I've spent quite a while trying to work out what the title refers to. Are the two winning hands simply Nate and Bodie both being lucky in each other as they admit at the end? Or could it be how well Bodie did in the meet the family of your new boyfriend game? He made a great argument for them becoming official boyfriends and he conviced Mark Nate had made a good choice. There were nothing but winners all around in that game. He even helped Nate do his best for Josh, but I guess it's easier to let go of any worry when you've just put a chain on your willing boyfriend and gotten a hot-n-sweet kiss in return. You know, somehow I think becoming boyfriends will help them with developing their friendship. The spark was there right from the start and ignoring it would have made their time together awkward. Now they are on the same level and they can get to know each other slowly, sharing interests and likes, studying together, hanging out like besties.
A New Pair is another apt title, since Nate and Bodie are now official boyfriends. Even more so I thought it was pretty significant that Nate got some sort of closure with Josh first. The hurt of rejection needed more healing and Nate needed to think of them as friends again. I'm glad Kendall was the one to walk in on this situation, since he has the calm and deliberate manner to keep Nate centered on what is important. Like the way K commented on Mark apologizing to Josh. And not only did Nate get a boyfriend, he also gave and got a kiss to seal the connection they both felt right from the beginning. Indeed, everyone can see it, and I doubt they need the 'show of hands' to proclaim how they feel about each other. But I still love the strong symbol of holding hands as they walk downstairs. Oh, and I almost forgot. on the small cuddly scene with the 'old' pair.
Giant fluffy bastard. Roki is an awesome sidelick. I love this story, and I think Lucky will have another almost-heart-attack when he finds out Senna is calling him Master or something similar. Not to mention him sneaking into Lucky's bed. Next chapter, please !
Ha, loved the game with the slimy Voltan, serves him right. Loved the protective and clever 'wolfie' friend, I have a feeling he's gonna be fun as the story develops. Yikes to the nasty surprise in the box.
Yeah, but would it be the same if it was a single ticket? I don't know enough about US flight security after 9/11 to make a guess, but since Zach did it, I suppose we can conclude it's no big deal. Same as with the fake ID.
In this case I think Marshall's instincts are better than Lee's. I feel sorry for Marshall, but I hope he won't feel let down by Lee's lack of attention to what he needs (back-up). In addition, it's unfair to Dustin not to give him clear signs, even if he's a jerk for not respecting Marshall's signals of disinterest.
Why not? He doesn't have to show a passport. As long as his ticket and ID say the same, and the ID passes scrutiny at check-in and boarding, he's good to go.
The main problem might be buying the ticket with a credit card which did not have the same name as the one he put on the ticket. And buying a ticket with cash may be a problem after 9/11.
Oh, kitty, kitty, you'd have been better off trusting the bear from the beginning. Hopefully, Tavo will find out he's a good guy, but in any case it's better than the bad wolves. Unfortunately, they've seen him, so they'll probably find him and Tavo at some point. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a family of protective bears. Can't wait to learn more.
Duh silly me, I meant that ch 43 may be the concluding chapter to HMS Valiant. Sorry about the mistake - but as I can see the story does not yet have Complete status, I guess there will be another chapter or two ?
So I'm guessing this is the concluding chapter to Bridgemont, as we'll see Granger take up a new post soon. Unless there are a few more matters to be cleared up. It's been quite a troublesome journey for him, but the last words seems to predict more difficulties ahead. Hopefully the practise of keeping his temper with Lady Elgin and Nelson will be useful. Happy New Year, Mark, and for all the fun in 2015.
It's interesting how much the lives of JJ and Zach runs in parallel here. They are both injured and have to take a break from their sport. Will they reach the same conclusion about whether to go back or not? I think Stef has read JJ accurately, but I have no idea about Zach. At least he and Will are in a good place with their relationship. What a relief (I know, I know 'famous last words ).
Yay, we got another chapter. Very nice awekening, but even though the sex was hot and kinky and yummy, the best was Mick feeiing relaxed and good in his head. Interesting encounter with the Hollow and I hope the bracelet gives him extra protection. Yikes to the healer shit, but I loved the monster kitty rescue. That should teach him not to mess with Mick. And he may have found a new ability, or is it just a natural extension of being an empath?
Great story, fantastic imagery. I have the feeling only a Hunter and a Guardian together can find the sword. And isn't Alec the swordsman rather than Drake? So perhaps a Hunter shall find it and a Guardian wield it? But the 'mind surrender' is a bit ominous.
I have - and I enjoyed it and also liked it until I ran out of likes. The action packed chapters soon got too exciting to remember reviewing before rushing on to the next one.
I only have one question. Why on earth did Kyle save the bitch commander? Much easier if she had died. But I guess the general incentive to save humans came into play?
