This was fun and it's nice to read something happy and easy. The character reversal made me laugh. But watching TV and running around carrying grocery bags is not something a kid with severe concussion should be doing.

Start Me Up, I'm Breaking Down
Timothy M. commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in Start Me Up, I'm Breaking Down
Finally, Shastan showed some backbone, thank god for that. And I bet he's slightly ashamed of all the stories he's told BtB about Kier being a player. I loved the way Robin took it all in his stride, and I have the feeling he'll be more reasonable about the racing 'news' than Shas. Great chapter, Sasha. -
I always have to take a break from the story after this chapter. So hot, and yet tender and cute. Kit's going to be very possessive from now on - and Tom likes it, methinks.
-
Another fun one, even with the separation angst. My favorite bunny line from Tay: “Fuck like one, eat like one”
-
So after the two Slattery guys bantering, we have the Gilmore guys bonding over how difficult but fun it is to be with their loves. Absolutely hilarious and cute. "you had to go and get one" is my favorite line.

Whenever I read this chapter, I totally crack up, laughing and whooping. Taylan finally got back at Tom for all the crap he pulled and his whole attitude. And when Tom admits how he feels, and says he'd kill himself if Kit leaves him, it's so scary and wonderful at the same time. Will you please, please continue the story, I'm going to run out of chapters soon !

I'm thrilled you like it. If you go to the story forum, there are links to many of the places mentioned.

Now this one I'd dearly love to see a sequel for !

Sorry about the buzz-kill. It wasn't intentional, but I can see your point. However, I did intend to show that Denmark isn't all fairy tale goodness, in case anyone had gotten that impression from earlier chapters. All countries have their faults and issues, just as people do, yet we can still love them, yes?I'm glad you saw Russell's small exultation in a positive light, since I think it was harmless too. When he tells Evan, Russ is more likely to apologize for his unusual good luck, so let him crow now. Also, it made his boyfriend happy :-)

That's a very good point. Zach doesn't care about being popular, only about doing well in football and having Will on his side. He'll be able to focus completely on this (and doing well academically, but I have the feeling he's intelligent enough to breeze through), and being selfish, singleminded and determined is probably a good aproach to dealing with all of the shit that Bucket has pointed out goes with the whole professional sports world. Oh and we should stop discussing Zach getting badly injured. Look how close it came to becoming true.

Chapter 23 A Red Letter Day
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 23 A Red Letter Day
What HAL was in effect saying is that the Guardian is equivalent to 'God' ! I hadn't expected that, but it makes sense. I'm looking forward to more on this, since it seems a much bigger challenge than the military and clueless government telepaths. I wonder in the 'official' telepath family has become arrogant and blind in their assumption of being the only ones with this ability. The authorities would probably foster this belief, because they don't want to admit to the idea that other telepaths would be able to hide and avoid being detected. The irony of this makes me laugh, and I almost want to see Abel deflate the twins by coming out to them, but it would be a hue tactical mistake. I liked the dream Dennis had and I have a feeling Abel Jr and Kade would be more than happy to make it come true. -
You must have been over the Zach injury discussion in the Streak forum knowing this chapter was on it's way. But at least he was thrilled to see Will.

Young and impetuous and impatient, but I think the rash tumble into a surprisingly serious commitment has slowed down with this chapter. They (and we) should have time to enjoy the journey.

Well it's certainly worth while writing for readers who make such efforts to respond and show their appreciation - and inspire me too.I think your idea conerning the motivation for Russ' comment about not getting laid is probably very close to the truth. I'd like to add that it's always easier to wish ardently for something when you know it's unobtainable. I have the feeling Russ would back out fast, if Jacob moved too quickly in their physical relationship. It's been less than five days since they declared their love, and only three days ago (ch 3) since Russ was still rather nervous about sex. As is his (bad) habit he's blithely ignoring any issues about taking the step from oral to anal sex, but to be fair his ignorance plays a part too. At least Jacob knows the score and him being considerate, caring and patient is a huge plus here.

I'm glad you like the small glimpses of a slightly different culture than mainstream US or UK, which are naturally most common here. It's fun if my readers can occasionally experience the same kind of Huh?! reaction or wondering laugh I often have when reading on GA, lol.
-
well, Mark seems to be absent from GA at the moment, since he hasn't replied to Streak reviews or reacted to posts, which he otherwise does without fail. So if we're lucky, he's gone on writing retreat with Granger, or else real life is too busy right now. But despair not, there are plenty of other good stories on GA, just go out there and find them while you wait !

