Oh dear life is never easy for those two. Just when Tay was enjoying the gradually increasing intimacy with Kurt he is again confronted with the fact that their outside life in the pack is not going to continue. But at least they have a fair Alpha who will do his best to secure the best deal for all of them. And another cute smell moment for Isla.

Ahh the aftermath of all the drama is also interesting, as well as sweet when they slept together and Tay carried Kurt home. Being forced to spend so much time human and helpless must be difficult for Kurt, but in the end I think it'll make the bond with Tay stronger.

This part seems like four different chapters. First we have some interesting background on Alizia (is every other pack hidebound traditional?). Then the embarrassing mistake by Isla (oops) and the sudden mating of Deoran as submissive, which was interesting. Next a short interlude with Jene and just as you have us ready for a romantic scene between Kurt and Tay, the whole thing explodes into violence, blood and death. Deeply shocking even when I read it again. Actually I almost feel more sorry for Henry than Kurt, who though terribly hurt knows that he did the only thing he could do by fixing the threat permanently. We are reminded very forcefully that werewolves are not just special humans but also animals with quite a different take on some things. And finally you let matters settle again, even add a bit of humor in Kurt telling Tay to stop fussing, and the cute way he gets invited to sleep with his mate. By then we're exhausted too. I think this chapter may be the most intense of all.

Considering how Kurt reacted by biting his hand the first time Tay sat down next to him and petted his fur, it's shows how far he has come, that he now enjoys having his fellow enforcers touch him with praise. Poor Deoran, he certainy didn't make a good impression on Kurt.

Well done Tay. Maybe he didn't get a blow job this time, but he still got to be with Kurt in human shape. And I think every little bit counts towards wearing Kurt's resistance down. Oh and the driving lesson was hilarious.

I like that we get to see Henry Tanner as a good friend, who is concerned about Tay, but also accepting of his relationship with Kurt. And the insight into Kurt's feelings about Tay and his slow acknowledgement of what he will eventually need is riveting. Oh and I loved Isla commenting how Kurt smelled like her brother

Oh what a lovely treat on a Sunday afternoon. Sooo hot Glad Jem was rewarded for being patient, and he certainly shows a good insight in how to handle Kia. He's pushy in just the right way but also respects that Kia has issues to deal with. I still expect them to have problems for a while yet, but at least Jem knows he's made the right choice.

Aww, man that's awful - no I don't mean that the story is badly written or doesn't make sense, but the truth of why Ben was acting the way he did was like a fist in my guts. At some point Sharon should be told, maybe when Carl has finally found someone else, and if she starts worrying about the same problem again, cause he'll probably find the same kind of boyfriend. But I'm not sure that I agree that Ben's solution was the best. I think there is a higher risk that Carl won't dare to trust another man not to break his heart, than if he had stayed with Ben till the end and known that he loved him. I think I'd feel that way. So I dare you to write an alternate version where that happens. One where Tom tells Sharon the truth before the escort stunt and she decides to meddle in a better way. After all, she'll still get what she wants: Ben out of Carl's life and her left to comfort him and find another man for him

Things are developing nicely. I think we've all guess why 'Ken' is having problems staying in the closet: he's falling in love. It's going to be hard on both him and Tony if he admits to his feelings. Oh and the pressure to win is definitely on, but I liked Anne's reminders of the anti-discriminating rules. Wish they could be applied to sponsors as well Deon's talk with Tony had me confused, as I'd completely forgotten what his issue was. I had to go back and read the prevoius chapters to remind me. The good thing about that was that I got to experience the chat twice: once from Tony's point of view, trying to work out WTF was going on with those questions. Afterwards when I read the chaper again, I could see that Deon was trying to find out whether Tony would do the same things that Deon's father and his lover did. This actually made that part more interesting.

