It has been a while since we had a lynching at GA. I think we should revisit the event. Thanks for for sharing this story with us all!

Weekly Update Weekly Wrap Up (Sept 11 - 17)
wildone commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Thought I should mention, the first draft I posted I had Valkyrie winning LBO instead of LPW Then I realized I don't have permission to give away LBO -
In case you haven't guessed it yet, Renee is still away . If she isn't back soon we might have to send out a search party. Both Cia and I are exhausted with picking up her slack So here is what happened this past week. Monday, we usually would have a story featured in the Featured Story blog. This week, Cia gave us some insight though a review by Aditus on Mikesboy's poetry for NaPoWriMo. This appeared to be a great success as there is 2 pages of comments left for the feature. It is good to see some of our Poets getting the recognition they truly deserve. On Wednesday, Renee shared with us in the Premium Promo, a story by Layla entitled Desolation Angels. We received a excerpt from this interesting story. If you want to read it, make sure to pop by the blog to find out how to get this great story plus many more if you sign up for a Premium Membership. All the details are in the blog. Thursday was a big day for a big announcement. A.J. and The Author Promotion Team announced to the site that Valkyrie was our newest Signature Author!! Valkyrie has amassed a large amount of stories as well as been a frequent contributor on site as an editor, reviewer, and winner of Last Post Wins . Make sure to pop into the blog or her topic in the Signature forum to congratulate this deserving person. Friday, Cia finished the week up by throwing down the gauntlet to see if they were any takers to this weeks Writing Prompts. This week #530 had a first line of "Pull over, I'm going to be sick" . #540 had a tag of The Flood. Lastly Cia feature Sasha Distan's return to the prompts with giving us a glimpse of prompt #526 entitled East-Jesus-Nowhere. Ga's Newest Signature Author: Valkyrie
wildone commented on A.J.'s blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
Congratulations Val!!!! First winning LPW and now the promotion. Bask in all your glory -
The leaves are turning and falling in my neck of the woods. Have they started where you are, or are the leaves just starting to come out as you inch you way towards summer? As the weather chills, I turn to more reading as the days are getting shorter too. We had a busy week here at GA and with Renee away, I am going to attempt to fill in for her. Monday, we started off the week with Cia letting us know about the C S R feature for the month of September. Thaw by Puppilull. Make sure you get the chance to read it and then come back for the discussion day on September 26th. Wednesday was the first one of the month, so we were treated to the ever popular Ask An Author feature by Dark. In entry 42, Dark talked to Andrew Q. Gordon, Nephylim, skinnydragon, and W_L. These are some of my favourite authors, so make sure you check them out. Who knows they might become some of yours. Friday finished up the week with the challenge being thrown down in Writing Prompts 528 and 529. 528 challenges us to come up with a story involving these words; a zoo, a bright green shirt, a hot dog, a security guard, and torn pants. 529 gave us a tag of the Trip; There is a good news bad news sort of win at your job. There was a trip to the one place you have always wanted to. The trip includes air fare, hotel, and two meals daily. The bad news is the one coworker you can’t stand one the other ticket and will be with you the whole time. You can either go with them or give up the trip of a lifetime. What do you do? Finally Renee shared Mikiesboy response to 527. That is the best (and first) concession speech I have heard on GA For the pure comedic value of it, we need to take things away from Northie more often

Chapter 46 The Day After Day
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 46 The Day After Day
i've always have had the feeling that Don and Sue have known Robbie was gay ever since they met him and Tom back in England. I'm sure they were hoping that Fran and him would work out, but will accept him no matter what. Have to remember that this is from Robbie's POV, so as a horned up teenager who is probably frightened to come out to a large degree, he is looking for anything that might suggest someone will reject him, so he will be prepared. I know I did that a lot when i was a teen. Why do I have the feeling that Robbie will be the last to know that everyone else knows -
I'm going to go with my favorite print cartoon characters over video. Would have to be a toss up between Garfield and Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes. Much better memories of reading these cartoons then what is put on the tv. Then again.......I'm old

MEEKO !!!!!!!!!! Welcome back

Sorry, I don't believe Taxi's to be the money grab. What I have a problem is that a bunch of people get together and say they will pick someone up, drive them somewhere, and drop them off for a fee. What a novel idea!! Oh wait, that is what a taxi cab does. Taxi cabs need a certain class of license up here, they need a criminal background check with the police, they need to carry 3rd party insurance (btw, look up how many times Uber's supposed insurance has paid out for accidents that their drivers end up with no coverage from their personal insurance) and bi annual vehicle inspections. Are you willing to put you grandmother/grandfather, mother etc into a vehicle where you know nothing about the driver and expect that Uber's sub par security check is enough to vouch for them? Yeah right... If you want to act like a cab, then you need to pay the costs of being a cab. Period.

Howdy Partners Today is the last day of stampede, so I shall be putting away my Cowboy hat, boots and buckle for another year Today I want to start the blog off by announcing the Love is Love Anthology is now been published and available for download or purchase of hard copies. Since the tragedy in Orlando, many great Authors and Poets combined together to make an Anthology to bring some hope out of the darkness and celebrate something everyone has in common, Love. Lots of our own Authors and Poets have made contributions to this worthy cause. Make sure you pop by Cazpedroso's Blog to find out more about it. Back to our regular scheduled programming, we started out on Monday with Aditus bringing our attention to a great story by Parker Owens in our Featured Story this week; A to Z. A great review will give the you more than enough information on piquing your interest in this story. Wednesday Renee let everyone know about the time of year when you, the Authors and Readers, get the opportunity to tell us what you would like for anthologies for next year! This is the first step of soliciting your help with this task. If you have ideas or suggestions, please visit the Anthology News blog to find out how you can have your say. Friday, Wayne brought us all 2 new Writing Prompts. Prompt 514 is a creative one with the first line of "Where on earth did you find that?" (If it is a winning lottery ticket, please return it to me as soon as possible ). Prompt 515 is a creative one as well with a theme of a Fairy Tale. Renee also shared with everyone two responses from the previous week. One by Mikiesboy and one by Cia. Howdy, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend I know I am, and I know Renee is as she is off camping! Monday brought us our Monthly CSR feature from Cia. For July it will be featuring the story The Window Washer by Zenith. I might have to look at this one as the short description has piqued my interest. Being the first Wednesday of the month we got another look into the minds of some or your favourite authors with Dark's monthly Ask an Author spot! This month Dark grilled popular authors Cole Matthews, M.A. Church, Riley Jericho, and Carlos Hazaday. On Friday it was back to our weekly Author stimulation exercise of Writing Prompts. This week featured prompt 512, using a list of words and then 513 with a tag of Marked for Death. Renee also featured two responses; one from JohnAR and one from jamessavik.
