Ah. One of the few mistakes made by the Goat in this chapter. When our intrepid detectives mention Ares sinking east of Great Isaac light(cay): clearly to be in contested waters mystery spot would be west of Great Isaac, toward the Gulf Stream and Florida. But going into Kolibari bar. Eek. This continues to be one of the most stressful fictional events of my life. Thanks again wherever you are.

Man this is so hard to re read knowing what is coming. But what an amazing story. I sure wish the Goat would re appear and write again. Most of all hope he is ok on some nice island. -
So fun to be re reading this adventure. I sailed my much smaller and slower boat this far so I have been amazed at the detailed accuracy of Terciera, Lisbon, and Gibraltar. As well as the sailing knowledge. Just wish the Goat would re appear with a new tale.

I had not started your story until a couple of days ago. What a great story. I only wish my partner and I had found the mentors that Peter and Tom have. Eventually I found a great gay mentor who was an Anglican Bishop. Pax. -

Thanks for the topic and, like the reviews, it has helped me understand the subject more. Here at GA the interaction between writers and reviewers is more interactive than most sites. I really enjoy that. I have also speculated that this symbiosis may have been a factor in authors becoming so prolific that they overdose and disappear. But it is total speculation. I know I comment more here than other sites because it the feedback. That being said I , too am reading on a tablet or phone now and my reviews have become much more cursory or generic. Sorry but even this much is really hard to get off on this damn device. Pax. Ste

I think I wrote book reports on Hornblower books from fifth-eleventh grade. Having Granger back almost recaptures that feeling. Many new twists to assault us in future follies. Thanks Mark.

I am not sure if it is true but it seems that more really good authors leave this site than elsewhere on the net. I wonder how much the dynamic of these boards is a part of that. It has been alluded to by several authors. For example writer starts writing and develops a fan base which encourages them to write more and more until they are burnt or their other life is affected. Dom, vista,C.James,Riley Jericho come to mind. Not sur how real this is or what/if there is a solution but like all I wish Mark well and hope for his return. Well and any of the others mentioned. Yes. Even a vampire ending if necessary but if you are able to find another plausible one that is fine. After all we know the more common endings and some even know of endings that did work back in time. Guess I will stop commenting given this will be deleted shortly. Thanks as always for your work.

Sad that GFD characters are less vilified than in this. Having a grandson on the autism spectrum makes me look at where I fit I that spectrum, or where my daughter fits. Maybe some day we will be able to see where we are in this spectrum. Thanks for bringing your considerable writing skills to this taboo.