I don't really want to post in the CAP forums, because they scare me, but I guess I'll just run away after this Well it’s Mark’s story and characters and Mark knows a lot more about what is going on than we do. So if he says (that Will is right) that the situation with Brad and Wade is just like the situation with Matt & Tony and Jake & Sam, I have to accept it. So let’s see: We have Will who is young and infatuated (in love?) with this older guy Tony, who is deep in the closet / in denial about being gay, and treats Will like shit, but finally comes out and admits the gay part to Will’s family. Will, who by the way is traumatized by the loss of his mother and his stepfather, warns his brother Matt about fucking Tony, after Matt makes a joke about it. Matt is in a serious relationship (almost engaged to) this great guy Wade, who reluctantly has accepted that his boyfriend likes to fool around with other guys, but in this case warns him that having sex with Tony is a really bad idea. Matt (who is also in emotional turmoil from losing Robbie) decides that the warnings about doing Tony is a challenge he cannot resist, so he hooks up with him. After he is found out, he is really sorry, so he does his best to make amends and become a better person – no wait he moves in with Tony and keeps having sex with him now and then for the next six months, before finally coming to his senses. Will feels betrayed and Wade probably feels humiliated by Matt’s (and Tony’s) behavior. Now substitute Will with Matt, Tony with Brad, and Matt with Wade, and Wade with Will and look at the situation in another way: Wade is this young guy who is deeply in love with Matt, but so hurt and humiliated by his behavior that he decides to end his relationship with his boyfriend. Wade is also attracted to this older man Brad, who is not in the closet, not in a relationship (since his husband just died), and who genuinely cares about Wade. So they have sex and talk, helping each other cope with all the bad stuff in their lives. Brad fulfills the need of Wade to have someone support him and listen to him, and Wade stabilizes Brad who was in risk of going off the deep end from the loss of Robbie. Both of them worry about how their relationship would hurt people they love, mainly Will and Matt, so they manage to keep it secret for six months. Once they are discovered, they know they will have to end this and to do their best to make amends and heal the possible rifts in the family. Matt will feel betrayed and Will is furious about Wade’s and Brad’s behavior. Yep I can really see the similarity of Matt’s decision to spite fuck Tony and Wade’s decision to become seriously involved with Brad. They both got a deep emotional need fulfilled and screwed up their commitments to each other and the CAP family at the same time. Okay, now let’s explore the Sam / Jake angle: Brad was this young guy who had just gotten his first boyfriend and brought Jake home and along on a family trip. Sam, a much older man who was in a long term relationship with JP, the head of the family, let himself be seduced by Jake who turned out to be a slut who liked to have sex with other people’s partners. So naturally Brad was devastated to be betrayed both by the boy he was in love with and even more by someone from his own family. He also wished he’d never even met Jake, because then Robbie would have been his first love. Later he was furious that Matt did a similar betrayal of his son Will by fucking Tony. Mainly because this time the family did not rally behind Will as they had done with Brad (Sam got thrown out of the family, but Matt didn’t – though there were good reasons for that, which Brad knew and accepted.) Now substitute Sam with Brad, Brad with Matt, and Jake with Wade and look at the situation in another way: Matt is this young guy who has a boyfriend, Wade, and has brought him into the family of his biological father, Robbie. They are together for a long time, and at one point Wade has sex with Brad who is older and in a committed relationship with Robbie. At the same time Matt also has sex with other guys, including Carl who like Brad is a threat to Matt’s and Wade’s relationship. The couple manages to work out their problems, including why Wade was attracted to Brad and how Matt can give Wade what he needs (a man who can take charge and make him feel secure). The fact that Brad is sort of related to Matt is not such a big deal (as far as I recall), since Matt himself had sex with JP and Stef, and would probably have happily done it again after he found out who they were (but JP was wise enough to resist the temptation for Robbie’s sake). Anyway, later Wade broke up with Matt and he was so determined not to be with him again, that he started having sex with Brad, who could give him what he needed, even if it might be only temporarily. Apart from the sex they also bonded emotionally. Yep I can really see the similarity of Sam and Jake rutting in the woods shortly after having met, and Sam going on to cheat on his wife with the slutty Jake, and Brad’s decision to become seriously involved with Wade. They all got a deep emotional need fulfilled and screwed up their commitments to their partners (who had left them either physically or mentally) and the CAP family at the same time. On the current issue Mark made a point that I found crucial (in a comment to another ch 8 review): So why did Matt/Tony and Wade/Brad include sex? Couldn’t they have had just as deep a relationship without sex ? Well, we don’t know whether Matt and Tony had long talks (but Tony didn’t exactly cuddle or do pillow talk with Will after sex ) or cared for each other, but maybe they did help each other by being roommates for six months. And I guess Brad and Wade should have known better than to fuck, but the CAP family does tend to express their attachments via sex. But I agree that the sex was probably a bad idea and they knew it was wrong but still kept doing it (or at least Brad and Wade admitted to feeling bad). However, I think the real danger for a possible future of Matt and Wade as a couple (which I certainly hope for) and for a major rift in the CAP family wouldn't be the sex between Wade and Brad, but the risk of Brad and Wade falling in love and coming out as boyfriends. And if they had decided that sex would only happen if they became a committed couple that would increase the chance. With the sex being part of their temporary relationship while they were both in between partners, it becomes less of a risk. They would have parted, Matt would have grown up, Wade would tell him about being with Brad, when they started going out again after college. If Matt couldn’t forgive him that – same as Wade had to forgive Matt for Carl, Tony, etc. – well at least they were removed from the situation and Matt would be in a more stable frame of mind by then. And not injured and in the hospital which is a place he hates. Instead we’ll get lots of drama NOW – but then that’s what drives the CAP stories, so fine with me. And I have no problem with Will being right about why Brad and Wade being together is a huge issue - after all I'm fascinated by vulcanoes.

