Yes I have exactly the same feeling. Granger is telling her he has plans of his own and he is not telling her what they are, because he doesn't trust her anymore. It will also be a test of her obedience: if she does as told, he's won, if she rebels and invests the money 'because I know better', he'll have to take even firmer measures.

I was just waiting for you to say that, Irritable. I knew you'd freak out - and that Oli would too. Poor boy, he probably lost all respect for his dad just then. "My father is..." made me choke it was so hilarious and horrible. At least Oli and Buddy are cute together.

This was fun, both the battle and the subsequent snubbing of Lady Elgin. Hope he keeps finding ways to educate her in politeness. I have the feeling Lord Elgin doesn't mind at all. Maybe she'll listen to him eventually when he tries to explain proper manners. I'm glad to see Granger show trust in his fellow captains and give them their moment of glory. It will help him maintain a good reputation in the fleet and gain him support in the future if Digby and the others become influential. But the best is that while Granger may realize these advantages if he thinks it over, he still reacts this way instinctively because it's honorable and clever. Granger at his best (or almost ).

I like all your stories - and I'm sorry about not leaving enough reviews to show it. But this one is amongst my favorites. Partly because it explains a lot about this world and partly because I love the friendship building between Ulee and Ian and also with the other boys they met. The part with Josephus was bittersweet but very good. I was sorry they only had a short time with him, but his teaching and sacrifice was important and meaningful. I like to think he died happy for having had the chance to teach once more and to help two good boys onto their destined path. Makes me break out in goosebumps. So thank you David for writing such amazing stories, I keep reading them over and over again.

Chapter 17 The Party and Afterward
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 17 The Party and Afterward
I'm glad they had a nice engagement party. It's no surprise the government has kept the restrictions secret. Who wants to admit humanity is being kept in check like an unruly child. Even if we probably deserve it. But maybe it's time to question those rules. I'm betting Abel will want to. -
Thanks. I'm going to update it with some minor changes just before I post chapter 2. Hopefully this will happen before the end of July.

Just keep writing CAP, Mark. That should keep you young at heart and on your toes

Do You See The Pretty Boy Standing In The Shadows?
Timothy M. commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in Do You See The Pretty Boy Standing In The Shadows?
Well, Kier fucked that situation up royally - including calling Robin the club nick name Sparrow when sending him off. Talk about lack of respect. On the other hand Robin should be glad he's been shown what a selfish player Kier is before he falls for him. Kier probably doesn't even know what he really feels guilty about. Is it saying Robin's name to Matty (who should already be aware 'Tristan' is just a fuck) or is it having someone else on his dick when he wants Robin? -
That was weird and totally unexpected. Not really in a good way either. I'm getting this Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde vibe. Uncanny and rather off-putting. Sick almost...

In Norse Mythology the tree of life is an ash (Yggdrasil). In addition the first man (Ask) and the first woman (Embla) were created by the gods from an ash log and an elm log. So you can certainly consider ash symbolic in several ways. And yes Russell has quite a long way to go yet.

Tillykke med fødselsdagen ! Hope you have a demonishly fun day.

When you're eighteen years old, about to graduate from high school, and have a long summer of relaxation and fun in front of you, the last thing you want is for your whole world to be turned upside down. And you certainly don't want it to happen the way it did to me. Loud shouting from the hall woke me around midnight, and before I'd worked out the agitated voices belonged to my father and my twin brother, the latter had left the house and slammed the front door behind him. I jumped out of bed

After a huge row between his twin brother and their father, Russell’s mother sends him off to stay with her cousin in Europe, with no explanation. Reluctantly, the shy nineteen-year-old faces the issues which have kept him in his brother’s shadow for the past five years. It’s a twisted path of denial, anguish and unexpected joy, as Russell struggles to deal with long buried emotions and hopes.

Chapter 16 The All Important Meeting
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 16 The All Important Meeting
Nice development both romantically and with the cousins. Poor Dennis, how embarrassing. I hope him being engaged to Abel will please his parents and improve relations with his brother. -
He, he I also noticed the possibility of a three way, with glee. I think it will happen - and be damn hot too. But the outcome will be to cement the fact that Alex and Wade are friends who fuck and Matt and Wade are a future couple, provided they both develop the way we hope. And Matt's last insecurities will vanish with the knowledge that both Wade and Alex consider him best in bed.

