I only have the last coat of touch-up to do in the loft. Should do that today instead of starting the doors but don't feel like joints would handle the up/down of the ladder (not that there won't be some up/down when paining the doors).

Need to get off here, put some music on, and start the prep work for painting the hallway doors. See all of you later this evening!

I just woke up from a "nap" that was too hours longer than intended. Sleep if your body tells you you need to.

I've been stressing the last couple of weeks so I'm going to spoil myself this weekend. Going to fix some shrimp scampi for lunch (much easier than it can sound) then later start the prep for boeuf bourguignon (not easy or quick - and normally not something I'd make for only myself - but worth it; going to use the "Double Down" dark red blend by Dark Horse). Then I'll turn on some music and paint the hallway doors, because I'm a freak and find that relaxing.

Mom just called. She was glad things progressed quickly, rather than a long drawn-out decline.

There's an aquarium near here that has a similar feature. Tunnel goes underneath their shark tank. Haven't been there yet, but would be nice to see.

Just got a text from my brother telling me that my Aunt passed this morning. Glad I took off work yesterday to go up and see her. 😢

My brother just sent me a text -- she passed this morning. Was good to be able to go up and say goodbye.

Having read it, I agree that the story would loose something if you tried to do that -- not to mention that would go well beyond a hard edit. 😉

Seems like the med unit did more than just install Louie's chip. Sounds like he's a bit less canine and a bit more Kaynen. I missed that it fixed things with Zane too (his seeing "details he hadn't seen before"; Louie seeing colors he couldn't begin to name and an even greater sense of smell)

Drove up to see my Aunt this morning before she passes. Mom and I went over once I got into town. There was enough of an awareness that when mom said we were there, her breathing rate changed. Almost like she was struggling to the surface. I told her to relax -- that she didn't need to respond to us, and sat holding her hand. Told her I loved her. Weren't there too long, but by the time we left her breathing had settled back into a calm and regular (if shallow) pace. Her blood pressure (top number) was in the 50's when I left to come home. They expect she'll go this weekend. My youngest Aunt is, again, holding everything together for everyone else. Just once I'd like for her to be able to be the one to fall apart -- let someone else "hold it together" to help everyone else cope.

"Forged in Fire" had to start putting a warning at the start of each show, reminding people that playing with GLOWING WHITE-HOT CHUNKS OF METAL can be dangerous. This was after someone in California (I think) burned down his house and an apt. bldg. trying to emulate what he saw on the show.

Someone was wanting to build a housing addition in OKC that was going to be tiny homes -- not for the homeless either, just a "normal" housing addition. Got a lot of pushback from people afraid it would look "like a trailer park" or "decrease their property values" blah blah blah. Not sure how it turned out. I'll have to look it up. I know the developer was taking a lot of effort to show how they were going to be built and look just like any other home - just smaller.

Bedtime for me as well. Was 71 F for the high today -- will be 55F for the high tomorrow; BUT only a light chance of rain tomorrow (no storms) and rain on Saturday (w. nothing severe). Going to have to drive up to see the parents and my Aunt on Friday then drive back the same day; and then sneak into the office on Saturday to catch up. Which could be difficult as this is graduation weekend. Ug.

I wouldn't consider Jet or his dad one of those. They are.... quite definitely NOT nice beings.

Thinking he might be easier to control if he had one.... Hm....

Pain Rx, nap, cooked lunch, and going in to work for a short time -- and they'll probably ask me why I'm there and tell me I shouldn't have come in but there are deadlines for a few things that have to get done. 😞 At least my my pain level is down to about a 3 (almost my baseline), instead of the upper 5 / lower 6 it was when I woke up this morning.

Up early, but joints are not happy. We missed the tornadoes and the golf-ball sized hail missed this side of town. Will have rain all day today but should be nothing else. Just under a flood watch at the moment. Not heard how much rain we got overnight. High tomorrow will be about 20 degrees F cooler Hope all of you have great days.

Logging off myself, so I can relax on the couch -- been sitting to long and the hip is complaining. We're just outside the Tornado Watch area, but could still be a long night.

It's May in Oklahoma - "apocalyptic weather" defines this month. 😉 Just knowing it's finished and correct [3rd times the charm?] is helping me relax some.
