    Chapter 4

This sounds like it's going to be quite the prank.

    Chapter 3

"They must have sweat like pigs in the early summer heat, is all I can say." -- Had to laugh at that, 'cause you know it has to be true. Liking Kelly and his group of friends, and how he's thinking through what he's doing - both the legal and ethical aspects of it.
  3. Stayed home today to, as the boss said, try to "reset" myself. Work has been stressful recently, but it always is this time of year; just seems extra stressful this year. I know part of that of loss -- of my love, of my aunt -- and part of that the weather, which has been keeping my pain level much higher than normal. Consistent high pain makes it difficult to deal with the stress and increases my depression; increased depression makes it harder to deal with the pain; and soon I'm "circling the drain" so to speak. I know my coworkers are concerned about me.
  4. Glad you're doing ok Molly. Looking at the readings for the Mesonet station here in town, in the last 30 days we've received just over 19 inches (48 cm) of rainfall. Normal rainfall for here for the month of May is 5.4 inches (13.7 cm). Next month is our wettest month, with about 4 inches normal. We could get 3" in the next 10 days.
  5. Stay safe @Kitt and @mollyhousemouse!
  6. We should be through with the fun weather here this evening. Hope things in NJ stay safe for Kitt. Sorry you're not getting timely information. Hate Dr's who do that.
  7. Intensely dislike the lawyer, or whomever he is, and the way he is handling the situation. He essentially stripped Jimbo of any real choice and has left both him and Mason in limbo. If his aim is to ensure they are safe, he is failing.

    Chapter 17

Had to laugh at the "Bear" incident. Glad poor Louie won't be so lonely any more -- finding out he was that lonely was kind of sad. Very hot ending to the chapter.
  9. Boss missed the large hail and no tornado touched down in the town itself (I don't think); but she said it was raining so hard you couldn't see out the window at all. At one point a bit earlier in the afternoon it was dropping tennis-ball sized hail (~2.5" or ~6.4cm). Starting to hear thunder here now, but if we're lucky the severe bits should pass just to our South (unfortunately, that means right over top where my best friend lives). Update: worst of it will pass just south of here -- like less than two miles; getting some pea-sized hail here but not much and that's nothing compared to what it was dropping earlier
  10. The system is moving into the town where my boss lives -- possible tornado and still dropping golf-ball sized hail, sirens are sounding now [there, not here].
  11. Going to be a VERY long long evening. Some severe weather to the SW of us with us in it's crosshairs at the moment. Tornado warning on it at the moment, with 2" diameter hail. Could INTENSIFY once it moves North and crosses I-35.
  12. Thank you, everyone, for your support through all this. It's been a tremendous help. Trying to take things as they come, and not let the thought of "everything" overwhelm me.
  13. My friend drove me down early afternoon. It was good. Emotional, but good. I'm left feeling more peaceful than I expected to be. 💕

    Chapter 34

    Wonderful chapter.
  15. I hope you had a lovely view of the thunderheads forming, and maybe some lightning in the distance, but avoided anything severe.
  16. Happy birthday my Boy, your Daddy misses you and loves you. 💖🎂 The cemetery office opens at 9am. I'll call them and see how swampy they are after all this rain. If they're relatively dry then my friend will drive me down. I'm assuming their office will be open on today of all days. I know what Section-Lot-Block-Space he's in [it's a huge cemetery] but only having been there once, and not in the best state of mind, I'm not sure i can find it without direction from the office. They have a "virtual tour" but it kind of sucks and their isn't anything on their website that actually shows the Section/Lot/Block breakdown and which is where in the place.
  17. Joints have been behaving today. Should be calm here tonight and tomorrow for the first time in over a week. The tornado that hit El Reno late last night has been rated and EF3 -- which is pretty ** strong for it being what should have been just a brief "spin-up" tornado. Some damage in other areas of OKC but El Reno was hit the hardest. Thankfully, the deaths haven't risen above 2; 29 injured. Night-time tornadoes are the worst. The tornado was about 75 yards wide at its widest point and was on the ground for 2.2 miles. The tornado began around 10:28 p.m. and lasted four minutes. When they start forming from a more classic "super-cell" you can have quite a bit of warning but the "spin-ups" are just that -- normally they're brief, week, and only last a few seconds at most.
  18. Watching thunderstorms roll in can be pretty -- being worried about getting swept to Oz not so much.
  19. Blasting Eurasure on random - have 21.2 hrs of them, that should be enough. It's a needed mental break. Need to absorb things and get ready for tomorrow -- if I'm able to go.
  20. Going to put a second coat of paint on the hallway doors - which is silly given how much I hurt yesterday [and Friday evening], but I'm going to do it anyway.
  21. Same here - went to get a couple of simple things but only got one of them; just too many people for me to deal with.

    Many Hells

Think focus on this was lost when I was trying to get the size down. Says, "You wake up every morning to fight the same demons that left you so tired the night before, and that, my love, is bravery."
  23. Another night, another round of severe weather. Deadly tornado through El Reno and a weaker one through OKC itself near Frontier City; real bad because it hit late night, around 11pm. Two deaths in El Reno. Massive amounts of rain with lots of street flooding yesterday evening too. 😢 Edit: two deaths in El Reno, haven't heard where but most likely the trailer park that was hit. Quite amazing that there were no deaths in the hotel that had it's second floor shredded
  24. Hope you all have a nice weekend. I just woke up and plan to relax today, if possible. Joints aren't going to let me do much else today anyway.
