Not only did you portray the hurt and anger survivors feel after a death, you delved into the young mind's lack of experience with finding ways to handle it. Well don indeed!
-
Able III seems to be learning more about his own feeling since the arrival of his cousins. Will be interesting as that facet of his personality continues to develop. Very well done sir. To have me drooling for the next chapter of a sci-fi story is difficult to do.

Interesting point. Being titled and landed, as they used to say, does not necessarily mean wealthy.

while attempting to fix a typo I managed to post my comment below.

OOOO! I get to be the first comment! Able III is really coming into his own. Twenty three seems a tad on the young side from my perspective, but it seems like he is ready to start polishing his emotional facets now. If he does half the job at that he has done at polishing his PK abilities he will be quite the jewel indeed!

LOL! Not weird! Just awake at a time when most of your world is asleep. Fortunately I haven't been plagued by insomnia in a while now ( knock on wood) but I know exactly how you are feeling! I'll look for you when I am awake at odd hours.

That was pretty much my point - if he were a "proper" Earl ( note the derisive tone) and interested in Wade at all he would also need to end things with Fiona as well as see Wade and Matt were done. And don't feel badly about diving right back in - we are all addicted to Mark's work. Look at it this way - there are lots of other vices out there we could become addicted to! This one exercises our brains and has no side effects. (Unless you count the stiffness when I sit and read for hours on end.)
-
I am not sure that is a bad thing. Will is comfortable in his own skin - something a lot of people are not!

I can't see Wade and Alex becoming an open and public couple in any sense of the word for several reasons. 1. Being an Earl carries certain family responsibilities, including the expectations of marriage and continuing the genetic line. Homosexuality can and does occur but is usually kept under wraps. So while they might spend time together, publicly they would be in the same boat as Will and Zack. Come to think of it - that might be an interesting plot twist coming at us! 2. The existence of Fiona. Why would Wade need to prove it is over with Matt when Fiona is in the wings somewhere? Not all ladies would be as comfortable with being the wife of a gay couple as Isadore has been, and I can't see having a deep love relationship and hiding it from your wife as easy as the movies make it out to be. 3. No matter how much both Wade and Matt need time to learn to be themselves, nothing will ever truly change the way they actually feel about each other. Look at JP and Stef. It took decades, and several LTR's before they found themselves settled into a comfortable partnership.

330 - A Bug's Life - The College Years
Kitt commented on DynoReads's story chapter in 330 - A Bug's Life - The College Years
<Sets a can of Raid in every window> That was hilarious! I loved it - even if it made my skin crawl just a bit! -
Officially as of 1:47 PM today, I am a homeowner
Kitt commented on W_L's blog entry in Life is worth an entry
Congratulations on both counts. You of all people should appreciate the karmic implications of starting your life as a homeowner on your birthday, the anniversary of the day you started life! -
Hope your day was bright and sunny, with fair winds and following seas. Enjoy what is left! Happy Day!

I agree, love and control are separate things in Will's world. In spite of being very mature for his age, he has yet to gain the perspective to let him understand that to a degree love is control, and control can be a form of love. I was simply surprised that he didn't toss a bit more of a hissy fit when it was made clear he was not welcome. And to be fair- for all we know the fit is yet to come!

I said that Wade realized he truly loves Matt, but I don't think he is quite to that realization yet. It was just as close as I could come to what I think really happened. I think Wade heard the disappointment and hurt in Matt's voice when he told him he would be going straight to Boston upon leaving England. This prompted a later call to JP asking if Matt had really reacted the way it appeared, at which time JP gave him the disapproving voice. The two combined made him think long and hard about leaving Matt out of his plans when they had agreed to travel together, resulting in the arrival on the doorstep in Paris.
-
JP does love to push certain buttons with secrets and surprises! Had the timing with his frank conversation with Matt about jealousy been different, I would have assumed he had a hand in bringing Wade to France after all. As it stands that is not out of the question, but falls more to the unlikely. Will's acceptance of his being unwelcome in Clairemont surprises me a bit. In the past he would have gone to the family house there and made himself as visible to Wally and Clara as possible while maintaining the semblance of not interfering with the "family visit". Zach's week with the family seems a bit like blackmail to me. While I can understand his parents wanting time with their son, the threat of pulling him out of LaSalle seems excessive to me. As I have said before, LaSalle = good exposure, Clairemont = not so much. Insisting on him staying in Clairemont would seriously hurt his chances. Smells a bit like blackmail to me. As always, a wonderful way to start my morning! Thank you!

Prompt #330 - I Giggle When I Hear the Word 'Underpants'
Kitt commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in Prompt #330 - I Giggle When I Hear the Word 'Underpants'
Hmmm - several comments come quickly to mind: a) too short - I want more! interesting introduction to the boy's sexuality - I want more! c) totally enjoyable light reading entertainment - I want more! Well done sir! Always leave them wanting more! -
Sometimes off topic can be entertaining (Very fun?)

First off my apologies for not leaving comments beyond "like" for several chapters.Life has been crazy and trying to review from my Nook is difficult. Abel III is turning into quite the accomplished psychic! One wonders if the love interest you may eventually introduce for him will be his equal or the exact opposite with no ability at all. Both possibilities provide huge potential. Is there a discussion forum for the story? I am enjoying your work immensely. It is quite interesting in how the two psychics on the Magellan think of themselves as JJ - I have known several sets of twins over the years that thought of themselves as half of one entity. To take that to a psychic ability level could be a fascinating facet to explore. Looking forward to more!

I realize it has been many many years since my one catfighting class back in the day, but wasn't one of the first things the prof's taught that you did not make the argument a personal attack, that you stuck to the merits of the subject matter?

Dang! Maybe I should have started smoking when I was PvtTim's age!
-
Oh yes, very believable. I have known many teens just like him - incredibly mature one minute and totally out of control the next! Makes me quite happy Wings never had such wicked swings when she was a teen!

Let's hear it for both JP and Mark! Hip Hip.....

Exactly. True, sometimes a catalyst is needed. But having been on the receiving end of some rather emotional outbursts similar to some of Will's, while they may have pushed me in the right directions, I could definitely have done with a tad less drama in the process! Don't get me wrong, I think Will was perfectly justified in being upset, and even tossing a bit of a fit. I have just learned over the years that if I can keep things more low key I get where I want to go without a lot of stomach upset!
