    I read that on Facebook and was seriously offended. The "if you haven't decided to be a writer while still a teenager then you can't make it in your 30s or 40s" attitude was bullshit. The whole article held nothing but a pompous, self-important, and bitter tone. I hope his critics slam his work on a regular basis.

    sometimes my response to the prompts are the flash of an idea that needs a voice. Some are certainly longer and some are just a snippet. Sometimes we get lucky and the small scene becomes something bigger.

    In case I'm not here during the live portion: I really enjoyed Pierced and found the characters plausible and engaging. I found myself rooting for both of the main characters as they evolved. Nice work. In the interview you mentioned your writing/editing process. It's very straightforward and a practical lesson, I think, for all authors. Do you find that you have any peculiar methods or habits while you write that people might find odd or relate to? How do you break out of writer's block when it hits? (Okay... that's really two questions.)

    I have a favorite external keyboard that I rarely use that clacks on every keystroke and has a heft to each key. I wish it was more convenient to use it more often.
