I am quite sure @kboishas an interesting twist to go along with the fact boss was informed of Kage's death, but not of his last words.

As I said last chapter, no body means no proof of death. Kage may not be corporeal any longer, but what made him "Kage" may very well be alive and well in E somewhere. Let's give him time to hatch so to speak. Calm. There is lots more story left I am sure. There are way too many threads sticking out all over the place. @kboisstill has a lot of knitting to do. I am not sure "coming back" is the right way to describe what I think happens. I am thinking a symbiotic existence where Kage eventually redevelops sentience and can talk to E, similar to how @astone2292's characters talk with their fuzzy halves.

Ok, after the reactions I got from my last comments on this story, I had decided to not comment any more, but with this one, I just gotta! I think Geemeedee has the ticket. The video had to have originated with Drew. The only other place it could have come from would be the boys having oral sex in public, and I cant picture Johnathan doing that. He damned near crawled out of his skin with Maddox in that secluded corner of the woods! We know that Johnathan was majorly picked on at the previous school, but we do not know if that video was made public at the time. Ms Fox has not said that one way or the other. All we know for sure about that previous series of events is Drew turned on him, and the twits picked up the thread to make Johnathan miserable. Therefor, the video made it into Express hands via someone who has contact with Drew in some way. Sibling, cousin, bestie, someone who spotted Johnathan and recognized him. The hooded one is probably the culprit, since they have gone un identified. Spike is right too, this one has now crossed the line and is subject to prosecution. The problem with that is it would take the stress Johnathan is under and multiply it ten fold going thru the process of filing said charges. There is a reason so many abuse cases ( from slander up to and including rape) are not pursued. A lot of victims just cannot face the attitudes they are confronted with in the process. Not only would he need to explain every minute of his past to Maddox, who may not react very well considering how he reacted to a completely untrue accusation, but would face having to do the same with complete strangers at the local PD Precinct to file charges, some of whom will at best have little to no sympathy for his predicament and at worst outright not believe him.

I think this chapter got the widest array of reaction emogies. Everything but a 😄

That's cause we don't believe she really killed him off. Now, if we SEE his body in a casket at a funeral... But even that is not a sure thing considering she IS writing about the super natural...

Ok, we know @kbois is an incurable romantic so this can't be the end of Kage. She has however left us with a mile long list of questions to chew on till she decides to provide a few answers. Who is this Trevor person? Does boss man know? Is he Huntinton? If not, what has he done with Huntington, and how long ago? What can be done for Kage? Can E manage to do what is needed? How can the Sentinals help? They are too far away to get to CA. fast enough. Can they talk E thru what needs doing over the phone? I could go on for days! Don't order any for me...I am fully stocked. Just need to break out my whett stone. The saving grace here is @kbois doesn't start posting till the story is finished. If she is going to leave us hang while working on a tangential story line she has ALREADY DONE IT! Chris can't influence it by giving her bright ideas.

I am thinking any help from daddy dearest would come with a LOT of strings. Having gone to read the conversation again, it seems that even Thanksgiving dinner had strings. He may not have wanted to shut Johnathan out, but he didn't welcome him with open arms either.

Sorry, I have ro disagree. Pops will look at this as proof of Johnathan's bad decisions, that daddy dearest is the only one capable of making decisions for " the child". After all, going to school at Sunny Hill was just one more way to destroy his life just a little while back.

Well, since you absolutely HAVE to keep us informed as to the alpa slayer and what he does, and it has been determined he is going to be something special when he matures, he is going to need a special mate, and three years give or take is a good age difference. Now you just need to decide the sex of Ty and Mo's little one. You may not feel ready to tackle straight sex yet, but there's lots of time while they grow up!

First - they did not lie about planning to be with their families. If you go back and re-read the chapter, both had their plans changed AAFTER MADDOX LEFT. Maddox returned late Sunday, and Express did its dirty work first thing Monday morning, leading to the blow up after classes on Monday. Grand total less than 24 hours, in which Maddox was feeling sorry for himself and was being uncommunicative with Johnathan. Second, Johnathan had no time to approach Maddox Monday afternoon, he was just having a similar conversation with Ray, who handled the entire thing much better. Third, they did not CONTINUE to be dishonest to Maddox's face, Maddox tossed a major hissy fit and did not allow them to get a word in edgewise. Don't allow me to explain? Don't get pissed I didn't explain!

Ok guys, let's All calm down! Remember, this all took place in less than 24 hours after returning from the long weekend, and Xpress didn't kick into the game till Monday morning! Should Johnathan and/or Rusty told Maddox about the weekend? Of course, but be realistic. Maddox was all bent out of shape about his parents. He was subtly dumping on Johnathan over it, yet not coming clean as to how badly it really went. Did Maddox even SEE Rusty Sunday night? Then how did Rusty lie to him? And as detestable as I find Connor, anecdotal evidence is not sufficient to prove he is behind express! Our esteemed author truly is good at her craft to have you all sharpening the pitch forks and heading out after Johnathan and Rusty. It may be over 40 yrs since I stepped foot on a college campus, but I remember well how gossip flew and drama could be blown waaaaaay out of proportion. Ms Fox will need a REALLY big broom to sweep up the mess she has made!

True, but to delay posting on ANY chapter, much less a cliffie, as a lesson for punishes the rest of us too.

With @kbois we may need to find markers to differentiate types of shifters! Kage the overgrown shadow, Elijah the human that can be any living critter, Ben & Zev the wolves, now all we need is a shifter that can be a piece of furniture while spying on you! There is a slight problem with your theory. The hybrid pups are frozen mid shift. Lycan healing occurs as the body shifts, seemingly because the injuries that occur on one side of a shift are not "normal" and therefore dont appear on the other side of the shift. Frozen mid shift means no more shifting means no rapid healing. Seems like more of a drawback than an advantage. There has to be some other perverted draw to the pups.

Mini strokes and/or TIA's can be almost as scary as a full blown stroke. Fortunately the effects usually ARE temporary. While working thru this remember to take time to take care of each other. Sometimes these things can be tougher on the family than the patient. Hang in there!

Can be even easier. When I made things like fresh ravioli for dinner I always made extra and sealed it in boiling bags (does anyone remember seal-a-meal?). Freeze, pack and go. Boil a pot at fireside and supper is done! While the group we traveled to stock car races ate Frank's and beans heated in the cans we had fresh (well sort of) pasta, and they all scratched their heads trying to figure how I did it!
