the only thing you surprised me with was the ring being in Cannd, you're like the opposite of my muse, and I love your comments coz they make me go back and think. You're the best!! The last two chapters were a challenge once again. I wanted to keep up with the movement in all the other chapters, but Toshi was in hospital, so I kept thinking, I can't have him lying on the bed the whole time...lol...quite the challenge, I tell you. As for Toshi's Mom, I think she was the funnest to write. Mainly 'coz her husband doesn't share much, yet he relies on her to handle everything. Toshi is unsure how to treat her even with knowing she's his mother. So, she could have either gotten depressed, or decided to fight back against the two...I liked her attitude. As you can tell, I loved writing her. Taki, I might have used him here, but also Toshi's world before Jason was unforgiving. In another scenario, he'd have been the one to fight Kaito. But Kaito would have damaged Toshi further and I didn't want to prolong the story that way. Jason had done so much already to heal Toshi, I felt it would have set Toshi back. So, I found someone else with more loathing than Toshi to get him. (I wonder if normal people think this way...lol, ) hmmm... Mako is a mean girl I knew in school. LOL, Enough said...lol As for this...(the shape of a snake. He considered that tat to signify his being yakuza. He hated it. I found it odd he'd want his ring fashioned after it, esp with the way he put it in his mom's face when trying to convince her he was not deserving of her love).... I fought with this just a moment. I'll tell you why. When Toshi told Jason the truth the first time, he was telling him with the understanding that Toshi knew what he was. It might be a terrible thing being in the mob, but he made his peace with it. Toshi's attachment to Jason starts because Jason accepts that part of him without judging him. While the tattoo might is a symbol of who he was, Jason's gesture with the ring, is a symbol of for Toshi becoming a new man despite who he was...the past can't be erased. I hope that makes some sense, it was the thinking behind the ring. I love your comments, I don't think I say that enough. So, thank you Cannd for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. Lol, neatly tied all up in neatly...it made me smile coz I had other people around me going like I should turn it into one of those drama/tragedy ... You know, the ending is here, light at the end of the tunnel, and the main character does something awful like die, or decide to go back into the life you know....lol but I'm all roses and stuff. When I was writing Mako, I kept thinking she might come off a bit shallow, but then I was like people do this sort of thing don't they? Even if it feels like a full scale plot, when its scraped down to the core, the motive is always simple. So, that was Mako, hurtful woman, I tell you. Chapter 10 Freedom Toshiro sat on the bed, legs crossed, watching Jason sleep. Morning crept in, in that silent way it had. The light slowly creeping through the curtains behind him, it turned Jason’s hair gold. He touched the soft strands delicately, not willing to wake Jason just yet. Jason. He still couldn’t believe this was real. This man, sleeping so peacefully, was his. It seemed untrue. Like a dream. Marry me, Jason had said with a smile. His heart skipped and he frowned.

Chapter 10 Part I: Escape “Where are you?” Yuriko Natake demanded into her phone. She stood at the end of the hallway watching her son’s door. The two police officers posted outside sat talking. She wished they’d be more vigilant. Goosebumps formed on her skin every time she thought of her son’s plan. “Kobe,” Jun Natake answered. “You didn’t tell me when you left.” “What’s to say?” She sighed. “He needs you. I can’t reach him.” “You’re his mother.” Jun was silent on the other end.

This was a sweet one shot, Sacred. I wanted to keep writing them, but they just wanted that short glimpse in their life...so stubborn they are...lol Thank you for reading it! I'm glad you loved it.
