I'm guessing the minds of mature adults are closed to the imput from aliens and only an impressionable teen like Kyle can be reached. Or else he happens to have slight emphatic abilities himself. Either way, he needs to tell Jim.
I like Kyle for being intelligent and able to face up to his own stupidity and also for standing up to Jim and trying to explain the impossible. And I'm not suprised Jim was furious, but he should still listen and ask questions. He's a scientist, isn't he?
Well, if every day is like a workout, I guess all the guys will be muscled hunks like Kyle. I'm not surprised Carlos likes this planet, and I'm partial to the idea too. And I agree with Rex about the LOL on being thrown off-planet, even if I'm a bit about bigotry = homophobia still existing in a SF setting in the future.
Just the chapter ending I needed to give me some nice dreams But those flauros must have been there for years if there are so many of them. Oh and I wonder if one of the arrogant aliens will turn up at the camp unannounced and get shot by the new weapon ?
Thank you, I'm glad you agree with me about the story, and I'm about the compliments for my review. It's what motivates me to write them, apart from the joy of sharing my favorite stories with you - and hopefully giving the authors a nice surprise.
No, no, no, you can't do that to us, Renee. There had better be an update really soon, or else... As in this year, not next year. Nah, just kidding, I know you won't kill Mark, and anything else can be dealt with. And the silver lining is Mark coming home soon, I hope. Please?
I've just read both Leopard stories again, and now I'm experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms. I miss the guys and the footy matches and the romances and draft intrigues. When do we get the next book? There are so many exciting things in store for all of them and I can't wait to learn how it all turns out.
Den lille pige med svovlstikkerne (The little matchgirl) is perhaps the saddest of all HCA's stories. Not at all suitable for kids, but then he actually wrote for adults...
Katie's grandkids ! Wow...
On the other hand, AC, you did not 'guess' your own story or mine (which you edited). And you were not the only one with double names, I think Lisa did it too.
Makes me tear up every time I read it. Peter will have changed from a child / carefree teen to an adult, but at least he did not have to resort to selling his body, nor did he get any addictions.
I should have remembered to thank you all for leaving such nice comments on the review. Apart from the delight of surprising the author with a review and hopefully capturing more readers, the reactions of readers are the main rewards for making the effort to write reviews. (Oh and Renee sending me nice PMs count too, lol,)
Ohh, I'd almost forgotten about Juha and Adam, so I had to read the original story again. Both of them brought a warm glow to my heart. (Other stuff happened too, as I'm sure you can imagine. )
Of course I only wrote this review in order to confuse the author guessing game after the contest. But I really have no idea how they got rid of Mr. Morrison.
Thanks Lisa, I'm glad I could surprise you with the last part. I wasn't sure whether to add it or not, but AC thought it was a good idea. I'm pleased you approve of Richard's secret santa plan, which was a larger success than even he hoped.
Thanks Def, you're not the only one to want more, lol. I don't think I'll be able to do anything, with two currently incomplete stories. Yeah, both Brady men scored, and Santa apparently thought Richard deserved a surprise present too as reward for his idea.
Not just schools but work places too might benefit from this kind of secret santa. Yes, I also think there will be two couples. I'm glad you liked it, I loved yours as well.
