    Chapter 18

Ah, so that answered my question about the blood transfusion. I know I've read this chapter before, but it had slipped my mind. I agree with Puppi, Merrick did well on devising a solution to get Jenson to the ship. The curt and clever nurse made me laugh, so a nice tension-relieving moment in the middle of all the scary and angry stuff. Interesting that both fathers are arriving; to me that says the matter of the Alectarians' betrayal or incompetance will be taken to the next level. Not a moment too soon.

    Chapter 17

I think one of the best parts of this chapter was seeing Jenson and Audra gently teasing each other about their romances. They are clearly happy for their sibling's luck in finding love. It reminds me of seeing them together in the beginning of the story, before we really knew them. Of course, Merrick was delightfully hot with his own teasing and pleasuring Jenson, I'm not surprised the vampire wants to bite him all the time. And finally the cliffie How the fuck did that flauros avoid the drones?? Were they all pulled away by the other flauros (flauri? - what is the plural of flauros) ? How do you give a vampire a blood transfusion? let him bite a bloodbag? Can any vampire give blood to another or do they have blood types same as normal humans?
  3. Oh that's right. We call it Kyndelmisse in Danish. Pancakes are supposedly part of the traditional food.
  4. Why, oh why am I out of likes at this crucial moment. Oh well, have a Yay, Trey is coming home and will have Mark to care for him while he gets better. That's just what we were hoping for. but there had better be some cuddly times before you finish the story or else Nah, just kidding, but I would like to see them happy together.
  5. tim is sharing Renee with you? I thought you were both gay ?
  6. Actually, JAR did his usual Meta prompt chapter for prompt 474 but he forgot to list it in the topic and I forgot to remind him.
  7. I'm out of official likes so I can't wait to find out what new shifters you'll come up with. And since there are not that many shifters on Earth I'm sure they'll keep in touch with Micah's partners. How do shifters reproduce by the way?
  8. Which day is Ground Hog Day? (I did see the movie, but I forget the date.)
  9. Time for some weekend shopping and reading. And the best thing is it looks like it's only Book 1 of a series.

    Past and future

Thanks, tim. I love the way you get Chris totally. He was a sort of dark horse at the beginning, but as I'm writing the story he's become more and more important, and I've come to like him a lot. I'm delighted when someone mentions him particularly. And you're right, he's definitely loving and caring. I know, I know, I'll do my best to get writing on the next chapter.
  11. Yes! I'm so glad you made that point, it's exactly what I thought too. If you go to post 439 and 452 of the CC story topic, you'll find the recipes of the chocolate cake and the dream cake. I'd love to know what you think of them.

    Renewal

Well, finally Mark has a bit of luck. But with the way things have gone for him so far, I'm sitting here waiting for the other shoe to drop and for Carl to fuck up Mark's life once more. Could you please, please, give us a few chapters of Mark and Dan having a good relationship? I don't think I can bear it, if this doesn't work out.

    Chapter 18

O shit, I knew the honeymoon couldn't last, but this is bad. Wade is gonna kick himself for not ending those guys right from the start. And then he's gonna kick himself for not telling Spiderman to get the hell out of there. So, Thorn, where do you take a wounded superhero with a secret identity? Since he let the boy live, the baddies will know Peter was shot.
  14. I think I can say this without doing a spoiler: I have to admit I still think Matthew should have told his mother to leave. It would have been easier to catch up with her later, and she didn't deserve to be there.
  15. A spider has eight legs. Just saying... That's why it's not an insect.

    Chapter 3

First Rule: Never annoy the Mistress ! Second Rule: Apologize - and be ready for a spanking (mental or otherwise).
  17. Ahh, that's right, but in this case I was thinking of Mark being silent, so that's why I used the Danish phrase.
  18. Okayyy, so the hot as fuck shower scene is the obvious climax, but actually my favorite part is Preston bursting in on Cory and his roommates and friend and telling them about the Indie incident. I laughed till I cried.
  19. Along comes Indie and who could have guess he would become another awesome addition to this story. I guess Cory learned the hard way not to insist on saying he's bi every fucking time. There's a time and place for everything. Plus he didn't catch on to the very important thing Indie was saying about a gay team mate.
  20. So I guess this could also be called Garza and Card having a few clashes, only Cory doesn't actually catch on to the fact Efrain is pissed off. I didn't get the Column A Column B remark until later, either.

    Cory Arrives

You know, it's almost like we got three chapters in one: Leaving home, arriving at college, and the Preston incident. Cory is great, love his humor, but Preston has him beat: 'the mass accumulation of every brotastic dumb jock'. After than, I knew he would become a favorite.
  22. After having read the subsequent chapters, this prologue is even funnier.
  23. I can see this is another story where I'll have the pleasure of commenting on your brilliant titles as well as the story itself. Treading Water is of course perfect for a story which starts out with two men who have been just surviving for the past year (or perhaps longer in the case of Jared?). Treading water but not getting anywhere, just trying to keep from going under. Apparently, Jared kept Craig from succumbing to depression, so it's natural Craig want to help him in return. But from that kiss we all know what Jared needs, and the question they and we ask ourselves is; Is Craig ready for that? Oh and the chapter title Murky Depths is perfect too. Carly's soul is full of it, drowning her sense and heart and proper behavior - although from their mother's reaction that bitter woman has never had either. OK, of course it's difficult to realize your husband is in love with your brother, particularly when you have always felt you stood in his shadow and everyone likes him better. But perhaps she should ask herself whether she is the cause of people not liking her - even her own mother doesn't seem particularly fond of her right now. But I guess Murky Depths also describes what Craig is feeling. The threat of depression, the loss of Harlan, the secret Jared has been hiding, the unexpected hatred of his sister rising up and him being unable to see the reasons why. Let's hope the next chapters will bring some clarity and understanding. Another fabulous start gripping us by the balls or whatever and squeezing, hard.
  24. Whew, thanks tim, I'm relieved you like it. And to be honest the first two or three chapter are probably the worst, so if you like this one, the chances are you'll like the rest. Gaydar, lol, no I don't have that either, but then I'm not terribly good at figuring out people altogether.