Nope, sorry, I still don’t think Will did anything wrong in relation to Ben. If he’d been told in a private conversation with Brad, if his dad had been genuinely upset by the experience, or if Will had tried to ‘revenge’ a perceived slight, that would be different. But since Brad joked about it at dinner and was obviously fine about the date crashing by Sean, I see no reason for Will to feel bad. (Teasing Sean about the incident would have been mean, though.) HOWEVER, I have no problem with the matter being used to pull Will down from his high and mighty attitude, and it’s a good thing it happened before he surprised Brad and Wade in bed. I was not at all surprised that Wade was Brad’s ‘exceptional’ fuck, I immediately thought of him. Easy to say now, so I’ll quickly add that I’d never have guessed that it was a regular thing or that it meant so much to both of them. But it certainly makes a lot of sense. And here is where Will needs to shut up and think instead of reacting emotionally and way over the top (though I guess he’s just acting his biological age and messed up by his own issues). Brad’s and Wade’s relationship bears very little similarity to the situation with Tony or the Sam/Jack problem. I’m not going to list all the objections I have, as this review would get too long. All I’m going to say is that Will should be pleased that two of the most important men in his life helped each other deal with some awful stuff in their lives and maybe saved each other from going crazy. They both chose to be with the one person who wouldn’t be a permanent future partner, and it would have ended when Wade went to Boston anyway. The only person here creating a drama is Will, silly boy. I hope Steff and JP (and the shrinks) will focus on the fact that Brad and Wade would have hurt more people by being obvious about their relationship and that they would not have healed without it. I feel sorry for them that ot had to end this way, but at least Brad acknowledged that it was worth it. Well done. Mark, you must just love all the different interpretations we have of this chapter

Damn you just had to take the torment of Benny to another level, leaving us all in the same sort of flabbergasted shock as the poor man. I'm hoping the next chapter will be from Benny's POV, I'd love to ge a peek into his thoughts and feelings during the same day and night and morning. But it's great to see that Yuri is actually damaged in a way that does not preclude them from being together, and Benny needs to stop having all these preconceived notions about how to treat him and just ask open questions.

