, after going through all he has, I feel he's afraid to take action or to be offended so easily; it's just the climate. You'll see why later on.. I'm also glad this is your favorite; but that'll soon change once #12 hits; and I say that with the utmost confidence... Again you'll see why -
Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)

Even though I don't have plans on exploring what Sarah said to her sister, I will make this statement; which may or may not answer your upbringing question. They are in the same boat as Sarah. Nuff said. Though we will look at her upbringing later on; so don't jump ahead of me LOL. I think Kyle's passive ways are because he's been here before, he's learned that words hold no bearing if the person doesn't take an offence. To be offended you need to accept that, if you don't then it doesn't hurt; IMO. Look for chapter #12 for some of your inquiries. You won't be let down; that's not arrogance, it's pride in my work... Big difference I think -
Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)
First off, let me say welcome to the party. I had noticed you reading, but had never seen you like or review. Glad to see another face in the mix That said, there is a lot more to follow, as of current, chapter #12 is semi-written and needs editing done to it. After that I have nothing in reserve; which scares me. Everything posted at present was from original draft and completely rewritten, so then comes Chapter #13 which will all be written from that point on and no more editing of stuff already established. Though I know all of what happens. I don't want to say too much about Sarah; it's a wait and see type of thing. -
Chapter #11 - This Cold heart (Cont.)
podiumdavis posted new chapter in The Journey of Jacob and Kyle
The Journey of Jacob and Kyle Chapter #11: This Cold heart (Cont.) Time line: Monday “Shit we’ve only got four minutes to get to class. Thank God we start a few minutes later than Matthew,” Jacob announced, running towards his locker, Kyle following a few feet behind him. “Quickly go grab your things and I’ll meet you in class.” “Okay! I’ll see you in less than two minutes,” Kyle announced, running past locker after locker. Jacob stopped running when he reached his lock- 14 comments

Chapter #9 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #9 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
I feel Jacob's actions spoke louder than words in the instance you’re speaking of. I mean, he says it all the time, does he not? Actions are always louder than words, in my humble opinion. I think many could easily identify with Sarah, maybe they've come front and center with this mentality, and it's rather hard to overcome. Now onto #10 ha! -
Chapter #8 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #8 - The Mistakes we make (Cont)
Kyle was allowing the option to be available if Jacob so happened to want to do those things, but he was just against it as Jacob was. Maybe I hadn't been clear enough on that; but that's the case and point. I totally agree about being teen boys and what their minds mostly think about, but I think they made their commitment to one another loud and clear. So we'll see. -
Great tip for the day. I liked it a lot. Also as a side note: for the question listed above, please don't feel that you're not special enough to share. Everyone has a voice; though it's your option to speak.

Sounds like a plan Andy.. -
You find out where Sarah is soon.. The Orlando boys may be of worry, but again, you'll find that out soon . The boys from Orlando: Kinshi & Josh (Same age as Matthew and Nicolas), Craig & Harry (17), Walter and Skippy (15). I believe Bill wants to give them some freedom. The camp was meant for Gay Youth to get away from bullying and the likes with some R&R. So though it may seem terrible, I think the concept was well enough.

podiumdavis commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #4 - This Changes Everything (Cont)
I'm glad you're liking it KC. I put a lot of effort into my work, and I know I fail a lot of the times in my writing, but I believe the story holds its own; I hope. Warp speed ahead haha. My next story may or may not go as fast or slow. I would like to do a good slow story.. Maybe.. I got lots of the table as far as stories go -
I also had to redo Cia and CassieQ's I had them done and then their entries disapeared. I was like ARG!!!!!!!! I make sad face now. But all better now
