God was it great to see clem stand up to that dick. nathan I love how you spoke of Clem never realizing that he was bigger than Nathan earlier in the story and that he noticed it this time as he stood next to the hothead. I guess that is a literal case of someone making a person feel small I'm kinda glad it didn't come to violence, but I might have enjoyed seeing Nathan get his ass kicked if I am honest. I thought the whole scene at his place was great. It was incredibly sweet. :cowboy:I had to laugh at his reaction to the simple fact that Ashlee took off his boots at the door. lol. It's nice to see Ashlee return the sentiment of love :wub:and I hope they keep making each other happy for a long time to come. Is that the end of the story? I wasn't sure.

I' ve enjoyed the story even if it is a hard subject matter. Matt is astute and I am praying he finds out that things aren't what they appear, though I have a fear things will get worse for Avery with this new pervert pedo on the scene. The hell this kid has lived in is terrible. it is so sad that his mother left him there. Was she forced to leave or did she not leave at all? It seemed like she cared about him, so how does a caring mom leave their kid. the father could have flipped when she left. I'd love the father to ramble about the circumstances sometime and what happened. I'd warn against one thing, in that the story deals with the abuse of a young boy, involving incest and possibly prostituting him out if it is what it seems that happens over Christmas break for Avery, so I'd say that you run the risk of it sounding like your last story with that bastard brother who abused his step-brother. there is one commonality between stories I would like and that is for this bastard to get his! I'm also glad that avery stands the chance of getting help and maybe even a boyfriend. so, I look forward to more and hope you can continue to keep us looking for updates while making this story unique despite the same subject matter. great stuff! twins!--sweet, happy for Meg and the Captain who is turning out to be a decent dad. I really like Meg, so I'm super happy for them. As for the boys raising one of the babies...that is sweet too. I just wonder if it is a fair to the kids b/c they have a dangerous job even if they are in an awesome ship, etc.? A small, aside, how do you decide which child to raise and which to give up? That is a tough one. I'd have to draw straws or I'd feel guilty choosing one over the other, I think. It was a cute that they both fainted. Hey, Gabe deserved to be ribbed more since he wasn't even the dad of the twins! The Captain being so happy was cute and did say something about how he's enjoyed getting to know Gabe and be a part of his life. I'd love to get a bit more insight into their relationship. We haven't gotten to see a real inside view, more of seeing them deal with others than with each other alone, or at least it seems like that to me. I look forward to the boys' decision. I'd like to see a bit more into Riley's feelings on these owners and why they'd do it. I was a bit surprised at the idea that they happened to be in league with one another. What were they business partners who decided to pass slaves around? Was Ryle that good that each wanted a turn? It seemed odd to me. And who is this other person on the list? Though the one owner has enough reason to be upset....He's not even Cana is he? and even if he is, I know from owning birds that without flights they can fall like a stone the fight scene was very exciting. I had a bit of trouble, though it was probably just me, understanding a bit of what Riley was doing. I understand him helping make a hole to get other ships closer, but was he physically dropping off some men off on the ship? What was it about having them hold onto the landing gear or something? Anyway, aside from that exciting to see them kick some butt, though at least the Admiral protected the hated Captain or at least Meg! The Admiral being Meg's grandfather was a funny and interesting twist. It seems a lot of the disdain is due to stubbornness as the Captain says. He treated his granddaughter well, it seems and she clearly loves him. Hope he comes around and gets to know Gabe and especially the babies who are his great-grandchildren. More please, soon!! P.S. It's nice to see you give credit to your editor. Editors and beta readers are oftentimes not acknowledged and they do volunteer time to help and work hard on it. I know, from beta-reading myself and doing a bit of editing, that it takes time and care to do it and finding time is sometimes hard in our busy lives. Even moreso, for those working on their own stories at the same time like crafting....so classy to give her credit like that.

