We all looked forward to it every year. Funny watching people who dont ride trying to get the donkeys to go where they wanted.

A slow leak? Some days mine is more like a sieve

Hey peeps. They put the cutest little medicine boots on them to protect the gym floors! The high school i went to did a fundraiser donkeyball game every year, faculty vs local PD.
-
I have wondered the same thing myself from time to time.
-
All my usual Monday chores done and did a spring sweep of the therapy tack area. You would not believe how much dirt can collect on concrete floors and you not notice it!
-
Took the blankets off this morning and first thing bo did was roll in a mud puddle! Might be faster to scroll back through dugh's activity stream. Then it's only his posts and not all of ours.

And no one leaves the shop with his kilt on backward like that kid the other day! Afternoon everyone

Hey there my fav restaurant owner. Was in Valley Forge the other day and wished I knew the name of the restaurant!

Good afternoon everyone. Who are you kidding Marty? You know dang well you would have clicked the spoiler tag! That made me wonder if when he put baking soda in he should have used baking powder. Hubby did that once and was horrified how his cobbler turned out! Hate to tell you what my horse rolls in as soon as possible after a bath, which is usually the night before a show, resulting in a second bath in the morning! I always leave extra bath time into the time equasion. People with dark colored horses can get away with a good brushing under those circumstance, but my boy...(For those not aware, the profile pic is my 28 yr old. ) But young enough to do it anyway?

lol now i have this pic of Mike trying to get them to stay one atop the other and them just sort of oozing down and getting wedged next to something spikey.

The impression I came away with from this scene was that Don wanted to encourage bonding between the guys.

Photographs and Chocolate Cake
Kitt commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Photographs and Chocolate Cake
I can see how Kyles passing would upset all the kids on the floor. Good for Max to be getting out for the weekend, will make it easier to process the loss. Poor kid is still processing the death of his parents, and now a new friend is suddenly gone. You have a nack for making us feel what the characters are feeling. Well done!- 51 comments

Good morning everyone. Wishing the young one a fantastic day at the competition.

I plan on giving tim's recipe a try this weekend. I love half sour pickles, and the garlic sounds yummy. Have had pickled asparagus and I think this will work there too come spring.

I don't recall anyone ever asking you... Are you comfortable with being called Mac, or would you prefer Greg?
-
Morning gang. A tad warmer today, we are supposedly going to make it above the freezing mark! @MacGreg hope you are well away from that avalanch zone I saw on the news this morning! Seems like I have the opposite problem A does. All I want to do is sleep lately! I am all for a little extra, but I feel like I am sleeping the winter away! If hibernation is the goal I am doing it wrong though. I shouldn't be out in the cold so much!

LOL Some of our lesson horses will be difficult till you hand the rider a crop or bat. Instant attitude adjustment! Don't even need to touch them with it!

Could be he just didnt feel like going for a ride.

We had a biter in our place for a long time. You could not leave him in his stall without his buddy next to him for any length of time. If you got back before his third whinny he was ok, after that he was EXTREAMLY difficult to walk out. I was turning him out (around the 4th or 5th whinny) when I saw he was left behind too long. Kept snapping at me. Warned him not to bite me but he didn't listen. The left hook got his attention when he caught my wrist, and he never bit me again. Talking to the owner later it turned out he had been abused and respected only those stronger than him. Guess my left hook said "strong enough". Unfortunately some horses only respect strength.

You did not hurt him by grabbing mane. Its what you are supposed to do if you need help staying on. There are minimal nerve endings in their mane. In fact when you braid manes for shows you leave one handful at the withers unbraided. We call it the OS (oh shit!) lock.

Entitled families have been told they are no longer welcome at our place when they mistreat horses like that. I have gone so far as to escort one "gentleman" off the property at the end of a dressage whip when he hit a horse between the eyes with what I think was a rock, though I am not sure. Lets just say I have given more whip marks to people like him than all the horses I have ever ridden in my life! The horse staggered but was ok as pronounced by a vet btw. I sent him the bill.

Hope she landed in a mud puddle with her pretty white britches

I swear I heard "Don't call me Angie" when I hit the send button!
-
She probably thinks the bucket of hot water from the house is a treat anyway.

My students are given a choice. Back on or to a doctor. If it aint bad enough for a doc, you get back on even if all you do is walk around.
