Actually it went rather well. The kids she was late for the lesson for are self sufficient, I only had to cover till she showed up, and I would have stood there visiting with mom anyway! The rest is part of a normal day. Some smiths like to have the horses tied, others prefer them being held, and of course some horses just will not stand no matter what you do. These five all are good children. It's more like a coffee break than work. Junior wasn't gone long! Bet Cookie will be glad she can stop looking for him. But you should teach her to seek him out on command. Instead of "Lassie get help" it can be "Cookie get help"

Good morning everyone. I am having an "I don't WANT to go to work day" so of course they call me with errands they forgot to tell me they need done. Why can they not tell me they put the last of the diesel fuel into the tractor BEFORE they run it dry and need to load trucks ? Now need to leave three hours before my first lesson to get fuel because the first dump truck is sitting there waiting. I want to tell them lack of planning on their part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Well no power at the barn means firing up the generator to do water, and cancelled all tonight's lessons. Hard to ride in a dark indoor arena with the lights out! One instructor was intending to teach outside in this! Had to stomp my barn manager boots and say no. Little kids would blow right off the top of the horses!

To the point where if I were near enough I would volunteer to hang with you and make sure you behave should he need to go out. Thank god my new neighbor does not have an alarm! The previous one did, and one of the crazy aquirrels (Yes the small fuzzy ones, not a batty human) thought it fun to jump off the garage roof onto the car and set it off. He would hang on the front lawn or tree till it stopped, then back onto the roof to start over!
