Glad I could help, Joann. Thanks for the review.

    Prompt 276

Affection By RL Hunter Mark sat alone in the sunroom looking out at his back yard and feeling sorry for himself. If he were not at work, he would prefer to be out having fun in the city somewhere with his boyfriend. Instead, on a beautiful sunny day he was sitting on his wicker couch with his leg propped up with several pillows on the coffee table. His friend David had left to pick up some ibuprofen at the drugstore a minute or so earlier after helping him prop up his leg and opening s

Nor should anyone want to take away your albums. There is enjoyment in vinyl to be sure and the album artwork can be fantastic. Keep in mind that they can also be transferred to digital and that is great if they are unattainable on CD and you want to listen to them on the fly when you are not at home.

    Epilogue

Just so you know, 28 months after posting, you still have readers for this story. I finished 'The List' in 4 sessions and it was an interesting adventure. At first the sex stuck out like a itch that needs a scratch and it was highly arousing. But just like watching too much porn, over a few chapters the sex became... well, not boring but another facet of the story. Then I realize the story had been leaking in all along even though the sex could be misconstrued to be the thrust of it at the beginning. You tell the story in a exciting and lively manner that doesn't bog down when it gets a bit heavy. That is truly a sign of a good craftsmen and story teller.
  9. I used to rent a lot and Blockbuster was one of the places I rented from. Now like a few of you I use Netflix and a bit of Amazon Prime but I mostly buy the BluRay disc of the movies and older TV series. It's cheaper to buy a movie for two people and watch it at home than to watch it in the theater. It's a trade off for screen size but I can go to the bathroom anytime I want and not miss a thing. Additionally most movies include a digital copy nowadays so I can pretty much watch movies anywhere I want. I do occasionally buy or rent a movie or TV series from Apple iTunes as well. It's curious that some have mentioned cutting cable TV. I attempted to do that this summer with Comcast Cable. Unfortunately, my internet cost would have increased. It seems that my internet comes at a subsidized price as long as I maintain the basic TV portion whether I use it or not. Internet + Basic Cable TV (includes HDTV channels) = $60.00 Internet alone = $69.00
  10. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! KC
  11. You could say the same about your front door but we don't necessarily panic about that all of the time do we. Or, do we? It's all in your comfort level. The only time I have ever truly been surprised was once, when reaching for my drink, the plane hit turbulence and suddenly dropped. My drink seemed to pop right up into my hand and I grabbed it without spilling a drop. It was pretty cool and scary at the same time.

    The Babysitter

A kid leaves a toy on the floor = Ouch! Give a kid a little bit of power = Ouch! Unfortunately for poor Ayla, this is what happens in life sometimes. As adults, often we have to grin and bear it and especially when we have no choice. I like this, Kitt.

My graduating class was much smaller. Thanks for commenting, Wayne.
  14. Do you think they will film it? I would like to play art critic but I can't make the show. All kidding aside, I have very mixed feelings about this.

Oh you do, do you? I guess I couldn't have gotten this far without some idea of who is behind curtain No.1 Thanks, Joann.

Ben is not so unlucky, just fallen on hard times. He is a well adjusted guy, despite his high school days. Thanks for commenting, Stephen.

    Prompt 275

Make a Connection By R.L. Hunter Ben Taggard was just about to sit down and eat a fried bologna sandwich with mustard and ketchup for lunch. He rather liked bologna sandwiches but eating one for the reason that money was tight and he had gone over his food budget, and the cupboard was rather spare… not so much. The first bite was delicious despite his circumstances and he was just about to take another when the doorbell rang. ‘Why not?’ He thought to himself and got up to answer the door.
  19. The Sam Cooke song had me looking for another appropriate song as well. I include the link (because I cannot figure out how to get video to actually show) to the Darlene Love version of Chapel of Love which had it's 50th anniversary of being recorded in April, 1963. Ms. Love sang every voice on the recording in what is known as overdubbing. The song was made famous a year later by the The Dixie Cups in 1964. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v669V_UjiDo edit to add: I remember singing and dancing to the Dixie Cups version as a five year old. Good times!

    Chapter 4

I like the slow set up for the rest of the story. Things happen along the way and it's all very interesting and it all leads to this. Nice, not all in your face in the first chapter.

    Endings

In real life that line would usually mean someone gets hurt and you give us a family of hurt. That was a powerful look at life in a day for them. Very emotional and intense. Well done.
  23. I just had a look at the page Graeme and there is an external link to GA near the bottom of the page.
  24. I've had the pleasure of landing and take off from the old Hong Kong airport. When coming in at night, you could look out your window and see into the skyscrapers right outside next to you. Very cool and fun. Of course there were an awfully lot of wonky landings there over the years. Now you have to land way outside and take a train ride or a long cab ride in.