Awww, that's so cute. He has to jerk off for the first time in centuries because he's too scared to tell Jem how he feels and ask his pet to fuck him senseless. And having Jem refuse to be rejected was the funniest confrontation ever. I like this spunky human more and more, and he certainly is the perfect match for a temperamental snake demon. Kiaza's house mates seem to be very careful not to upset him while at the same time being rather determined to point out that they know what is going on and that Kiaza is not going to get away with pretending otherwise. And I have the feeling that once the situation has settled they'll have a lot of fun watching Jem wrap the sneaky shape shifter around his little finger and spank him when he is being naughty. And so are we

I forgot about Matt's shrink, but it was good to see him make the same point: Grow up and get a stable life for you own sake, and the extra reward is that it might make Wade want you back. Why do people conclude that Will has been meddling in Brad's love life just from those few random sentences ? Brad may suspect it just for that moment because he is feeling sensitive, but I bet Will has just been teasing Ben. He's flirting with him and trying to trip him up with remarks about his date with Brad and so on. Will cares about his dad and wants him to be happy, but he doesn't try to interfere or push guys at him. But Brad will have fun teasing Will about it nonetheless

Oh right, now I don't know whether to feel proud or stupid over my last comment about how Corey should come out to his friends. Since he just did AND said that he was going to out himself to Cj. So I guess I can't call him a coward anymore Hopefully his friends will have his back and pound Cj into the dust if he tries anything. But the real thriller is how Clinton will react. Hopefully his parents will comment in a way that shows their tolerance and give him the courage to come out to them. And tell them that Corey is his boyfriend (more or less).

Here's this clever, devoted guy, who went through hell (literally) to find you, and you tell him No. There had better be another explanation than rejection for this, or else I hope Kiorl spanks your hot little butt. Which might be hot too Well, I guess it is embarrassing to have all your house mates witnessing that moment where you're confronted with the fact that someone is in love with you and you might just feel the same way too. Especially after denying forever that it would happen Oh and then there's the small matter of what it takes for Jem to be able to stay. I'm not sure I'd fancy having that conversation with the Prince of Hell no matter the rewards: "Oh hi Nassau. Ehm yeah well sorry about that imitating your dead lover stunt and running away for hundred years. Oh and by the way this is the human who loves me, and woud you mind making him immortal, so we can spend the rest of our lives together ?" Bet that little request will go over real easy with the enraged Prince - NOT Brilliant chapter, Jem is great. And I'm so happy everyone adopted the nickname. Which I mainly used because I can't spell Jeremiah without looking it up

It took me a long time to work up the courage to read this. But I have to say that it was worth it. In fact it explained one of the great mysteries of Nemesis: why Zöe would ever date Craig ? If he was really bad, she'd never have been attracted to him. But he isn't evil, even if he did some extremely repulsive things. Which he'll pay for the rest of his life (as I have the feeling he'll never make it out of prison or maybe only just before he does himself in). And I'm not saying there is any excuse for what he did and especially not to Josh, who had no part in the original mess which shaped Craig. Just that suddenly things make sense. He reminds me of the bad guy in the book Lolita, who is always held up as the selfish pedophile of classical literature. Which he is, but in the book his background history is a tragic love story from his early teens. The girl he loves dies, and they were prevented from consumating their love on the moonlit beach by two old men who happen past and casually drop a few nasty comments. So he was never able to move on from loving young girls. Both of them needed help but were too scared and stupid and macho to get it, and the bad stuff grew to consume them and the poor people who came in touch with them. But to me that is less evil and scary than ruthless guys (including psycopats) who are totally devoid of emphatic feelings for others. You are very brave to write this story and it shows what a clever and versatile author you are, that you can create even those few moments of feeling sorry for Craig in between all the disgust we have for his actions. I salute you Thorn.