Oh no, no, no. I meant it as a joke. I didn't really want Buddy to be a reverse shifter. Oh man this is so cruel. But I guess it's sort of funny too. In a quite crazy logical manner. Oh damn.
-
Nope, you're right. But I think most of us are using the ostrich tactic on this one. Hiding our heads in the sand hoping it'll go away. I'm crossing my fingers that Kitt is right and the antibodies from Matt's kidney problems are still messing up the HIV test, and that further testing will prove Matt to be OK. But it might still be something of a wake up call for the whole CAP family. And Cody and Kevin are still positive and have to deal with it.

You're quite right, but you forget a few important points. Wade didn't want to be non-monogamous, and he resented Matt for not feeling the same way. Wade usually only indulged in being with other people, when he was upset with Matt (as far as I recall). In fact Wade quickly realized that he'd only have sex with guys who'd attract him emotionally, and his affairs had much more potential to be a danger to his relationship with Matt. This made Wade pull away from those guys or he'd include Matt in a threesome, like with Sean and that guy from his childhood, Trevor or something. Kip is probably the only guy Wade managed to have a non-serious fling with. Wade being emotianally attracted to Alex is no threat to his future relationship with Matt. As I've said before, Matt should be happy to know, someone is keeping Wade occupied in Boston, as this prevents him from getting attracted to anyone else. Now that Matt knows Alex isn't a threat in the long run (and I think Wade is spot on in his analysis), he should be even more relieved. And he'll probably get to fuck Wade more often than if they kept to the original deal of visiting once a month. And on top of it we get to see Matt having fun in Chicago - once he's cleared of the HIV scare, of course. So all in all I'd say Wade's personality is a lot more monogamous than Matt.

Chapter 15 Back to Work
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 15 Back to Work
Awww that's unfair We want to know all about Abel's warm fuzzy erotically romantic memory. Nice chapter otherwise, I can totally see Dennis joining the crew, also to get away from his obnoxious older brother. -
I know it's a callous thing to say, but why didn't the doctors ask about organ donation ? This would be a normal procedure when someone so fit as Greg is brain dead. Unless his kidneys and liver was ruptured due to the impact. And I'm with dughlas here, Luke is going to take it hard having missd Greg's last day alive.

Damn, I was just getting happy for Sasha and now this. It's unbearable. You managed to lul him and us into a happy dream, with Lacey being so nice and understanding, and now James will destroy it all. How could Lacey be so stupid as to let him go up to Sasha's room alone. She's the only one who understands there's something wrong with James, but even Lacey does not know the full extent of his cruel soul. So evil, so sad.

Between A Rock And A Hard Cock
Timothy M. commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in Between A Rock And A Hard Cock
I like Robin aleady, hope he resists Kieran for quite a while. I wonder if his cousin kept his future brother-in-law a secret on purpose, because he knows of Kieran's reputation. -
I don't understand how you can reinterpret Wade's actual words to mean that sentence above. “I don’t love him as much as I love you,” Wade said, emphasizing the present tense. “I don’t know if I love him at all. I know I’m infatuated with him, but I don’t know if it’s love. Like I said, I have fun with him, and we’re good together.” “Until you fuck,” Matt said, much too bitterly. Wade sighed. “I’m here, trying to tell you how sorry I am for hurting you. How it’s eating at me like a cancer. And I’m trying to tell you how much I love you, because I do.” He leaned up and kissed Matt. “This deal with Alex is fun. It’s exciting. But it’s not what we have.” Luckily I don't have to worry about all those bitter slammings of Wade making him out to be the evil guy, because the story and Mark's comments tell a different tale. But I do feel sad and sorry for you all, since it seems to be destroying your enjoyment of Flux. Hopefully you'll be happier when CAP moves on to the next stage.

Chapter 5 Meeting the Browns
Timothy M. commented on Daddydavek's story chapter in Chapter 5 Meeting the Browns
Well it seems as if the lively cousins will bring some fun and color into Abel's bland life. And he'll probably be good for them too. I liked their mother for being OK with their intimacy but upset with their lack of discretion. This lack of control could also have a bearing on their ability to hide their telepathy. -
Ohhh embarassing - but sometimes parents have to bring up the subject to help their kid. I like Sean a lot, it's nice to have a portrait of an older gay man who's kind and helpful and not some awful predator.
