  1. Gandalf

    Chapter 13

I have just re read the first two books and just like first time I have been up very late this last week. Interesting that the Anglican Communion just sanctioned the Episcopals over this issue nearly 15 years after this was written. Thank God the Episcopal Church has moved well beyond or ahead on this issue. Pax. Steve
  2. Happy Birthday and wishes for a great and, selfishly, productive year. Congrats from Steve.
  3. Gandalf

    Chapter 4

As always your characters pop. Thanks, I think. My nine yr old Grandson is autistic and already shows many of the same aspects. He also is becoming aware of how different he is. Will see where this goes but may well ask my daughter to read this. Thanks for another gift. Steve
  4. It feels like you are moving more swiftly. I continue to enjoy. Pax. Happy New Year.
  5. I continue to enjoy so much. Sorry you aren't getting more of a response.
  6. Gandalf

    Chapter 42

Never has George used his familial and personal power to such rapier effect. Great chapter. Great Xmas present. Hope your Hollidays are/were well. Pax. Steve
  7. Gandalf

    Chapter 2

Wow. What an interesting two chapters. My Grandson is autistic and seems similar. Looking forward to more. Thanks.

    Epilogue

Whew finally finished the re read. CJ and the team clearly are amazing. I have continued to enjoy several of the team as authors or commentators elsewhere but am concerned that CJ has been consumed by the Whale. It seems to happen here at GA. Wish someone would say he is ok. Pax. Oh I am mystified not to bump into comments by me from first reading which I am sure I made. Weird.
  9. Rereading again several years later what strikes so true is the noise of a boat in a storm. Everything that can vibrate or crash or bang in any way does and this is aside from the waves. Glad Bruja is dead and our friends aren't. Glad I now know the ending and yes am glad to be reaching it again. Thanks. Pax.
  10. CJ mentioned working on another story somewhere here. I do hope he reappears in the new world of e books he could sell I should think. Rereading Circumnavigation has me missing him and several of our wonderful missing writers. Are we sure there is not an alligator pond at GA?

    White Hell

I am sure I commented frequently when the story was being posted. Must have been on the forums. What i remember most from the story was the agonizing waits between cliffhangers(ha ha I can say it as I fear the Goat has fallen off one and hopefully a safe landing). The story sure does continue to grab and no the problem is stopping reading. I downloaded the stories and read on my laptop often without internet so I missed many of the pictures and map links which are amazing. Thank you again C James.
  12. Thanks again. You do enliven the most boring events in a playful way.
  13. Even though I didn't come ou until the later 60's I some how missed out on your rollicking times not fair. I grew up in New England where we could pretend racism didn't exist. Even though my partner at the time(and again for the last twenty years) adamantly refused to pronounce his Franco-American name in the French pronunciation. Another great chapter. On to catch up on the next one. I am so glad to have hooked on to your adventure.

    Chapter 1

I am hoping to enjoy this as much as I have your other stories. Nice start.
  15. Sooo it's December again. 2015. This is just as hard read now as when first read. At least I don't have to wait for the next chapter.
  16. Just as sweet all these years later on re read.
  17. Ah. One of the few mistakes made by the Goat in this chapter. When our intrepid detectives mention Ares sinking east of Great Isaac light(cay): clearly to be in contested waters mystery spot would be west of Great Isaac, toward the Gulf Stream and Florida. But going into Kolibari bar. Eek. This continues to be one of the most stressful fictional events of my life. Thanks again wherever you are.
  18. Man this is so hard to re read knowing what is coming. But what an amazing story. I sure wish the Goat would re appear and write again. Most of all hope he is ok on some nice island.

    Miscommunications

So fun to be re reading this adventure. I sailed my much smaller and slower boat this far so I have been amazed at the detailed accuracy of Terciera, Lisbon, and Gibraltar. As well as the sailing knowledge. Just wish the Goat would re appear with a new tale.
  20. Gandalf

    Chapter 40

George is such a stand up man. To ensure the crew gets some of its due. Calvert is an interesting twist. You leave so much to be revealed. Hope you are well and know how many of us give thanks for all the work of you and your team. Pax. Steve
  21. Gandalf

    Chapter 19

So many plates in the air. And now a few more added. Ryan back should be interesting and my guess is that Buzz and son will also be sucked in quickly. I will be interested in hearing more about our new Ensign's(correct rank?) adventures. Oh and the Widow's web. I'd be depressed too. Wish You well. Take care of yourself. Pax. Steve
  22. Thanks for your ongoing work. It is fun following all this adventure happening under the radar.
  23. I agree that this epic rang true as a sailor and in every other way. Wish this attention would bring the Goat back to the herd.
  24. Thanks for the ongoing work. I am enjoying it a bunch.
  25. Gandalf

    Chapter 67

As always this is a great addition to your adventure. Thanks for your work. Always glad to have more. Pax.