No I'm happy about the first part, since I know it's not the spelling and grammar you found less perfect before. And since I'm working hard (with the help of my beta and editor) to get better at dialogue and 'showing' rather than telling, I'm delighted you noticed an improvement.About Jacob, it's what I like too: he's fiercely loyal and gives his heart and trust fully, and he'll focus all his energy on making Russ happy and nurturing their love. At least, he's found someone who appreciates it and returns his devotion.
-
Glad it made you laugh :-)Yeah, at times Russ is like an impatient puppy wanting to rush headlong into matters he has no clue about. In other cases, he's timid and running away needlessly. Let's hope Jacob can help Russ get his issues sorted out.

The difficult part here is they show no interest in getting assimilated, unlike most other immigrant groups in Denmark. Or actually that's not true: the young women are doing a brilliant job, as far as they are allowed, but many of the guys are not. Even young teen boys of 12 and 13 will be rude to female teachers and class mates (calling them whores and worse). Plus there is a trend of more parents sending their kids to private Islamic schools, some of which are certainly not doing a good job of educating and encouraging assimilation !

Damn, it seems there'll be no easy reconciliation between Deon and Sam. I don't know why I hoped fot it, but you've certainly showed us there are still many issues to work on. And the whole Denise matter is no help either. Clarissa almost makes me feel sorry for Neil. If he'd only drop his weird idea of getting Jim as his boyfriend, I'd be able to cheer for him getting help. Oh and I wonder if he was able to hear Ty talking about the club? At least Charlie seemed please to spend time with Stacey, and I hope his injury heals soon, if nothing else so make Dave feel better. That boy is a mess !

Jacob asked me if I wanted to be alone when I read the emails from my mom. “No, please stay. It’s easier than telling you afterwards.” He kissed me, and dragged an extra chair over. I noticed the email from Kristin was sent before the ones from Mom, so I opened it first. I started laughing after finishing the message and so did Jacob. He told me Kristin had sent him a similar email telling him she was impressed with the change. “And she wasn’t talking about the physical stuff, Russell

Sister T was incredibly scary ! And I still shudder in fright and relief when I get to the pivotal point and Simon rejects her efforts to project 'evil' onto him. A less strong soul may have caved and forever been damaged, and we all know where that could lead ! I loved the way Simon showed Greg how he saw them via the animal symbol speech. And they were honest with him, just as good parents would have been. He has a long way to go still, but at least his feet are firmly set on a good path.

Yes it does sound awful and yet like Kitt I can see the 'attraction' of sorting out the closet problem this way. However, I sincerely hope Mark doesn't even consider giving in to the temptation, since I fear it would ruin the relationship of Will and Zach just as effectively as the strain of keeping it secret and dealing with Zach's silly parents. Can you imagine the pain and disappointment and upset of Zach, if his dream is over before it's even begun? And even a consolation prize of being able to come out of the closet and be with Will openly won't be enough. In fact if Will pointed it out as a benefit, I fear Zach would turn on him and say something very bitter and hateful and unforgivable. Also I think it will do Will quite a bit of good to curb his urges to see everything in black and white or right and wrong. Yes, it's too bad Zach cannot come out and be taken seriously as a football player, but at least if someone threathens to out him, Brad and the rest of Will's family would fall on them like a ton of bricks. If they play their cards right and enlist the help of Will's family, they should have plenty of opportunity to be together - and if they have to spend time acting as friends and not just lovers, it will probably make their relationship stronger in the long run. They'll be forced to find more common ground than just sex. (and I enjoy reading those parts, but it's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make, in order for them to succed as a couple, LOL) Plus Will and Zach are teenagers, not 30 years old and in danger of feeling lonely and unfairly treated because everyone else around them are settling down and they cannot marry the love of their life - or asking stupid questions about finding the right girl and so on. So even if we're impatient to see a HEA solution, I think we need to be patient, just like Will and Zach do. *End of sermon, puts away soap box, goes off to do some writing before bed*

Russell has a tendency to focus on whichever issue happens to be the most urgent right now and pretend everything else is OK. This ostrich strategy worked well with his parents, but Jacob is not so easily deceived or misled. But on the other hand confronting Russ with all his problems at once is not a good idea, either.

now what did I do??If you're referring to the sub thing, please read my responses to the other ch 4 reviews before you spank me too hard, lol. Feel free to take the matter up in the forum too, it's easier to have a proper conversation over there.
