  1. Lots of unspoken issues and hidden agendas and strange behavior. Very intense chapter and well written. I loved the way Patrick politely and subtly stood up to Greg and Rob, refusing to follow the path they wanted him to take. Gives me hope for the future.
  2. Like everyone else I liked being shown that Patrick has at least three great friends, who care about him and helps him. But for me the most important part was the dream. Will Patrick stay frozen and never speak the words to Ben ? Or will he seize the chance he's been given ? Grant's advice was spot on, I think.

    Patrick

I like it when we can see more than the person telling the story. The girls are obviously aware of a special connection between Patrick and Ben. But Patrick has been suppressing his feelings and hopes for so many years, he simply refuses to see the signs. Makes me sad, but at least they've reconnected and hopefully Ben is persistent.

    Chapter 7

Damn, the stalker manages to insinuate himself into the fan and family crowd. But at least his plans to corner Jim at work will fail. Although I guess Jim may still drop by occasionally. I'm starting to like Clarissa and I hope Neil comes to trust her. And the job was actually a good idea in terms of getting a network outside his family. The shop owner strikes me as a potential father figure. The rest of the chapter was tense but good. Introducing Deon's family to his sponsors was a clevr move by Tony. And Todd is a great guy.
  6. Oh the power of a kiss - even chaste and innocent like this it can lead to betrayal. And the sting of rejection can be worse than ten bee stings and kill a friendship too. So why didn't Simon hold on to this happy moment and keep in mind the lesson from the story? That is indeed a mystery, but I guess we already know who the snake in Paradise is.
  7. I'm completely on Mikhail's side here. Brian is a bastard and an idiot. Claiming Mikhail was the cause of the girl having a miscarriage was horrible - Brian lying to her about being gay and in love with a guy was more likely the reason. And in any case women don't normally lose a baby due to shock, surely there was something else wrong (too). Anyway, I was glad to see somebody telling him to stop drinking - although the prologue sort of hints, that it doesn't last long.

    Consent

Well, I sort of understand Andrea, if the alternative is having the bastard fucking her, when he is a wolf. The problem to me is rather that he values the dog more than his son. Boris is great, he has none of the human hang-ups and is direct and honest about matters, whether it's jerking off in front of Oli or saying he loves him. I can't wait for him to deliver a few choice truths to Oli's dad, and somehow I think Oli will be a lot more eager to defend bad treatment of his boyfriend than he ever was to object to his dad being a jerk.
  9. I love the idea that even shy, timid Andrew gets all possessive and dominant about his mate. Yet he's still in need of care and comfort from Jamie. And the double disturbing while they were making out was hilarious. Great chapter.
  10. Wow, Andrew's parents are really old-fashioned, since they think he's the only one who could carry on their name and family. I bet his sister is pissed off with them, too. I hope she leaves and joins her brother at some point. Andrew is cute, and Casey is a good brother, when love has gotten Jamie's head all muddled.

    Explanations

I agree with Astro. You did really well on making the background information on vampire mating appear natural in the context. I also liked that Jackson immediately worked out what the cause of the attack was. Oh, and poor Andrew - but I guess with a leader like Samuel, it's not surprising his parents are ignorant.
  12. So now there's suddenly witches in the story, unusual but interesting twist. Casey and Jamie seem to be fun and nice, and the attraction between Jamie and Andrew is obvious. Well, to us anyway, lol.
  13. Talk about a dramatic start ! I'm impressed that you can pack so much information into such a short chapter. Now I want to know more about the shy vampire, who is brutally attacked.