I'm actually beginning to like Stuart. I can totally relate to the 'speak before you think and put your foot in your mouth' issue. And just the fact that Stuart was actually worrying about anyone but himself was nice. Even if you can argue that he did it because he's clever enough to see that the band needs Nick to function, so it's important that Nick is happy and functioning, Stuart still made an effort to ensure that Dave - the most important thing in Nick's life - took his responsibility seriously. Ohh and cute with the matchmaking with Zöe and Javelin. Wonder if the Oxymorons get to play at the next police ball Happy to have you back Thorn, and I hope spring and more sun will cheer you up too.

You know what they say: be careful what you wish for... I bet Benny has wished for Yuri to be back in his bed for more than a year, and now that he is, it's almost a worse torture than sleeping alone. Sooo cute and sooo heart wrenching. Awesome

Wade must be hurting so much inside from his decision to cut his ties to Matt, and I bet that's why he is acting the way he is. But I think he is right to keep Matt at a distance right now. It's too soon - or at least we need more confirmation that Matt is moving in the right direction. I'm glad that Matt seems to be getting his shit together, and I feel sorry for him. The pain of losing Wade was just as bad as I feared, even if it was mainly his own fault. It will be interesting to see if Matt can mature enough in the next four years to get rid of the ghost of Robbie's relationship behavior that has Wade freaking. Matt may not chose to do it, from his wounded pride at being rejected by Wade. If so Wade still made the corrct choice. But I think Matt will find that JP and Stef would counsel him in the same direction for his own sake. And the reward would be another chance with Wade - who would be much more impressed with a Matt who grew up by himself and not to please his partner. Can't understand the worry about Matt as chaperone for Will and Zach. After all it's just a ploy to keep Zach's parents satisfied. I hope Matt is too clever to really try to mess with Will. Hpefully, he'll just go along for the ride, let the young couple have fun and time to bond, and fuck his way through Europe. And if Matt can get Will to accept him as a brother, that would ultimately help with Wade too. (I'm not saying Matt was thinking that when he offered, he's not that calculating, just showing the big heart below the bull shit).

Glad to see that Greg is not the bastard lots of people thought he was. I always felt there was more to him than just a 'user' even if he did behave badly the last time. But he's not the one for Corey, Clinton is - though it may never come to be, with all the small town issues. Clinton is no more a wuss than Corey is - and in a way I think Clinton would have been much more likely to oppose Cj if he wasn't gay and in love with Corey. But knowing that Cj is such a bastard who will turn on him at once is a lot more scary when you actually DO have a secret to protect. At least Corey's friends are nice persons - but he is still scared about their reactions. So until he has come out to them, he can just stop whining about Clinton. Even more important, Clinton needs to tell his parents, and Corey should talk to his mom. Then they should start make their own group with Jenny and the other sensible girls and gradually create an alternative to Cj's clique.

Sorry I haven't left a review before, though I'm really keen on this story. I read the short version and it was good but left me yearning for more. This version is so much better with all the small details that makes it fun and even more interesting. You have a special style - apart from writing really well - and I ususally enjoy your stories a lot. Don't be in a hurry to end it, especially not after the visitors start coming through That was one of my main complaints about the short version, that it ended just when things got really hot.

Damn now you're yanking us in the other direction with Ty. Suddenly I'm beginning to think he's straight after all. Especially as I reckon he's to honorable to use a nice girl like Karen as a beard. And now I'll have to wait for the next chapter Great story Graeme, so ignore my complaining

Well done Peter, I'm glad he told Eric off and stood up for his team, his decisions and Julie. I like this guy, but his wife (Rachel) needs to get rid of her stupid irrational jealousy. The next thing we know she'll find out about Tony and worry about him hitting on Peter ! Ohh and poor Tony, he actually likes 'Ken'. That'll complicate things for sure. Your favorite thing to do
