  1. RIP Robert, I'll miss him. He was a good friend, always talked to everyone. I'll pray for his family to be strong through this hard time.
  2. Thank you Dark for featuring me, You do a great job. I loved Layla's Desolation Angels. And I got to meet another Buffy/Angel fan, Thorne Wilde. It's great to be in such company. Thanks again Dark!!
  3. Thank you so much Jo Ann for reading my stories. That makes me happy.. I think it's a mixture of both reading and instinct...hmm. Well, reading is dangerous at times for me. If I read something and it resonates with me, I keep myself away from my stories. Why? Because I feel like my characters have to go through something like that, and that is just bad for any story I'm writing. This has been my challenge, finding my own style and keeping away what others write out of my style. I do lots of research mostly. I obsess over towns, or jobs to understand them better. When it comes to the emotions...I think it's mostly imagining what a person would feel in that situation. I sometimes over capitalize on emotional drama, Rick who edited EB&C often had to reign me back when it got too much...lol. So in answer to your question, I seek out people who have experienced such situations and pester them with questions, which can include a lot of research. If it's not coming together, then I obsess even more, until it does. I love it when I'm working with someone, coz I'll bounce off ideas on them. I did that with Rick, for EB&C and also for my other story with Lisa. Getting a second opinion makes it come together, it really does. What about you? Do you write out of instinct or reading?

    Chapter 9

Hi Cannd, Thank you for reading! Yes, the dad was looking more than the mother, you got that right. I struggled with the need to put Toshiro's father into the story first, instead of the mother. But, the father has searched long and hard, so I felt their reunion needed a bit more thought. Two, the mother is level headed, and has taken over the role of holding things together in the family. So, she'd show up first, not to mention her level of guilt toward Toshiro's disappearance in the first place. You've pointed out a very crucial part in the relationship between Toshiro's parents. Their dynamics changed a lot. Yuriko blames herself, and she coped with it by doing what she could to keep the family together, be it business or whatever, compared to the father who actively decided to get out there and look for his son. So, in the next chapter, you'll get to see a lot about their dynamics, and it might play a large role in Toshiro's dilemma as well. Toshiro has been played a difficult card. I love that you bring out the crux of the matter so easily. The test of love is always... what are you willing to do for that person you love? Leave your life as you know it, move to another country, maybe continent...? It's always about what you can compromise. On one hand there is Jason planning for marriage, and then there is Toshiro who feels just lucky to breathe at any one single moment. He practically seems to never be safe. So how can they end up together? Such a complex question....lol..this author is also waiting to see how...the muse is taking a nap. lol As it is, I think Toshiro has changed a lot because of what he's learned and felt from Jason. So, he'll always make the decision to protect Jason first before anyone else. As for the money...Toshiro is always ahead of the game you know...you never know...lol Thank you for such a thought provoking comment. You always get me thinking even more than I was while writing. As Cole said before, stories on GA end up meaning so much more because of the comments from readers. Look forward to the last chapter.

    Chapter 9

Hi Cole, I'm so happy you found my story!! Thank you for reading it. You made my day by calling my story wonderful. You nailed it there with Toshiro constantly drawn to Jason in everything he does, it's an ongoing process, and I think he's managed to get where he is because of that pull to Jason. I hope the ending is good for you, and thank you for letting me know your thoughts.

    Chapter 9

Chapter Nine “You’re dead,” Sakura said. “So are you.” Sakura’s voice sounded far away. Unreal, yet it was so final. His body felt numb, stuck in one place. “I wish you’d stop pointing guns at each other,” Pakino said, drawing Toshiro’s attention to the workstation. “I can’t figure out these accounts with this ruckus.” Toshiro’s gaze swept to the two men aiming guns at him. Taki seemed to have stepped out. He had minutes if that was the case, minutes to end this for good. The accounts

    Chapter 8

Chapter 8 “Jason, answer my question,” Michael Baron said. “I don’t understand why you've spent the past four hours asking me questions. You’re the one at fault here. Why didn't you protect him? Toshiro came to you for protection!” Jason glared at the older man, tired of this senseless roundabout discussion. Twenty-five hours ago, he’d happily let Toshiro go to the grocery store, gods, maybe this was his fault. If he’d just— He scowled, just what? He couldn't even fight against the men

    Chapter 7

Chapter Seven Toshi grabbed the wrist holding the knife against his neck. He ignored the painful cut on his neck, turned and pressed his gun into his assailant’s thigh. He took two shots, the man dropped to his knees and Toshiro kicked him on the head. The bastard fell back to the ground with a painful groan. Toshiro kicked the workroom door open and rushed in. “Jason!” The room was empty. “Jason,” he whispered. He turned back to the man groaning on the ground. Falling on his knees, To