    Eye to Eye

I agree with ColumbusGuy. But there were a couple of things which puzzled me: Why did David UNlock the bathroom door just before kissing Mikhail That was sort of inviting the disaster of being discovered. I hope we'll find out why he's so scared of being gay. Marvin and the other are obviously accepting, if a bit crude. And I wonder if David ran to the bathroom because Marvin's stupid joke made him upset ? Why did noone react more to the fact that Mikhail has a chauffeur ? Are they all rich ? Marvin obviously lives in a gated property, and while I know this is fairly normal in cities in South Africa (since I've visited once), the lack of reaction to the private driver - and the curfew - had me wondering. Mikhail obviously has a past with the guy he called. Why was his voice UNfamiliar ? Have they never spoken before, or has the guy changed so much ? Oh well, I guess all will come clear in future chapters.
  15. I like the way you introduce us to Mikhail through the eyes of someone else. The only problem is I got so interested in Marvin that I almost wish he was the main character. Why doesn't he just dump his girlfriend? Is she his beard? Or is he just spineless? I laughed at Marvin saying David couldn't be gay, since he was a homophobe and afraid of feminine gay guys, since this would be just the sort of behavior expected of a closeted man. But since Marvin seems to be pretty tight with Mikhail three months later, I'm hoping we'll get several chapters with his POV.

    Prompt 352

That was a really good story about being shy and attracted to a guy, but never quite daring to hope. I loved the conversation, it was so honest - and when I got to the end I laughed, it was totally cute the way Dan finally admitted he was 'interested'. I wouldn't mind a sequel, but it works as a stand-alone too.
  17. Why do everyone from giggly girls to stupid boys and maybe even teachers conspire against Simon? Why can't they just leave him the fuck alone and let him enjoy his innocent friendship with Dustin no matter what it may develop into. But Paxton is great.

    Shaking Hips

I guess Kier has finally found something worthwhile to use his money on: he can let Robin build him a house ! I'm glad Robin is cool about guys trying to flirt or bringing up the past, but he's probably realised that he's dating Kieran and Tristan Toyne is not the same guy. Plus having Kier doting on him has to be pretty confidence boosting.
  19. Shit this is bad. For a second I thought Corbs meant that Peter had called the Marines, but of course it was Dom. This was why he was so calm when he talked to Corbin, he'd already betrayed him and gotten his revenge. I sincerely hope Corbin does his very best to ruin Dom's standing and reputation and status, and I don't care if the whole frat comes tumbling down as well, since none of his brothers have had his back for ages. And Peter can go fuck himself with his sob story and his judgement of Corbin. I'd love for Corbin to tell Mike, he'll wait for him, but I know it's not going to happen. But please don't let him hook up with Peter again - not as a friend and certainly not as a boyfriend. Anything but that !
  20. It never nice to read a story which makes you want to rant at cruel fates and parents, but at least you managed to shine a little bit of hope on the end. Even if I think he was fully justified in every word he shouted at her, I guess he should give her the chance to make amends. On the other hand I'd be wary of letting a controlling, manipulative, condescending bitch getting anywhere near me, if I was in his shoes.

    Chapter 1

I think this is my favorite of your stories even if I want to shake Jory at times and tell him to stop being a fool. Love knows no boundaries, not age, gender, color, or distance. But I guess stubborn pride and fear can almost wreck it. I'm glad Jordan managed to push her brother enough and that Brent was persistent.

    Chapter 1

I found it difficult to understand why they kept having problems after they both acknowledged their interest, but I'm glad they ended up together. They suited each other well.

    Chapter 1

old wars often become numbers and dates and statistics and dull history books. but your story reminded us that every life lost or damaged meant the loss of potential beauty and love, and that the price is too high and paid by human beings who had no choice in the matter. I know there are causes worth fighthing and even dying for, but WWI is surely one of the most horrid and meaningless wastes of lives ever. your tale reminded us of that and gave us a vivid moment of love in the night.
  24. such needless silly drama - and the worst part was Angelo hadn't told his boyfriend either. He's such a selfish idiot, why on earth didn't he keep his mouth shut ? He had to deal with his bad conscience by ruining his sister's life and the whole day by blabbing the whole thing? A better way to make amends (since he still wanted her to marry the guy) was to have gone to his grave with the secret intact. He deserves whatever bad consequences this has.
  25. hope the doc comes back with saddle sores, but I feel sorry for the poor horse.