Love it... So, I think that Clem should have had a conversation about his ex with Ashlee. He knew the jerk would be there. Knew he was there when he saw the truck. he knows his reaction to 'twinks' and knows he wasn't happy to give Clem up. He wasn't going to react well to the little 'pansy faggot' who got him...let's be honest...that's the kinda language he'd use on a nice day! Ashlee deserved to have the warning. I also think it COULD (ash is a real tough cookie so I hope it doesn't) make him feel insecure that he is so different from Clem's 'type' if his ex is any tell. Hopefully, he'll get that maybe he hadn't found his type before Ashlee. This confrontation should prove more entertaining than even the rodeo. It was sad when his friends didn't know what to make of Ashlee (I loved how it was 'just cuase Nathan dumped you'.... and took off. that's not what true friends do. I love Grayson and Suki. I have to admit, that though, I don't think I'd be sad if one of the steers took a sharp right with their horn through nate .....ok, a bit mean on my part...but really he's a dick. There is still something hot about this showdown that is about to occur. I just hope ash and clem come out on top. Nathan is such a bully and needs to be taken down a bunch of pegs....I say 'fist fight!' Though Clem seems bigger than that. darn!! Now Suki might go crazy on him if he insults her horse, brother and now her new friends! lol

really beautiful. I think you did a great job growing the relationship between the captain and his kids for all his reputation though, he's always seemed like a good sort who cared, but I won't be caught saying that. but really, cute story and I really was touched at the thought that the man who hurt riley and others, esp riley so irreparably, would be punished. Moreso, I loved seeing Riley do what he thought he never would. I wish you'd make the stuff about their mating a bit more descriptive from their point of view. is Gabe finding himself just understanding the Canari language or is he learning it? are there any other things they are finding between each other? I was a bit confused about the bad memory thing with Horatio as you'd think a scout would need a good one. I look forward to the captain's other surprise. I am hoping that Gabe's step-father and Riley's family are there too!

Beautiful story that was satisfying despite its short length and you developed the characters amazingly well for the length also. it's hard when an author is good enough to peek your interest in these shorties and then you are usually left unsatisfied. I always want more of the story and to know what happened, like with the other story and the kid with the purple tipped hair and his 'redneck'. You want to know what happened after that. That is just how I am. It leaves me frustrated to not know the rest of the story. I felt like this one was more satisfying, maybe because you felt like they'd make it and that you'd developed them enough to feel like you got a good enough peek into their world. I loved the world 'inside the sheet' b/c I think we've all done that at some time whether out of fear or hiding or pretending you're in a tent. It was sweet. I loved when this big guy climbed into the wardrobe with him. I only wondered about their ages. I thought it was beautiful that they had differences in their backgrounds and hobbies that were then shared and respected. They really were a sweet couple you created here. thanks.

the story is going so well. can't wait to see what the captain's surprise is. is it his sister? or could he have tracked down his mooru? (is that the mom's title?) Now will they face some challenge? I love how the dad is so sweet with them. he's doin pretty well as a father.

I am enjoying this story a lot. He should have asked Kyla what shampoo Ryle needed though It was nice for him to find his nestmate, though a bit crazy that he would. Overall, I've been reading steadily since I began the story. I like the characters who I think you've developed well. One thing I like is that it is different than the other paranormal stories you wrote about the lycans. it shows talent when each story isn't the same. I don't know how long he'll be able to keep his feelings a secret, though I don't think his dad will care--the captain at least. Yea, he better work to keep it a secret between them and loved ones. Others on the ship might not react well. Looking forward to more.

This chapter had a lot packed into it...a lot of steps forward in the pack and in D & J's relationship. I think it is interesting how much being away from that old pack and moreso, the alpha, was affecting him. I'm so happy to see Darwin communicating with Jared. I am a bit unclear what Jared is going to learn from these Alphas. They don't have dom or sub wolves to deal with so how can they help this pack defeat Carl? It just doesn't make sense. Also, Carl seemed to think this group had dominants and alphas. Or does he know the truth and plan to kill off the rest of the pack? Is Rayne saying he heard there were dominants and alphas there and so headed there not knowing it was all alphas? I wonder how Darla will feel about her new state? does Darwin want J to claim him? Better bite the other shoulder good luck with your finals.

Beautiful ending to the story. A perfect ending with the birth of the baby lining up with this special holiday, for those of us celebrating Christmas and the birth of Jesus. It was nice to see the baby born even though we knew she existed and saw glimpses of her in the other stories. I am looking forward to all the other stories in CV, esp Jackson and Casey ...now those two are not the love at first sight so it should be fun! Merry Christmas and hugs.

