700 strikes against Shane
Timothy M. commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in 700 strikes against Shane
But at least Donovan became aware of how his own behavior in the past was less than perfect. We already knew Shane has major issues due to his father. -

I couldn't agree less. This was painful and awful for both of them. I shall try to forget the whole episode, since I enjoy the story in general. -
Fragment Eight: Searching
Timothy M. commented on ColumbusGuy's story chapter in Fragment Eight: Searching
Those two brothers have similar minds about how to avoid detection. Hopefully they've found the secret files but if not the folder may have films with Hartman's family, which he might like to see. -
Shit, that situation went out of control too fast I'm not surprised Alistair was ready to rip his hair out. Why didn't the Hawks make sure no one could get close to the gym? On the other hand, the misdirection is good for Dave, who seems ready to break down. I can't believe they made him wait another day, but I suppose they might have another victim who is even more fragile than him. Anyway, I think the strategy of refusing to comment is clever, since afterwards Deon can say he never confirmed the suspicions and he can't help that people came to the wrong conclusions and spread rumors all over the internet. Mason should warn Clarissa she'll be in line for reporters hunting her down when Deon refuses to talk to them. Same goes for Deon's dad and the rest of his family who needs to be warned. I hope Alistair thinks of this, especially if the story of how Deon used to be homophobic gets out.. At least Ben was honest with Mason, and I'm impressed with his casual way of coming out to his new friend. It will be a pleasant surprise for him if Ben turns up at the nightclub as a free agent. However, I have the feeling all the attention the case is getting may result in Jim and the others deciding to stay at home. But perhaps not, if Dave has given his testimony, and Deon and Clarissa have gone back to Sydney together with Neil. I know Deon planned to stay the whole week, but with the media attention on him it might be wise to go home where his club and team mates can protect him. Please post the next chapter soon, even if you're not ready for a weekly schedule. The suspense is hard to bear.

Good thing Avi knew Lex might be able to hear him too, so he tried to reach out to him. They both have a lot of explaining to do. I wonder if the dean is Ashur's father or uncle or something.
-
I'm not sure Morgan would be okay with them having sex on the counter. Especially if he'd walked in on them. Lex will deal with the stalker, but they need to start being more honest with each other.

I hope Jen will be properly remorseful if her stupid meddling results in Noah being raped by Sebastian.

Well, at least he got the bond completed in an enjoyable manner. And I guess it's easier to get to know Lexus if he can hear his surface thoughts.

A lovely morning treat to wake up to. Skittish guys like Mikey and Kevin are lucky to have people who care about them enough to help with their issues. Jay was being very mature, but also playful at their morning bath, and it was a perfect combination to make Mikey relax. Ben and Cal are a solid couple, and I laughed at them carrying Jay around with so much ease. It's always great to spend time with this group of friends.

Thanks, Def I'm glad you're going to return to Eric. His life improves in the latter chapters, except for an annoying neighbor.

OK, I admit having the Alpha being someone who saved Avi from the Husky is even better. And I like German Shepherds.

Imagine you’re old, poor and lonely and living in a cold, damp cottage in England. Then you’ll have the main character, Eric, and the setting of this story. Perhaps the only thing Eric has in common with usual main characters in GA stories is being gay and deeply closeted but opening the door. The person Eric opens the door to, is Andy, a young charity volunteer. At first they don’t get along at all, but with nudging from Adam, his clever boyfriend, Andy manages to salvage the initial disaster and gradually win the trust of Eric. He discovers how to help the taciturn, proud oldster who gradually opens up to potential friendships and a glimpse into the unobtainable world of gay romance and relationships. Northie once again has managed to capture my heart with something real; with characters who make mistakes, but strive to improve; with gentle but piercing observations on how society ignores the needs of the poor, the old, and the lonely. Most of all, how the kindness of a few people, who reach out to Eric during the story, makes all the difference in the world to him. This review is a shorter version of the blog review found here.

My vote is on the Husky - and I bet Avi will let him grovel for a long time before agreeing to date him, never mind bonding.
-
I hope the silly mystery Alpha will find out the hard way not to trifle with Avi's affections or mess with his mind.
-
I have to admit I never managed to go back and check.

for leaving a nice comment for both the story and the review. The latter is the reward for writing story reviews for this blog. BTW If anyone would like to do a blog review, we have a vacant spot in December. Just send me (or Renee) a PM.

You're not the only fan looking forward to reading book two about Eric. I agree completely with your points which was why I quoted your comment on the story.

Thanks, Gary If my review entices readers (back) to the story, my mission is accomplished. I'm sure you'll enjoy the final parts of the chapters, including Eric's struggles with learning to use a computer.
