  1. Surprisingly, I'm on JJ's side for once. His family, including Will, should just leave him the fuck alone to settle into his relationship with Kris. They just invade his home at a time they decide, without asking for permission, or even having the decency to calm his fears ahead of the visit, even though they know how vulnerable he is. But of course it was still stupid of him to be deliberately late, mainly because he didn't listen to what Kris wanted. I don't care about him being rude to Will (who was in his 'I-need-to-teach-him-a-lesson' mood), but he should be more sensitive to Kris' feelings and needs.

Good idea, Kris ! Get Jake to ride those German assholes, who are taking your money and doing fuck-all to solve your inheritance case. Being ex-military Jake is the perfect choice even though he doesn't speak German. It got Brad on your side even more, as he knows Jake loves feeling useful and clever (which he is). If Travis doesn't learn to think before he sulks, and in particular if he doesn't stop accusing Will of something he didn't do, he will break both their relationship and Will's heart. If he had just told Will 'I got another email from my sister, who is finally playing the Woe is Travis card. I'm not sure she means it, do you want to give me your perspective?' then Will would have been supportive. But Travis wants to hold on to his hate for now, which I can understand, but Will could probably find a solution. After all, Taylor is doing this apologizing as part of her therapy (according to Zach), so Travis can probably acknowledge her attempt in a way that will help her, without doing the forgiving and forgetting which he is not yet capable of.
  3. At least Granger managed to warn Calvert beforehand, so he wasn't caught totally by surprise. I think George should hire a private investigator to check out Chalmers and his relationship to the man who was hanged. That may bring up stories about this Chalmers vowing to get revenge on Granger.
  4. Will and Travis are great together, I really hope they'll make it as a couple long term. Surprisingly, I'm even thinking the same about JJ and Kris, though I normally couldn't care less about the drama queen.

    An Ass Kicking

I managed to read the first two lines of the chapter, and then I had to go and deal with some other stuff. All the time before I could get back to reading I was keeping my fingers crossed that Will would manage to hit the SWAT button, because I really wanted to read a description of what happened when Gills got taken down by them. Especially the look on his face We didn't get much of that, but I'm hoping for more in the next chapter when Jake (and Brad) confronts the Olympic security people.

I can see I need to get going on the list again.

    Chapter 50

That may be the case - and I guess the victor will also gain the privilege of writing the official version of the story afterwards. I just wanted to point out that we Danes have a slightly different opinion of the matter.
  9. You're very kind, but most of the credit should go to Gary for writing such great stories with attention to every detail. I just enjoy finding all those subtle hints and clever connections.

    K-Kris

I wonder how JJ would feel if he knew Will gave Kris advice about how to handle his brother.

    Dumped

Ugh a whole chapter of JJ and his drama, but at least we got a bit of Will in the end.
  12. We need more Aunt Mays and Brads in our lives.

    Chapter 98

Miranda is not part of the Buck family, but I guess she still is Travis' mother, so if Jake wants to have a relationship with his half brother Travis, who is the only Buck worth spending time with, he needs to deal with the rape problem. But he most likely won't have to see Miranda again, unless Will and Travis get married at some point. Which is not likely to happen for another 10+ years, right ? We still don't know who Jake talked to on the phone. Just saying
  14. I am in awe of the great jo the Anthology Team does, right from the beginning (choosing themes) to the end (publishing the stories). Parker Owens got two much deserved badges this month.

    Chapter 97

Will Curtis be more upset about not knowing his wife slept with his father (and got pregnant), than he was about not knowing she raped a minor? I bet he only thought she had a supposedly consensual affair with or seduced a youngster, which was not much use in the divorce case, apparently. I feel sorry for Jake, but now he knows why his mum was upset about the whole thing. She had an affair with (or was raped by) an older (married?) guy, got pregnant and had to settle with boring, penny-pinching Mr Pike. I'd like to point out that we haven't heard about Jake's phone call. I bet it was his mum, and I wonder what they talked about.
  16. aawww, thanks everyone, that was unexpected but much appreciated.

    Chapter 93

Oh well, at least Will has experience dating someone in the closet. Travis' family is more likely to destroy his potential career, but why worry about this now. Oh, and the LEGO gift was a cool idea, but I don't think there was a Westminster Abbey set in 2004. But that's OK, we can pretend there was.

    Chapter 87

I think Stef's yacht was in Australia most recently (when Will was with Connie). But the most likely answer is that Stef has boats near every continent in the world. Oh, and in Europe we don't worry about people leaving, only entering. So there is no problem with JP and Will going sailing. Anyway, they'll probably just sail around the Mediterranean and fly back to USA when they have sorted Travis' problems out.

    Chapter 79

Since George enjoys the company of intelligent and charming women (as well as men), I'm not surprised he wants his daughters to be well educated. He probably doesn't think so far, but if they have a good education and are clever, they may end up marrying men who he can like as sons-in-law. William already shows great promise, and I agree with other readers that he can benefit from having his father as a present role model.
  20. You're welcome to consider it your birthday present - and I won't even tease you about the spelling mistake in the blog title.

    Prologue

I'll miss Taylan a lot. I hope, once you have finished this story, you'll write a few short stories about funny episodes with Taylan. Maybe check out the prompts to be inspired. Not so surprised about Tom and Kit, they were so young and still had a lot of maturing left.

    Epilogue

I'm glad this long journey finally ended on a happy note. Kit really needed to be shown how privileged he is, but at least he never felt entitled and he was always eager to share.

    Chapter 87

Noone voted for Rich Crampton in the poll, but I'm happy to say I voted for Scott Slater. Of course, it will most likely be someone else... I'm glad JP and Will managed to rescue Travis, and that they have allied themselves with a great bunch of people.

    Chapter 78

I think Granger should ask Daventry to explain the situation to Caroline. He can easily afford to give her an annual income as a reward for retiring from society and languishing in obscurity from now on. Daventry can lay it out in a way she will understand, either fight George and lose everything she has, or be grateful she will be able to live comfortably and take any lover she wants. But I worry that she will not want to give up influence and power for comfort. I feel sorry for her, if she had been a man, she would have had options for success and would never have ended in this mess. Of course, Granger must ignore her attempts at blackmail about his male liaisons, but I'm trying to remember whether Daventry knows about this.

    Chapter 84

Will needs to put Travis in the back of his mind and enjoy the trip with JP. It's a great opportunity to see more of Europe and spend time with the person he admires most within the family. The Travis drama will be there when he returns.