WOW! Stephen lost it! I wonder if he ever beat his gf's? He really is dangerous. Not only dangerous, but out of reality, only blaming Dan and calling him a tease and such. Apparently, only Dan is guilty for not telling him how he felt and Stephen holds no responsibility. And that side of him, is how fucked up? How could Dan have never have seen this side of the guy? Initially, I was annoyed that it sounded like he'd stay with Adam, not out of love, but out of a duty to not hurt him like the others had. That wouldn't be fair. But, I guess he could have a moment to think 'what if' when his first love who until a few days ago, was his heart's desire, says he's available to you. I can't believe Stephen showed such different colors. How could he be friends from childhood with Dan and never show this side. Great use of the prompts. I'm really enjoying how you do this...I think it is brilliant how you make them one offs and not a story we're waiting to continue perfectly. yes, we are happy to see the wedding and stuff, but the stories are complete in their own ways. I like that. this was really cute and I sincerely hope you have Kayden and Samuel become friends in the future. He has the slaves who adore him and Damien but no people his own age to enjoy hanging out with. It would be cute to see this boy from town have the ability to visit the Duke's house. I think it is funny how Damien said it's better than listening to wedding plans lol I love the sense of joy that Kayden's presence and his hijinks have brought to the household too. I kinda had reservations about his age and being with Damien sexually when he was only 16 when he got there right? But, he is happy and certainly deserves that. I only worry about when Damien becomes King, will he be allowed to have Kayden as his consort (if you call him that like people tend to call a King's companion). will he be expected to father an heir? hmm But, anyhow I hope you will continue their story So like that guy says on that stupid ghost show says, 'And on to the next'

Wow! This isn't a huge jump for you given your last story. I hope these two are able to come out in the end, together, like the others. I'm surprised that Kat can handle such scary stuff in stride. If she truly knows how imbedded Dimitri is, I am surprised she wasn't upset to have him in her restaurant. I'm a bit relieved, ok not very much, that Dimitri might be working with the government, but this is still way too dangerous. I think a group like this would have someone ready to take over the business even if the head were cut off the snake. Is Lucian her son? Did the father kill his brother, possibly her son? He is clearly at the top of the food chain in this group, but even he sounded slightly scared. He sounded like he was warning Dimitri off when he spoke of his family being his weakness and bringing them into it. Sounds like they were already into it by the nature of their father's death. I can't imagine why Dimitri got involved in this when he knew he'd be putting his family in danger. They'd already killed one member. How could Lukas support it? If I were Talin, attraction or not, I'd tell him to go fly a kite. There is no way I'd put my business and moreso my life on the line for someone who chose such a dangerous job. I'm surprised that Dimitri didn't worry Talin would go check on seems like the type that would have. Wasn't he afraid that he or the girl who works for him (can't remember her name) would see his car was still there? Talin just had to look out his window. Dimitri is very far into this. I think his finally approaching Talin was the reason he was brought in, b/c as Lucian said, they know his weaknesses. I am sure they knew he was watching him obsessively and protecting him by threatening types like Ken and the other men being a problem, they know how he feels about Talin. that scene where she kills the men was pretty messed up! looking forward to more. I just Dimitri talks to Talin before he leaves!

I'm enjoying the story. Despite the drama which can sometimes be a turn-off if too drawn out, I think this served to make the relationship feel more real and balanced that 'I loved you at first sight' stuff. I think it gave us definite insight into Adam's personality and his insecurities that will probably come up once in a while. Fact is, he was tossed aside in each of those relationships, even the one he decided to break-up with for being POS. So, it was normal for him to be upset by Dan's comment. Actually, baggage or not, that comment about being too sober to do something sexual with him, was a crappy comment that would bother most. I like that he was willing to open up and I'm glad he was able to make up with his brother. As for Dan, I think he has to make sure that Adam is okay with a closeted relationship and I am wondering if, despite his easy going reaction to he news of Dan's feelings for Steven, it might cause problems for them later when insecurities rear their ugly heads. The fact that he fell for his best friend may make him more understanding though. I do think Dan is the type who expects him to be okay with what he is and how he feels. It seems like so far, for all his ability to play mediator (quite well actually) and to talk to someone who is distressed and be comforting (also quite well), I don't know how good he'll be at navigating his own issues and feeling out how his bf feels about it and to be able to work it out in a way that is good for both of them. I guess we shall see. I enjoyed the chemistry between them. I like Joey and karl as characters too. I think we've all had a friend like Karl who is ultra-cool about stuff and fun to be around. You're lucky if you have a younger sibling who can be mature enough to be there for you in hard times...i'm lucky that way. I hope he's got a best friend who is going to be accepting of him, afterall, I can't see why anyone shouldn't live and let live and that goes doubly when it is your best friend. You should just want them to be happy. Though it could get awkward if he finds out that he has a crush on him (which I think will slowly wane with him in a relationship). sometimes someone feels hurt/angry when a best friend keeps something so big from them too though. especially if he was able to tell these strangers, but they should try to put themselves in that person's place to see why they may have hidden it. I am curious what you will do about him and Steven. Will Steven end up saying he has feelings for him? Sees unlikely given his relationship with this girl. Will it just be a matter of working out the news and why it was held back? Could Steven be a homophobe? What will happen. I expect you to make it good! Steven could be a bit perturbed that Dan didn't spend the trip with him, but he should have left the gf at home if this was a trip the boys always took together. It was unfair of him to expect Dan to be a 3rd wheel. There was one issue of you switching back and forth between two names for the gf of Steven. I believe it was Lisa in one paragraph and then switched back to Claire again. I think it may have happened once in an earlier chapter but I know it happened in the last one in a few places. I was surprised the boys didn't ask where they were each from! How did they know if a relationship was possible distance-wise. Also, they are obviously graduating, I assume or have they already? should have by 19, but if they haven't there would also be the issue of where they will be going, if anywhere for college. Look forward to more.

Casey knew Andrew and Jamie were mates. he's all up on mate bonds. why doesn't he get that Jackson is his mate? Or does he and he can't stop torturing a man who has been alive for 2000 yrs looking for a mate for most of it and now that he has found him, he won't say something. Jackson has some issue too about revealing it to Casey.....they both can't get over their shit! It's real frustrating.

Very good story. I was wrapped up and didn't comment before. Found it tonight. I loved the action of the gun battle...that was great. I think you did a good job of explaining the bond that formed between two people in a week. from both sides. the crush sounds plausible and the natural need to latch onto something when you're in 'free fall' is normal. we'll see how it develops. I wouldn't make it go too fast that it becomes unnatural. The fact that the guards are gay was a bit too convenient but that's just for me. The one thing I feel is missing is some guilt on his part. His wife lost her life b/c of him. His boys lost both parents for the most part, b/c of him. He has blown their lives up. What was the final decision for them? Are they staying in their normal lives? How can he talk to them safely? Normally all ties are cut. I don't think they'd risk a convo before the trial especially. kinda would be some penance on his part anyhow. Looking forward to more.

well well done....i'm glad you added this. I think it was a necessary chapter to bring it round full circle. It was filled with little gems like his being unable to scream when they hurt him and I liked the way he died b/c it matched the vision of Devyn lying there with his blood all over him. He couldn't speak b/c it went through his throat. It was perfect. I really am excited b/c I think Gentry would make a great character. I did when we knew nothing about him, but you put little bits in about him and I want it. As for the development of Marlin as a character and Gentry, it was awesome. It was great to see the great Brad be reduced to what he was as he found out his fate even before he died. I only wish he'd found out Devyn would be okay. That is the only thing i'd add! Great chapter. It worked well for the story. I think you did a great job.

I only wish when we knew it took place in the timeline of their romance....I missed this though I don't know what date it was written. really cute. it's the same excitement I still feel when I see gorgeous parrots and birds, luckily I don't have to bite them to get them to behave. I kiss them and nuzzle them though, etc ...yea I'm weird.....my little parrots are so cute! I love these two...though he is sooo childlike in this one, it kinda makes Damien seem like a cradle robber lol

I hope there is a follow-up to this. What about Rover? I hope he finds someone. I find him to be the more likable character b/c we know him better, he was reliable and loved him from the beginning. He got to know Glory, where what we see with Sar in the end is really still something very new. It is something that is built on such tenuous strands and made of instinct and an emotional reaction to almost losing this person his instinct says is the most important person who will ever exist for him. Wow, what a past Glory reveals. The poor thing. I'd love to see a follow-up where we see these two grow as a couple, Rover find someone, Valentine lose his head, oh sorry, just had to sneak that in, and see them do something to improve the lives of Damphirs everywhere b/c not many of them will make it if that is their reality. They can make a difference. A great story which I enjoyed reading, but I expect that from you.

great ending. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between jase and Devyn. the ends were wrapped up. the only thing I'd have liked would have been for jase to say he finally told lyle he loved him....because i'm a sucker for a hea, but also b/c his road to opening his heart to lyle reminds me of Devyn's need to open himself up to others. the funny thing is that he was able to open his heart up to Michael easily despite what he went through. very well done!!! look forward to more of your work....soon?
